  1. Hi, I have been receiving letters from Cabot regarding an old Mint credit card debt which I defaulted on in 2010, I made payments on this to Oct 2013 through a DMP with CCCS/Stepchange but unfortunately was made redundant and was unable to continue with my DMP. I am not sure at what stage Cabot got involved but I have not had any contact with the directly, their letters have included various discount options for payment. Today I received a letter from them saying as they have been unable to contact me they are instructing ResolveCall to visit to put me back in contact with them and I am worried about this person calling. Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.
  2. I have a old credit card debt was with goldfish from August 2000 for 7k, Cabot brought this assigned to them November 2008, I did try doing the honest thing an made some monthly payments the balance is now 6607, they tried applying pressure to put the payments up which then got returned unpaid from my bank since I've avoided them, about 3 1/2 years, I received a letter from Resolvecall asking for my information an just had a card put throu the letterbox hand delivered requesting I urgently contact them. I don't have the funds to pay them, I live in rented accommodation, I'm actually behind n a payment plan with hmrc, the pressure is building up an I'd really like to put this debt behind me. Please can anyone explain the correct procedure I should take. Many thanks David
  3. A few weeks ago a bloke knocked holy hell out of my front door. Wondering what the matter was I went and answered. He started ranting on about something, I only caught part of it. Then I saw his jacket, the word Scotcall caught my eye and I saw red. I told him to go away and shut the door. I am registered disabled with COPD, a condition made worse when exposed to cold air, so there was no way I was going to stand at the door arguing the toss with him. It was a very cold day. I have clear 'no cold caller' signs on the door, including one issued by the Police which reads "No appointment? Don't bother knocking'. He banged on the door again, I just ignored him. after a while he went to his car then came back a few minutes later and shoved an envelope through the door. Knowing that it was nothing to do with me I put it straight into the recycling box, unopened. As we are a no cold calling area, and the signs on the door are quite are clear, I notified the local police neighbourhood team and trading standards. A couple of weeks later and he was back, banging on the door again. I was ready for him,. I had prepared a nice little note and had the copy by the door. I thrust it at him and told him clearly to off. He shoved the note back through the door. Ignorance like that annoys me so I opened the door again, told him to get off the premises or the Police would be called. He started to argue and said he was at liberty to call as often as he liked, I corrected him and shouted quite loudly at him, mainly to alert my neighbours of a potential problem. He backed away on to the street and carried on trying to tell me he had the right - I stopped him, pointed out that he had no rights at all, He knew that I was not the person he wanted to see so he was clearly wasting my time. I said that I was not a messaging service and that I would not discuss another person's financial matters even if they lived there. After he had left I was quite shaken and was in a bit of a state, to put it mildly. My inhalers were not bringing my breathing back to normal and my chest was tight. I suffered a lot of pain through the rest of the day and eventually got a taxi to A&E. They prodded and poked about and gave me pain relief. I had an EGC and x-ray, was sent up to a ward and left to rest a while. A doctor saw me at about 6am, I got no sleep at all that night. The main doctor saw me about 10am and by then the pain had gone, possibly due to the drip and being put on morphine. I was discharged and sent home at lunchtime. Thanks to the unwelcome caller I was unable to do very much for several days. I don't work, I'm not able to, but simple things like making a sandwich or a drink were difficult. I was still very uptight about his visit. I contacted trading standards again. They sent a complaint to Scotcall, I know it's all the same company. I've since had a letter to acknowledge the complaint and I've sent the person who wrote that an email with my side of the story, so there is no doubt about who called and what happened. I managed to get the car registration number last time, so was able to pass that on to TS and the Police. The letter mentions someone who may or may not live here who I am not responsible for. Regardless of if they were here or not, it was me he saw, me he hassled and me he put in hospital through causing me to be so stressed. This has been mentioned to Scotcall. I await their reply. I've repeated that i am not a messaging service and have no reason to speak to their agent at all. I consider his actions to be harassment. He's not been back since. If he does I will be calling 999 straight away as he will be causing a breach of the peace just by being there. He's been told, very clearly, to stay away. Had I been any fitter I would have happily marched him back to his car and shoved him in it. I will not stand for little Hitler's like him barking orders at me as he tried to. I know what Scotcall are about and they now know what little regard I have for them and their agent. I do not bow to threats and intimidation. I'll let you know if I hear any more. If anyone else gets a call from and agent Scotcall or Resolvecall, shut the door on them. If they hang around, call the Police.

