Ruth xxxx 14:46:25 First, as for your issue about cancelling the transaction while I understand that you have a good reason to withdraw from your purchase, however please note that as the listing has already ended, I'm afraid that only the seller has the ability to cancel the transaction. Ruth xxxx 14:46:32 You will be surprised to know that most sellers are responsive to buyers who are willing to keep an open communication with them. rogerxxxx 14:46:48 the seller is not in the UK - it is not a genuine listing rogerxxx 14:47:21 ebay has the ability to cancel the transaction where it is fraudulent rogerxxxx 14:48:29 & Seller isnt responsive & evasive about where he actually is Ruth xxxx 14:49:59 Please note that we will only consider a transaction as null and void if the seller is no longer a registered user or if the item has been removed by eBay. rogers28xx14:50:13 can you pass me to the supervisor please now plse rogersxxxx 14:50:37 the item should be removed by ebay & the sellers other items as they are a [problem] Ruth xxxxx 14:51:01 I understand how you feel about this but to assist you with your report about their listing, I will need to transfer you to the relevant department. I'm doing my investigation right now. I appreciate your patience. rogers2xxx 15:08:01 note how the seller doesnt actually say where 'item' (if it exists) is located Robertxxx 15:11:08 I'm still investigating. I'll be with you for a while. rogersxxx 15:11:18 ok ty Robertxxxx 15:13:44 Thank you for patiently waiting. Robert Cxxxx r 15:14:26 Your report has been noted and we'll take appropriate action against the seller if necessary based on our site rules. Please be aware that we are strict on our policy especially with the item locations. rogexxxx6 15:14:56 yes but i want the sale cancelled & my paypal transaction refunded - today rogexxxx 15:15:22 i dont understand how ebay allows sellers from overseas to state their location as UK rogexxxxx 15:16:02 i do not believe it to be a genuine listing Robexxxxx r 15:17:25 I understand your situation. Since you already paid for the item, the best option you can do is to send another message to the seller and ask for your refund and to open a Cancel transaction case in Resolution centre. Please try to get in touch with the seller if the seller will not respond until 23rd of March, contact us back for us to take action against the seller and we will then cancel the transaction for you then our Resolutions team can help you to open a case for your full refund. Please understand that we have policy in place so we need to follow this. rogxxxx 6 15:18:13 hi i have already sent him a msg he has not responded I do not want to anxiously wait until then, i want to do it today before the item is (not) sent roxxxx6 15:19:38 he is playing the ebay system which is why it should not be fixed in this case Robxxxxxr 15:20:13 I understand, but there's a possibility that the item is on its way, I can see that the seller has a good record of sending items right away. Just in case that you receive the item and it's not from Cambridge UK, I suggest you to open an "Item not as described" case to get your refund. rogexxxx 15:20:44 how would it be on its way on a sunday ? plse explain. also he has zero feedback - how would this be a 'good record ? Robert Cxxx15:22:56 There's a possibility that he already post it, I have no idea about that because only the seller knows that. Also a member can have more than one accounts. Please be aware that we are not allowed to provide any further information about the other accounts of this seller. Robert Coxxx 15:23:06 But I assure you he is a genuine seller. Robert Coxxx 15:23:08 I can assure you that by doing the best options I've provided, it will surely resolve your concern. rogers2xxx 15:23:38 how is he a genuine seller if he states item is UK his location is UK but he actually isnt ? Robert xxxxr 15:24:18 I do get your point and that's why we have policy in place to protect buyers like you. Just follow all the options I've given. Robert Cxxxx15:24:24 I believe I have addressed all of your concerns. Please follow the steps you've been provided. . Thank you for using eBay. Enjoy the rest of your day. 2. Would the following descriptor apply if the person went for a face to face assessment: "Engagement in social contact is always precluded due to difficulty relating to others or significant distress experienced by the individual"
  3. HP Pavilion G7. Downloaded an update for the BIOS, as instructed to by the HP support Assistant. Everything checked ok until installing. It prompted me that it was Flashing, and do not power off the machine. Three days later, I had the same message, and the keypad, and keyboard were disabled. After Googling I realised I had little to no chance of the upgrade being successful. I therefore removed the battery, and the AC power. After that, nothing. Plug the power back in, and nothing. The AC power light won't even light up. Phoned HP, but they said they would charge me for telephone support (even though I would not need it if their support software hadn't told me the update was available). I wouldn't be so bothered if it was my laptop, but it's not. I know these things happen and I can't help feeling responsible. I don't want to have to buy him a new one, so any help would be appreciated. The laptop is nearly 3 years old and out of warranty. Thanks guys.
