  1. ...Hello, I recently bought by mum 2 x 2 seater leather settees from Sofology costing £2300. They were delivered on 7 November 2022 and within days of normal use by my mum and stepdad, the backs on both settees were showing signs of sagging. My mum reported this as a fault to Sofology and provided photos to support her complaint. Sofology sent one of their people to my mum’s house on 29 November and his assessment concluded that there is no fault on the settees, the rear cushions just need vigorous plumping on a daily basis to keep their shape. My mum has been left in dispute with Sofology as they are denying a...
  2. ...I purchased a corner sofa from Sofology in September 2019 costing £1899. The sofa had a few faults, including issues with the quality of the seat cushions which sink to the point that it feels like your sitting on the frame, the frame was protruding against the material at the back of the sofa and stretching the material, and there were visible staples in the internal corners. Due to all the issues around Covid etc, I didn’t make a complaint to Sofology until July 2020, this was done via the Resolver website. Sofology replied quickly to my co...
  3. ...Hello, I need some advice / help regarding a dispute I have with Sofology. Not another one I hear you cry! We bought a sofa from Sofology after seeing one in their showroom and falling in love with it. The sofa is less than 4 months old. We complained about the quality of the sofa: excessive wrinkling of leather insufficient padding improperly installed - the legs under the two seater part (it's a corner sofa) hover above the floor and do not make direct contact. They sent a technician round who met with my partner who was mentally unwel...
  4. ...Sofology: We spent our Christmas on deckchairs WWW.BBC.COM Customers of the furniture chain say they have been left without orders and in the dark. But we knew all about Sofology before this, didn't we Boys and Girls https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/search/?q=sofology&quick=1&updated_after=any&sortby=relevancy&search_in=titles...
  5. ...I purchased a leather settee and chair from Sofology in August. 6 weeks later we noticed that the leather was discoloured and flaking in the seat area. We reported this, they sent a technician out who said it wasn’t a product issue and that it was potentially caused by us sitting in jeans. I have spoke to customer services today who have also suggested that jeans could be the cause of the issue. They have ‘kindly’ offered to replace the seat panel as a ‘good will gesture’. I am now concerned that this issue will simply reoccur within months unless I ban people from wearing jeans when sitting on the ...
  6. ...ng this with Felinni sofas on display in both the Glasgow and Edinburgh stores, we wrote and called Sofology for feedback. Since September we have contacted Sofology numerous times including photos to document issues without follow-up to my calls. In the absence of a reply from Sofology (call/email) I again visited both the Edinburgh and Glasgow stores to compare the leather on the Fellini sofas on display and to show the staff the pictures of our 6 week old sofas. In both stores staff were very surprised to see how loose the leather was on our sofas as stated that this is not how the leather should be especially considerin...
  7. ...Not sure how to proceed with resolving my problem. We purchased 2 reclining sofas from Sofology 2 years ago. We recently decided to change our living room configuration and on relocating the 1st sofa I discovered that the 4 part reclining mechanism had put 4 deep grooves in my 3 old carpet. The damage is so deep it has gone as far as the carpet backing. I moved the 2nd sofa and the damage done is the same. There was no warning on any paraphernalia on the sofas nor had we been informed of the possibility of this happening by the Sofology salesman. To prevent this damage being done I would have had to raise the sofas u...
  8. Bought a 3-seater about six months back. And alignment of seats was gone within few weeks. The left side seat is hanging 3-4cm backwards and right side seat has gone 3-4 cm sideways. I informed them by email asking if this is normal, and do I need to worry about this as the misalignment may deteriorate further in future. They sent one technician home who scrwed some screws in the wood frame and left. The sofa went sagging withing next few days again and we complined again. Same guy visited us and left us doing nothing, very rude, saying everything is exactly how it should be. When we asked him to look at the back of the sofa where the whole frame is out of shape, he kept pointing from the front that everthing looks ok from the front. We told this to customer care who asked for images which we provided. They said everything is fine and cant do anything further. The gaps in the sofa are slowly increasing. Should I go to Small claims court
  9. ...Hi I bought leather sofa from Sofology for £2000. It has been delivered on the 07.06.19 but it's faulty. I contacted customer service and took photos on the same day and asked for help. They sent "independent" technician 2 weeks later who told me he can only take photos. Later on the sane day Sofology emailed me that the technician resolved the problem. Since that time the customer service ignores me. It's shocking and I feel like dealing with [problem]! I need to return the sofa as I know they won't help.I don't know how to tackle this problem....
  10. ...I received leather sofa from Sofology, financed with an Int. free loan from Barclays (Partner Finance) Hours after delivery, it became obvious that the sofa had manufacturing faults (different cushion front panel heights, and inadequate partly filled cushions to the seating area. Raised a complaint (!) and provided photo/video evidence....asked for correction or collection! Initially fobbed off, told there was nothing wrong. Persisted, and 3 weeks later, I appear to be dealing with a senior colleague, instead of the 11 or so 'Tom, Dick and Harriets' that I had encountered in a sequence of email/call centre 'one-off' contacts. ...
  11. ...ong winded explanation. I have had some sofas delivered to me last week, 23rd May 2018 from Sofology. Two days into having the sofas we noticed, 25th May, one of the recliners was wonky and has not been aligned correctly so I sent Sofology an email with photos asking them to correct this. I received an email telling me I will be contacted within the next week for a service visit. Three days in, 26th May, I now notice a gathering of material on where I sit and the back supporting cusions. I sent an email to Sofology explaining the problem and expressing my disappointment. I also told them I wanted to raise this...
