Incorrect CCJ showing

Hi All,

 

I have had a nightmare of a week! I am currently moving out of my parents house to relocate for my job. this mean i have to let. so i've found a place and told the letting agents i had a CCJ about 4 years ago but it was settled in full. However its come back saying this debt is still on my file and they think i lied on my form. I cant find any documentation or anything so i rang Barclays who the debt was to and asked if they could help but all they said was i'd have to go into the bank.

 

All the letting agent needs is some sort of evidence it is paid, do you think I'd be able to get anyone to do this over the phone or fax something through.

 

I think when it was paid it was paid to a DCA rather than direct to Barclays but cant remember who, any ideas??

 

It was paid off over 4 years ago.

my mum paid it for me on her card, we've found out it was paid to Moorcroft and know the exact date but they cant do anything without a reference or account number and Barclays cant help with either.

The credit card statement would be able to prove who it was paid to and when. Moorcroft should be able to help u as it was them who u paid it to. They should have sum type of records of pass accounts.

 

Personally i would contact back moorcroft and demand to speak to someone in senoir management if the idiot on the phone is not much help.

 

I lost an account number of mine from sum time ago and all they did was a database search and found everything.

you could consider a SAR to Moorcroft? this should get you the info you require?