  4. I would be grateful for some guidance and advice My father in law has been in receipt of LTIB for decades. Last year when he migrated to ESA, he was put in WRA group contribution based, which will only run for 12 months. He appealed for Support group. He has an appeal tribunal on 10 February, which I will be accompanying him to. Am I right in thinking that any representations do not need to cover limited capability as DWP has already agreed this? And therefore we just need to focus on demonstrating that one of the Support group descriptors apply? Is there a list of the descriptors? How much detail is required to prove one? Would it help to get GP reports?
  5. Hi everyone, new to this so I hope someone can give me some advice. I had to leave work in 2002, and received Incapacity Benefit and IS. I had two assessments in 2004 and again in 2009, where I scored just under the required 15 points and so "fit for work". I had both decisions overturned on appeal. In July 2013 they sent me the dreaded letter about migration to ESA, and I was sent for a F2F assessment in November Because of my previous experiences with assessments, I had asked for this one to be recorded, but despite this, I was notified a week before christmas, that I had scored ZERO points. I immediately asked for a reconsideration, was given 6 different lots of advice from the DWP phonelines ( never spoke to the same place twice despite calling the same number) and Incap Ben stopped on 2nd January. When I eventually got the copy of the HCP's report in January I could not believe his assessment, it was made up totally of lies and assumptions, and had focused entirely on my physical issues, ignoring my severe depression and OCD. I was so pleased I had the copies of the recording made. I had been told they had a minimum of 14 days but no upper limit of the time it would take to reconsider the decision, and the only way I could get ANY money would be to claim JSA. Anyway, last Monday I went to Jobcentre to claim JSA (under sufference), made my claim. When I arrived home guess what? A letter from Chesterfield stating they had overturned the original decision and I was in the Support Group for 12 months only Sorry to be long winded, my question is : How long do you normally have to wait for the new award to be put into payment, as I am now desperate for money for Direct Debits etc. I am terrified that because I signed on, they are going to change their decision to put me into the SG for ESA. Can this happen? Any advice would be appreciated
  6. i dont even know where to start with this one, but basically when i was pregnant i was told at 29 weeks to change from jsa to income support. all throughout my previous claims (ESA/JSA) i stated my partner worked 24 hours a week. when i signed up for income support the woman didnt even ask about my partner. they paid me income support but wayyyy too much so i called them at the first chance to explain that i think there had been an error, i asked the guy how i would go about paying back and he said because it was their mistake i wouldnt have to pay back. Cue debt collection letter 4 weeks later demanding all of the benefit be paid back. i sent a letter explaining the situation, that i was told i didnt have to pay it back, i got a phone call mid-june to explain my complaint was being dealt with. i rang up a few times for updates but was told it was still being looked into. another debt collection letter came about 4 months from the original claim saying i had to pay it back.they didnt even have the decency to send me a letter or call me to explain the decision.i have chosen to send this to an appeal cos i was told to go on that by numerous people from jobcentre when my jsa ended. and to be told not to pay it back cos it was their mistake. someone at the beginning of december 2013 rang me to explain that the original advisor didnt fill my form in properly and they take ownership for that but because i signed the form they sent me stating my partner didnt work then it was my fault. (i dont remember signing it tbh) i still explained i wanted it sending to a tribunal. i received all the information this morning and they have made me out to be a liar. the customer statement i sign has been 'lost' apparently, and it says i attended a work focussed interview at batley jobcentre,i was never even reigstered at batley jobcentre, my local one at the time was dewsbury. the only time i went into desbury j/c was to hand my matb1 from in to say i was on maternity.it just seems the letter theyve sent to me, which is also going to the tribunal is full of a load of cr#p to be fair, how can i possibly win this when theyve made stuff up?i hope this makes sense, just ask if anything isnt clear but does anyone know what happens now its gone to tribunal?can i appeal what theyve said cos theyve lied about loads of stuff.