  5. Im hoping some kind soul can offer some help or advice. By way of background. I am helping my brother with his debts. He has severe mental health problems and has only recently been discharged from a mental health unit. In short he's quite poorly. Im on top of most of it so far. He telephoned me on Friday night extremely distressed that an 'enforcement officer' from united utilities had visited him in the evening over a £2000+ water bills debt. this is a debt that I was unaware of. He said this man had told him that UU were going to take him to the Magistrates court to pursue the debt and that he needed to arrange a payment plan to avoid this. He basically bullied my brother into agreeing to a £7.50 a week direct debit. My 17 year old neice was home at the time and she's confirmed that the rather imposing man did indeed say he was from UU and that he was an enforcement officer. Ive been to visit my bro this morning and he has had a letter fro resolvecall confirming the DD. Now, I know who resolvecall are and what they're capable of. But what Im trying to find out is if the man who called at my bro's house was just a ****** doorstep agent who spun my bro a yarn, or if UU do operate in this way to recover debts. Ive telephoned UU but they won't deal with me because it's my bros account.....so letter on the way giving permission for me deal with his account on his behalf. Id appreciate any advice or comments in this. If this is, as I suspect dirty tricks by resolvecall then Im not going to let this go. It's clear for anyone to see that my brother doesn't have the mental capacity to deal with things like this, and I find it very upsetting that this company may have taken advantage if that. Ive rang TS and they were no help at all. They told me to go back to UU. Sorry it's so long
  6. Hi All, I was in the shower this morning when I missed a visit from a DCA called "Resolvecall". They had written to me a few weeks ago threatening a doorstep visit but I didn't think they actually would. You can imagine my surprise when I saw a brown envelope on the doormat this morning with my name handwritten on it. Postcard inside they "called today for the 1st time regarding your account" with a ref number and number to call (an 0844 one ). I'm currently living with my parents (due to job loss) so obviously this is causing me more stress and worry as I don't want them having to deal with these people. I'm not denying that I owe the debt (it was originally a Northern Rock loan taken out 7 years ago) but like I said I don't want to deal with these people in person or keep having them turn up on my parent's doorstep when the debt is nothing to do with them. I'd be grateful of any advice you could give me. Thankyou.
  7. Hi everyone, Fantastic forum with lots of great advice. I have been researching things relevant to my situation but I think the best thing would be to post my queries and hope that some of you can help me clear things up. I am beside myself with worry, and I'm constantly feeling down and really don't see how I can get a proper life back. I fell into arrears with a vanquis credit card when I fell into money troubles through my business not doing very well for a few months. I did contact vanquis to explain my situation and request that they froze any charges / interest etc... .those requests were ignored and the letters demanding payment continued along with the constant phone calls.. .the phone calls really get to me, so much so I have now taken to leaving my phone on silent. I am in no way trying to escape my debt, I just wanted them to understand my situation and agree to some "fair" repayment plan. I received a notice of default from vanquis dated 16/7/13, then a confirmed resident letter from impact a few weeks later, and in the last couple of days a letter from resolvecall stating they are acting on behalf of vanquis and they have been instructed to collect any outstanding balance... .the letter also states that if I fail to contact vanquis within 3 days then a doorstep visit will be made. I am unsure if I have jumped the gun slightly but I decided to send each of these companies a CCA request letter which also included a section regarding doorstep visits and how I wasn't granting permission. I received a response from resolvecall with them stating that they were confirming my CCA request along with the £1.00 postal order I sent. ..but if I wanted a copy of the agreement then I should contact vanquis directly, and in the meantime they will continue with their actions as per vanquis's instructions. The p.o was returned also. Where do I go from here, I feel like they have dismissed my CCA request. I'm not very good at dealing with people at the best of times due to lack of confidence in subjects I in all honesty don't know much about, but I am feeling totally intimidated and scared of what the future holds. I would really appreciate any advice anyone can offer....letters to send, dates and timelines etc. Thanks.
