  2. Hi members, I'm a muslim and I'm working in European Retail super market for more than two years. If I guide muslim customers about halal food, then do I do something wrong? Today one muslim man bought some food item, which was not halal, i told him that the food item, what you have bought is not halal. Then he asked me to do refund that food-item. I did refund. But my supervisor did my complaint to my manager and my manager got very angry on me and spoke with me very harshly. He was just about to kick me out of my job. I just want to know that 1) did I do anything wrong? 2) Is this valid reason to terminate my job? 3) I felt that now they will deal me in different way, and they will try their best to get rid of me? what I should suppose to do in this situation? I will be thankful to you guy, if you will share your knowledge with me. Looking forward for replies. thanks

  4. Hi, I have been having problems with debt over the 2 years. I've now put myself in a position to climb out of the hole I'm in. I moved this weekend & my employer knows this and now wants to know my new address.. The problem is they passed on my previous address to bailiffs when it was request before.. Because I am unhappy with them disclosing this information I am going to refuse to give my new address but pass them my parents address as a C.O. As far as I am concerned, I will have notifications of any mail sent to me by my work, and my home will be my safe-zone. By that I mean I can live in peace without having to worry about random bullies knocking at my door until I have got my footing again and I'm able to gain a debt-free status again. I have recently set myself up with a DMP (Stepchange) who are starting to 'manage' my debts with me so I am on track to get things paid up.. What are my legal obligations to tell my employers my address..? Am I legally entitled to pass them a C.O. or PO-Box because I need to feel safe in my own home? What does this clause say I need to provide? Also, Who are they allowed to disclose my details too?? I assumed by doing that they were in breach of the Data Protection Act. Does this count for government requests (E.G Councils)?
  5. Hi can anyone help me before I get myself into trouble? I have a young colleague (21) that keeps snitching on me to our boss. I am finding this very irritating and would like to put in a complaint against her. For instance I recently called in sick due to a stomache upset that I had been sent home from work for. That morning I drove my son to school and she passed me in her car but did not acknowledge that she had seen me. By the time I got back home I had received a text from my boss requesting to know why I had called in sick if I could drive my son to school as this person had informed her. Then today our CEO sent an email informing the company that we had taken over another company and that it would manly affect our department. I addressed the email and then was told by every person in my department that they already knew is some shape or form, i then stated that I felt leftout and thought that I should have been informed if everyone else knew. Within half an hour of the tell tale colleague leaving my boss who was out of the office called me to say that she had received a call from the grass and why was I voicing my opinon about the take over and getting my knickers in a twist. I explain that the others had informed me that they all knew and that i simply said that I felt left out. Why did she feel the need to call my boss and am I right to want to put in a complaint because I feel that this may be happening more than I am aware of?

  8. Hello to anyone that might be able to help -I hope ive posted thi in the right are wasnt sure. I live in a one bed house with my 13 month old baby and need more space. Im told that I have very good potential to extend to a 2 bedroom house but dont have the funds to do it and a poor credit history will not enable me to take a loan out. will my mortgage company (ge money) consider a further advance with a poor credit history and a recent payment arrangement due to hardship. Im guessing they wont even consider it but just exhausting all my options! Any suggestions welcome
  9. If this is an inappropriate posting then please forgive me but I am curious, do those of you on ESA as I am tell people you get this benefit? Personally only my closest family and my boyfriend know because previous experiance has shown me that it can prejudice people against you these days and as I have an invisible and fluctuationg condition people who see me on a day when I am well might think I am playing the system especially in the current attitude to claiments of disability benefits. I am curious if other people are also wary telling others that they are on ESA or the like?
  10. Hi all! I've got a pretty common name, and have been hounded for years by a debt that seems to follow me around that has nothing to do with me. Now, I've sent the DCAs dispute letters over the years, and they go away, and then they come back - seems the debt just gets sold from one DCA to another time after time (yes... even when in dispute it seems... anyway; not to worry about that for now!) My question on this thread is, I sent them another dispute letter - and they've come back asking for my name, address and date of birth so they can comply with Data Protection 1998 and provide me with further information. I just went back saying "I am not and have never been a customer of yours, have not entered in to any agreements with you nor the alleged creditors you claim to represent - so I shall not be submitting my personal details to you. It is quite clear to me, since you are contacting an incorrect third party, that true adherence to the DPA 1998 is not something your company really values". And proceeded to tell them to remove all personal details they have about me (they seem to have my address, mobile number and name at least) - or else (the usual Trading Standards, OFT, ICO threats etc...).. My question is... what next? I guess we're at a stalemate? Presumably they'll keep hounding me and demanding my personal details... the reason I contacted them this time is they threatened a potential home visit - and I'll know I'd end up punching someone if they turned up Do I have to give them my personal details to enable them to try to 'prove' I am the debtor? As I say, I have a common name - hundreds of 'me' just in the south of the UK if you look at linkedin... what do I do? What can THEY do? Since I know it's been following me around for well over 6 years, it's bound to be a statue barred item; but I don't want to give them my personal details so they can send me the 'information' for me to prove that.. . and I'm not going to chance a statute barred letter at them as that may infer to them I know more about the alleged debt than they've disclosed to me All this for a 'debt' less than £300 *sigh* Any advice or guidance gratefully received

  13. Hello all, I've recently had some help from CAG which I've really appreciated but now finding myself looking for a bit more advice. I currently live in temporary accommodation but have now been given a date to leave (end of July), I have been offered rented accommodation but won't be available till mid September so I'll be living in a friends caravan between July and September. Unfortunately I won't have a postal address during this time. I have 3 debts, one priority, one non priority and one in dispute. I'm making token payments to the priority and non priority debt but have not made payment to the debt in dispute. Do I tell the creditors I will no longer be at the address and will have no mailing address until September or do I just wait till September and update them with a new address? I will continue to make my monthly payment as normal.