  7. I was on ESA income based in the work group. Then after going for a medical was placed in the support group from 30th July 2013, as my medical conditions have deteriorated. . The letter from DWP says I have been moved from the work group to the support group, but does not mention that I have been moved from Income based ESA to Contribution based. ( I thought you could only get contribution baseed ESA for 12 months, which I have in the past) As far as I knew I was getting Income Based ESA in the the support group. The first I knew was on Christmas Eve was a letter from the council saying that I owe £390 in council tax from 30th July, which has tyo be paid by 2nd Feb as based on my income I only get part council tax relief. I went into see them as I have dont have this much money, or anything like. I have asked them for time to pay but they will only consider an agreement if the council tax is in default and a summons has been issued ( which cost £60). I have tried ringing DWP but just get passed from pillar to post. If I had not been moved to the support group I would not be in this situation I am at my wits end with what to do...............
  8. According to the DWP website, Post Work Programme Support lasts for 6 months but no details of what follows. If anyone has any info I would be most grateful. Those who started PWPS in June will now be asking the question.
  9. Five months ago i had a Work Capability Assessment by ATOS. The DWP have just sent me a letter stating that i have been placed into the support group. Can anyone tell me what this means please, and do i still have to keep sending a Doctors note to the DWP?
  10. Hi all. First time poster, frequent surfer I currently run my own business which is just not happening (I do web/graphics design mainly through PPH and the competition with overseas is crazy). I understand there is some sort of help for people in the UK on low incomes? What, if anything, can I get help with? I live on my own in a privately mortgaged house. Mortgage? Council Tax? Tv License? General Cash? Can I get on Job Seekers as I have limited work - Or would I have to 'stop' all work (not keen on doing this unless I need to to get the other benefits as I dont want to be forced to get a job cleaning toilets)? More after help with the bills so I can plod along with my work as it is and hope it improves. R.
  11. I've claimed Income Support as a carer (on carers allowance at £59.75) and was expecting my first payment of IS tomorrow, but have received one today in my bank for £13.01 which seems quite low to me and am not sure how it has been worked out.
  12. i have put in support grp dont know how long for afraid to ask anyway if i appley for pip will it affect my esa if i dont get it ie pip will i lose esa thanks guys
  13. Hi My son is on employment support allowance, he has adhd, odd and possible asg, he was told how to access a loan company. He got a loan for 400 pounds from pounds to pocket. It was too late for me to stop him, and I had no knowledge until after the fact, then he starts to get the letters of default that I found under his bed, now Makenzie Hall are ringing our home telephone. He has never worked and is not expected to, he is not in the support group for esa, as I think they have written him off due to his disabilities. His impulsiveness is a horrendous problem and it gets him into all sorts of trouble. I have looked at the p2p website and they state you have to be employed to get a loan from them, he told them he was only on esa, and disability benefit(however he does not get disability benefit)He gets confused. They gave him a loan to his bank account, so that sees him taking all his esa out, before they can get hold of it, that means trips to the bank at 2am, and his money is spent the very same day. He has no idea of spending carefully. I asked him did he tell them he was working and he said no mam, only told them I was getting my esa, and disability, which he does not get, although he should. So now I have got a very stressed 21 year old who has the social age of a 14 year old. He's scared to answer his phone, and keeps saying he can't cope. What is the best way to deal with this one please?. Thankyou
  14. Hi, Firstly I hope this is the correct place to post this. Here is my situation that I hope someone will be able to shed some light on for me. I am in receipt of Income Support due to the fact that I provide care for our disabled daughter. My partner receives carers allowance. Through income support we get our interest paid on our mortgage (a god send). Last year I decided to begin studying a degree. The hours were minimal (16) and having checked with Income Support as long as it was under 21 hours there would be no problem. I applied for and received Student Finance as follows: Tuition Fees: £6000 - paid directly to the college Maintenance Loan: £4290 Broken down as: £3575 Not based on household income + £2340 Based on household income - £1625 Loan replaced with grant Maintenance Grant: £3250 Parents Learning Allowance: £1508 Adult Dependant's Grant: £2642 I have spoken with Income Support today for a review/update and on giving them these details they have informed that I could have my benefit stopped and have to repay any overpayments. They couldn't however tell me how much or when. The mortgage interest is huge for us and if it came down to it I would leave the course to maintain the income support and payback whatever was owed. Can anyone advise what amounts from the above they would take into account and how they would work this out? Thanks in advance D4