  8. Hi Everyone Hopefully someone can help with this. Last week I had a card pushed through the letter box from Scotcall saying it was a first visit and that I had to call a number etc. No more info on the card stating what it was about. I called the number to find out what it was about and was asked a heap of personal/security questions. The call went round in circles as I would not confirm my details so they could not tell me anything. I told them to put the matter in a letter so I could consider it. I heard nothing via letter. Anyway since then Mr Scotcall has visited my house no less than 4 times. Twice when I was not in so I just ignored that as no point calling them for the same nonsense. When he actually caught me at home the first time in he asked me to confirm who I was and I would not. He then gave me a sermon about his role for Scotcall and how he was to put us in contact with each other etc. I said tell them to put whatever their issue is in writing and I will not have any discussion with you. I politely closed the door and told him to leave. He stood there for a good five mins and then eventually left. He has now just been back again and I repeated what i said the first time that i will not talk to him and i want it in writing. He has a fleece type jacket on with scotcall on it and a badge with scotcall so basically the world and his wife walking past will assume I owe money and think they know my business. Anyway he stands there again after I politely say 'jog on' and after a while sticks another card through which says 'resolve call' on it and that he will call again. Twice now I have told him not to call again and i am sick of the humiliation of it...after 4 visits you would think he would give up. I believe this may be part of a debt I disputed some time ago and it is not a huge amount of money either - around 700-800 quid. I asked some questions in a letter to the original company re evidence of this supposed debt and heard nothing back so left it but I guess the debt has been passed on to these scotcall/resolve call people now. I really am reluctant to engage in any discussion with these people now, debt is probs around 5 years old anyway. I just want to stop this man turning up at my house all the time - can anyone give me a clue as to how I do this?
  9. Hi, could someone help me with the next letter to send, i had a visit from resolvecall last week, my partner answered the door and confirmed i lived here!! he was caught off guard! anyway i sent the doorstop letter and got this back today, the creditor is arrow global, resolvecall came to do the doorstop, but return letter is from scotcall, assume they same company?? i think the debt is from a catalogue from a couple of years ago, cant remember last time i paid but at least 12 months ago, and money has been very tight since. this is letter i had today ::Resolvecall informs me that as part of the credit agreement I signed and entered into, I agreed to pay the full outstanding balance and that where necessary the creditor could recover the debt by outsourcing the debt to a third party which included by way of doorstep collection. The second paragraph of their letter reads "Therefore the licence you state that has been revoked is irrelevant which for the avoidance of doubt we do not agree to, is not binding on us as it does not fulfill the relevant principles of contract law" I have no idea what this means or to what is refers. They end with stating that they are entitled by law and under contract to recover monies outstanding and can take reasonable steps in accordance with regulatory guidance, which I assume means they can send someone round?? what do i do next please? any help most welcome, if anyone can draft a reply to help please
  10. I was in arrears with my Firstplus Secured loan and due them around £1332, this was due to being off my work for some 9 months. I received an arrears letter from FP threatening doorstep visit, I responded with standard DCA rejection letter, anyway totally ignored and had a visit from an overweight person along with an Asian girl from the said Scotcall, told them I had refused the visit and asked them to go away. After they sat in their 4x4 for some time, obviously phoning up to find out what to do, they disappeared into the horizon, the letter from Resolvecall arriving after the visit, I then e-mailed them with the standard bog-off letter and they responded by telling me account returned to FP. I had the FOS involved at an early stage over this debt due to telephone harassment 700+ phonecalls, despite sending letter and keeping them up to date with my circumstances, and FOS carried out their enquiry?????? Result:- Not considered as telephone harassment, no maladministration despite some other customer's payment going on my account, and DCA Resolvecall not listed in their approved list of DCA's this was even after quoting their licence number. As you can see FOS have once again ducked out, anyone know who Resolvecall are regulated by? By the way all arrears are now paid as was promised some 6 months ago, no doubt Resolvecall will be patting themselves on the back re their success.