  12. ...Hi, just registered having google searched issues with sofology, ended up reading some problems other people have had. Thought I would post about an issue I have and looking for any help in dealing with sofology. From the start... Visited Sofology and ordered a two seater sofa, a three seater recliner and a matching footstool for a total cost of approx. £3,000. Have to say the whole buying experience was great, no pushy sales people no hard sell, so far so good. We got a message just before Christmas and arranged delivery for 23rd December 2016. Sofa arrived on time, all was good. After a few days ...
  13. ...I ordered my new sofa from Sofology and received txt on March 30th saying it was ready for delivery. I arranged a delivery date and had to pay extra for a Saturday delivery. Disposed of my old sofa and sat on kitchen chairs for 4 days. Then I received a call saying my sofa wasn't ready the night before it was due and it could be anything up to 4 more weeks. I'm also told they do not do Saturday deliveries in my area (Dorset). They offered me a replacement sofa which I accepted (It's the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever sat in) which they delivered on Good Friday. A week later I get told my sofa is now ready and I should go to their websi...

  15. ...Purchased a sofa from @sofology. They were very clear in the shop, once you get the delivery text you must have arranged for delivery to take place within 7 days Text came Thursday 9th June with "Great news your sofa is now ready for delivery..." so due to work commitments and based on the statements made in the shop I arranged to have the old one removed, assuming worst case we would have 1 week without sofa. Went to arrange delivery to be told sofa would not be in their warehouse until 11th July with delivery after that. Called the call centre to be told yes that's correct, you obviously read the message wrong, seriously it's...
  16. ...I ordered a 2 x sofas and 1 x armchair from Sofology on 30/08/2018 (cost inc delivery, furniture protection) £3783.50 of which £400. 00 deposit was paid by bank cheque card, the balance is due prior to delivery which I intend to pay by credit card. Due to the numerous complaints now noted with this company, as well as other high st furniture retailers, I want to be aware of what my consumer rights are if I encounter any of the complaints already noted eg, sagging sofa, poor quality construction, poor quality leather in terms of wearing excessively. I am sorry for the hypothetical question but I want to be forewarned as to what ste...
  17. ...We are looking for advice prior to emailing Sofology. We purchased a 3 seater, 2 seater and 2 leather chairs which were delivered on Friday 9th March 2018. We paid 1,000 deposit and 4,097.00 both by credit card prior to delivery which was initially 5th March but delayed until 9th March due to the weather. This is now 13th March and although we have only sat on the 2 recliners for a period of 12 hours in total they have puddled where we have been sitting. The arms of the sofas are creased and the delivery man told us that they should come out within a 6 week period. Looking for advice on what we should input before...
  18. ...Hi, I'm brand new here but thought I might get some decent advice. I went into Sofology yesterday evening and picked out a sofa and coffee table with the help of a polite salesperson. The items all have 6 week plus lead times, and as I understand, the sofa actually has to be manufactured first. I was told I had 48 hours to confirm the order after placing it. At the end, right after my credit card payment went through, I was handed a piece of paper and told "cancellations are charged at 30%". Nothing else was explained to me really. At that point I took it to mean that once they start work, i.e. once the order is confirmed, they will...
  19. Had a brand new sofa delivered on 2nd April 2018 and we found a few defects upon delivery which we reported to the driver. The driver reported our concerns to head office who were supposed to phone us regarding this. Later that day I received an email asking for photographs of the defects which we did straight away. Upon taking the photo's we found loads more defects (20+) some of the workmanship is atrocious. So we sent the photo's to customer services who want to come and make repairs. Our problem is that we don't want repairs made to a £2700 sofa especially as there are over 20+ defects. We don't even feel like we want a replacement after looking at the workmanship on this one. Are we within our rights to ask for a full refund? Thanks Kevin
  20. Took delivery of sofa 4 days ago, extreme sagging and excess leather in various places. It's an absolute mess. Phoned customer service who advised to wait 6-8 wks settlement period! Er no....... Went in store and salesman has raised complaint so should hear in next 48 hrs. My question is.... should I reject it and demand a replacement already? Not prepared for a repair on a 4 day old sofa. Have plenty photos to prove it's a genuine complaint. Thanks in advance for any advice.

  23. ... After an unacceptable repair attempt to the snagging, to their credit after an 8 - 10 week wait Sofology replaced the right hand side panel of the 2 seater. With the prior visit the engineer also repaired the scuffs and stitching on both couches.. Not bad service I thought overall, but it should never of happend.. Poor handling of goods led to the issue. However 9 months in... and around the seams of the seat cushions on the 3 seater couch the top layer of the Leather is now peeling away. Not wear and tear and cannot be the case for a couch that is only 9 months old. After failing to respond to my emails regarding this issue I...
  24. ...ded that to aid recovery they needed a new sofa. When more mobile they visited the Warrington sofology store and tried out a sofa that was perfect for my mother's small frame and enabled her feet to touch the floor. They decided to order it as a recliner and in a red leather that they thought would be as soft as the one they sat in, in store. The very next day after delivery, my mother phoned the store and said she wasn't happy with the sofas as they were not as soft to sit in as the in store sofa and they were bigger than the in store sofa as her feet didn't reach the floor. She was advised that they recommend customers to ...