  15. So, the wife and I needed new laptops, and we saw the offer of £100 cash back. To be doubly sure that the offer applied, I rang their customer service line to ask if I could click and reserve both computers in one transaction, or whether we had to buy them separately to get the full £200. I was advised that I would get £100 off EACH laptop and only needed to do one transaction. I therefore went ahead and reserved the laptops, and went down to pick them up from Currys/PC World Derby. "39 Bruce" served me, and I again checked with him that it was okay to put both laptops on one transaction. He assured me that it would be fine, and duly processed the sale - issuing me with TWO claim forms with separate cash back reclaim numbers. He pointed out the dates for claiming, and seemed to fully understand the terms of the offer. I now come to make the claims, and have had one rejected as there is a maximum of ONE voucher per person. It appears that I should have gone to the store with my wife, and bought the laptops separately. So, a word of warning. DO NOT ASSUME that CURRYS / PC WORLD staff know what they are talking about. If they are unable to properly advise on their own promotions can you really believe what they tell you about other companies computers or electrical goods. I have all the paperwork, and will be taking legal action against them for a clear breach of CPUT 2008. I just wonder how many thousand's of pounds they have squirmed out of paying by the mis-advice of their staff, or making customers go through hoops to make their claim?
  16. I claim IS and DLA due to my mental health problems. Today i have received a letter from the DWP. About your income support. i am writing to tell you that your income support will change. This is because of a change in your circumstances. From 10th may you are not entitled to income support. This is because you have to be available for work. You should claim job seekers instead. Today is 20th letter is dated 16th september,May 10th is 4 months ago and im still getting payed my IS.My cicumstances have not changed either. Im worried sick and dont understand what it means, cannot phone till monday to find out.
  17. Hi, my husband claims for us as as couple, he recieves Incapacity Benefit topped up with Income Support, he also recieves high rate mobility and middle rate care. I claim carers allowance. I would like to know when the time comes to swap over to ESA could he close his claim (heard so many horror stories about ATOS!). I would then put in a claim for us for income support, is this allowed? if so would there be any adverse affects regarding his DLA. I have checked a benefit calculator and according to that we would be no worse off. Many thanks.
  18. I was put on W.R.A.G, on appeal through tribunal it has change to support group. I received letter from D.W.P this morning informing this. But can not see how long I am in support group. Tribunal has rec. 2yers. I did call D.W.P last week for ref. to tribunal decision and I was told it will be same time length as W.R.A.G ie. 18 months but letter which I received this morning it dose not say any thing about time any information on this will be help Thanks
  19. After stress full 6 months wait for tribunal date and having won tribunal need few days holiday do we have to inform D.W.P where and how long we are going for our holiday
  20. Ok, so I am in the support group and i understad that as such the contrib based esa, like goes on forever and doesn't change to income based after 365 days so I have a question that's been bugging me... If this is based on the contributions I have paid over the years in work is there a limit to the number of contributions that I can use? I mean, does it sort of ''run down'' the contributions that might have been used towards my final pension or something? So will I get less pension if I stuck on ESA for the next year or so? And how do you know how long they - ATOS - has suggested you have off to recover? I was assessed in feb 2013 and haven't heard anything since and I am really beginnning to watch the postman and dread what he might bring. (and my psychiatrist says I worry too much Haha) also, and sorry to be going on so, but if I am the 'contributions' support group how do I get free dental care as my teeth are suffering and they said I have to be on' income based' ESA to get free dental...so win some lose some I guess. i know about the HS2 form but with the extra money on 'support' group do you think I'd be be able to get an HS2 on the basis of low income? Right. Done. crawling back into house.