  11. Hi - looking for some advice, please. Last year, my partner was involved in an accident. As a result, he is now disabled and unable to work and I am his carer. We are now struggling with some of our bills, although Scottish Power is the only one we are behind with. A couple of weeks ago I was telephoned by Resolvecall, and actually the agent was very nice! As soon as I told her my circumstances she suggested I contact the Jobcente regarding Fuel Direct, and left it at that. I phoned as suggested, but they were a little hazy, and thought there may be a problem as the disability is in my partner's name and the utility bill is in mine. I meant to call the Jobcentre back later, but I forgot (my fault, I know). Last Monday, Resolvecall rang again. I explained what had happened, said I'd get back onto the Jobcentre, and left it at that. Today, while I was shopping, a guy knocked at the door & told my partner he'd come to read the meter. He came in, looked at the meter, asked where I was and then slapped a Notice of Intent to Apply for Warrant of Entry on the cooker hob! According to my partner, the guy was extremely rude, although I haven't got all the ins-and-outs yet - he's on morphine and gets very confused and disorientated. I rang Resolvecall when I got in to find out why their doorstepper had called when everything was in hand. I was told it was just procedure and the account had already been passed back to SP. I need to know the following, please:- Should the doorstepper have identified himself as a debt-collector, rather than implying he was a meter-reader? Should he have called, bearing in mind that Resolvecall are aware that there is a vunerable adult in the house? Has he broken the DPA by revealing the debt (including the amount) to a third party, ie my partner, who is not, nor ever has been on any of the utility bills, nor have I ever given him permission to speak/act on my behalf? Looking forward to your views! Janie
  12. I received a tatty envelope containing a poorly printed card from a company called resolvecall requesting that I call regarding my account. I have no idea who this company is and I am unsure as to what to do with it, do I ignore it or do I respond? I need some advice on what to do.
  13. Hi Really new to this site, i have an urgent query. resolvecall attended our home today, nobody was home. THey have entered the house put gas/electric meters in (due to an unpaid disputed bill)and changed the locks. There is no one at the property and i have no way of getting in the house with my 3 children.... Is this ok? is this legal? help!!!!!!
  14. Please could someone offer some advice urgently? Two weeks ago I came home to find a card from Resolvecall saying they had visited my home while I was out and asking me to contact them. I immediately sent the letter from on here about doorstep visits by recorded delivery, and it was signed for the next day. I have now had the following response from Resolvecall, dated 28th November and received yesterday 3rd December: Dear xxxx I write in response to your recent correspondence. The case you have referred to is not applicable in your circumstances. As part of the credit agreement that you signed and entered into, you agreed to repay the full outstanding balance and that where necessary, the creditor could recover the debt by outsourcing the debt to a third party, which included by way of doorstep collection. Therefore the licence you state that has been revoked is irrelevant, which for the avoidance of doubt we do not agree to, is not binding on us as it does not fulfill the principles of contract law. We are entitled by law and under contract to recover monies outstanding and we are allowed to take reasonable steps in accordance with regulatory guidance to recover such monies. Yours sincerely XXXX, Special Services Administration Manager The creditor is apparently SLC for a student loan from 1996. I am now terrified that Resolvecall will keep on trying to come round. I know they have no powers and if they were to come when I answered the door I'd happily tell them to 'go away' and slam the door, but I'm rarely in during the day and the people I live with are not aware I am in debt and would naturally start asking questions if they answered the door to someone asking for me who is, to all intents and purposes pretending to be a bailiff. Any ideas of what I do next, please??