  21. My husband has survived an ATOS interview. As a result his ESA has increased and he does not have to undertake any "work activities". The letter hes received says he has been placed in Support Group. Does anyone what this means? Thank you (in advance!) LT
  22. hi there, i am in the process of appealing ESA having been placed in wrag group, when i meet the descriptors for the support group. i have and appeal tribunal date set for next month and have received the appeal papers. There are many inconsistences in the bundle and i need to send my submission in ahead of attending my tribunal. I have additional medical reports to send to support me being in the support group. Hopefully if i can get the information across properly the decision will be overturned, and i will not need to attend. It feels like i will be saying the same thing over and over , it has been ignored in my original ESA form, and in my appeal letter- so not sure how else to address this without saying the same things all over again. I have never had a medical, but there are medical reports included in my tribunal bundle- which have been written on the basis of my ESA form- yet ignore my statements of difficulties and no attempt has been made to date to contact any of my consultants or GP to validate my statements , yet they have been discounted . i have cognitive difficulties amongst my problems and am finding it very hard to find a way of writing my submission.- im getting overwhelmed trying to find a way of stucturing my submission and wonder if there is a template anywhere that i could use? i understand it should be concise, but i dont know how to write it can anyone help me please ?
  23. Hi all, I'm not new to the forum, I've just had so much trouble logging in and resetting my password etc that I found it easier to just create a new account. To cut a long story short, I'm disabled, and so is our 4 year old son. I was on incapacity benefit since 2007 then switched over to contribution based ESA last year. Our son receives the higher rate of both mobility and care component of DLA. My husband claims carers allowance for him. I received a letter today telling me that my ESA has stopped as it's been 365 days and that now I have to claim income based ESA if I still want to receive it. Last year I became self employed (making cards, working less than a couple of hours a week and making mere pennies, no profit).. DWP are aware of this. I'm wondering if we would be better off claiming income support in my husband's name on the basis that he receives carer's allowance. I currently receive £110 a week ESA untill next week but I'm worried we might be worse off if I stopped my claim for ESA and applied for IS instead. Also, housing benefit has been suspended because the ESA is due to stop. So that's another weight on my mind. I have an illness that means I don't know how I'm going to feel from one minute to the next, so I can't hold down a job, and my self employment is really just a hobby that I felt I had to declare incase I got in trouble for selling my cards. Pleas help! T-I-A
  24. Hi everyone. In January I was put onto ESA in the Support Group as a result of severe depression, anxiety and falls. During my recent appointments both my psychiatrist and CBT Therapist have recommended that I try to do some volunteer work locally to help build my confidence and begin my recovery. I would be looking at 4 hours maximum a week or fortnightly I'm a little bit concerned that because I'm in the support group that I'll be seen as fit for work (which occupational health and my other doctors say I'm not) and the DWP will force my recovering quicker than would be recommended or I'll be breaching my benefit allowance. Many thanks
  25. Hello I'm new to the forum and wonder if anyone can give me some info. I am 34, currently live with my parents and due to mental health problems have been in receipt of IB for several years. Today I received a letter telling me I will need to apply for ESA which I would rather not do as I know I will not get awarded any or enough points just for the mental health descriptors and I can't bear another ATOS interview. My mum is in recipt of ESA (contribution I believe) she was paid off several years ago due to the need for several operations and she has numerous health problems. Her ESA is due to run out this month and as my father works I don't think she will be entitled to ESA again but she does receive DLA middle rate for care. I am wondering if it would be possible, rather than apply for ESA, to apply for CA and IS? If it is possible, would I still have to attend interviews at the job centre etc even though I care for my mum for over 35 hours per week? Thanks