  15. hi guys, Just went up to my mum's to collect some post and found two letters. One from a company called Mercers dated the 14th February demanding that I pay them a sum of money to cover apparent outstanding payments on my Barclaycard account. Now, I've had issues paying my balance, and they've been reducing my credit as I've been paying, but I have been paying. I can't see anything on my account on their website to suggest I'm in more arrears than I should be. I also received a letter from a company called Resolvecall with a different amount in arrears. I don't know what to do about this as I'm not aware that I'm needing to pay anyone other than Barclaycard any money. As far as I'm aware I'm up to date on my minimum payments. Can someone give me some advice on what I should do here? Thanks Guy
  16. Hi all, first post here. To cut a long story short, I had a loan from a large UK bank for £20k in 2005, I paid off £5k and was then made redundant. I informed the bank that I could only pay a token amount each month and their response was to add £10k of "reasonable charges" to the debt and sell it on to another company. I then found a job and took out an IVA which I paid for 2 years but was made redundant once more and couldn't keep up the payments on it. I defaulted on the original loan 7 years ago, but stopped paying on the IVA 4 years ago. I have not responded to any correspondence during this time, believing the additional £10k to be unreasonable. Today I received a brown envelope through my door saying I had to call Resolvecall urgently. Any advice on what to do next?
  17. Hi there Like a lot of people I have found myself getting deeper into debt for a variety of reasons. At times I was 'robbing Peter to pay Paul', but unfortunately sometimes 'peter' was not there! I have numerous creditors, mainly credit cards and a couple of smaller accounts with companies such as mail order etc. About 6 -7 months ago I took the 'bull by the horns' and took a long hard look at exactly where I stand and decided enough was enough. For once, I organised all my debts, total owed, dates due by, min payment required and put them all onto a spread sheet - one for me and one for my partner. I wrote to all of them explaining my own circumstances as to why things have gone the way it has and was hoping for some sort of regular reduced payment plan etc. I basically fell behind payments with a few of them or failed to pay the minuim required. (If it helps I had a very bad car crash that left me off work for several months that resulted in losing pay by some £400 - 600 each month, which is a lot for me and was enough for things to escalate). I am now in some sort of serious advice about a few issues with some of the creditors but as this thread relates to EGG I will just post about them, although I have some other problems I would like advice about but will create a new thread whenever). So... I have an EGG credit card that I have missed about two payments and paid slightly less than the minuim payment, but have always paid something. Prior to being taken over by Barclays I wrote twice to EGG but never replied anything. On 17th June I recieved one letter - Eleven days later I recieved another from Capital Credit Agencies (part of EGG I think - its on their headed paper) I immediately wrote to them that day asking for a payment plan etc due to my circs and also expalined that I prefer to keep things in writing rather than telephone. One day after the CCA letter I recieved the next letter from Reolvecall with the usual threats So I have EGG, Capital Credit Agencies and now Resolvecall writing to me asking me to call :: NOTE :: all the different telephone numbers! Resolvecall called to my home about 8 days after the date on their letter and luckily I was out and left a card poking out a letter box. One the plain bown envelope simply said [My Name] "Private" So in the space of a few weeks I have had three seperate letters from three seperate people and a home visit. What can I do now? I dont want people coming to my home and I am really worried that they will try to see where I work or contact my employer. I am on the brink of ringing them up and see what happens. letters.pdf
  18. Hi, I'm after some advice for my father-in-law. He has recently had a visit from Resolvecall but he wasnt in at the time so they left a card saying this was their first visit and to call the office before 8pm. It is regarding a credit card debt with Barclays from about 5 yrs ago. Basically he was made redundant and due to ill health couldnt get another job, had to sell their house and are now renting. They struggle to make ends meet as it is so there's no chance of him being able to afford any repayments. He has had letters over the yrs but has ignored them and this is the first time he has had a doorstep visit. After looking on this site I emailed them the letter (from my husbands email address) telling them he did not wish to make a home visit appointment but they have replied saying they will not stop any future visits until my father-in-law gets in touch with them directly. He is scared to death of them coming round again which is why I am dealing with it. What should we do now? Any advice appreciated. Thank you
  19. RE: Outstanding credit card debt with vanquis bank Hi I recieved a letter from resolve call saying that if I did not contact their client Vanquis bank within 3 days they will send someone round to my house to discuss repayment offers. I phoned them up today and said that I have sent a letter to Vanquis bank today as I do not want to negotiate over the phone with them. I also said to them that I do not invite anyone from their company to my home to discuss this and if anyone does come around I will phone the police for trespassing. The women got very annoyed and said that as I have revoked the agreement under the CCA a third party has the right to resume collections as they see fit including door stop visits without invitation and that because I haven't spoken to vanquis over the phone she or they are sending someone round to the house to discuss this with me. she also said I should read the cca. Now I really don't want a doorstep visit I have an elderly father who lives with me and although I can shoo them off this will probably scare him especially if its some meathead they send round. So should I just phone vanquis and give in? Is she right in what she says?
  20. Despite Marlin issuing a stat demand in Jan 09 and me subsequently winning my set aside in march the same year after CCA requesting Marlin who Still haven't complied with my request it would appear they have now enlisted Resolvecall to try and threaten me. RE: YOUR ABOVE OUTSTANDING ACCOUNT We are acting on behalf of Marlin Financial Services who are the collecting agent for your above creditor(none listed above) We have been instructed by them to arrange a personal visit to your home by one of our representatives unless you contact Marlin Financial Services to address your account. This is because you are not making payments to your account and have failed to make contact with Marlin Financial Services despite their requests for you to get in touch. It is in your interests to contact Marlin Financial Services iimmediately upon receipt of this letter to discuss your account as a matter of urgency. Failure to do so will lead to a personal visit being made by one of our representatives to your home to discuss your account and payment proposals. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS LETTER. ACT NOW TO HAVE A POSITIVE DISCUSSION ABOUT YOUR ACCOUNT. WHAT NOW???????????????????
  21. Hi gang, When we moved into this house the meters that were on the house were prepayment meters. We asked scottish power to remove said meters as the house was now ours ,to which the reply was "we cant get them removed for 24 months". After 24 months(about 2 months ago) we rang again to get said meters removed ,they tried to charge us for the removal of the meters but we said that was unfair. After much hassle on the phone they agreed to remove the meters at no charge. Within days of the meters being removed we were sent a gas and electricity bil l(what i think is really for the cost of removal of the meters) of around £130 give or take which funny enough is the same money they were asking for the removal of the meters. Weve tried saying this is a underhanded way of getting the removal fee out of us and refused to pay. We have since had another bill for around £230 pounds , Now i know i owe some money obviously for my Gas and Elec but really cant see how i owe £130 within 7 days of the meters being removed. Tried talking to the callcentre about this but its like banging your head against a brick wall as fa,r as they care we owe them money and thats that. yesterday we had a man from Resolvecall come out to our home state he was FROM Scottish Power and gave use a letter stating they want £389.25 but will accept 50% by friday 24th of June 2010 and the rest by Direct Debit or they will be out again the following Monday. The letter states that if we dont pay up they will obtain a warrant under the right of entry(gas and elec) act 1954 section 2 to enter the premises to cut us off and may be assisted by the POLICE and/or LOCKSMITH. We have 2 children one of them with disabilities and really want this hassle sorted out as soon as possible. i know i owe something but the £130 bill i got within 7 days of removal of the key meters seems a bit suspect, and im not getting any more info from Scottish power other than "thats what you owe us". Any help would be great, sorry for the long post.
  22. Bang on the door when i answer man with clip board asking for Mr Gardner, depends who you are and what you want i said,(he was wearing a tee-shirt with the logo on so that was a bit of a give away), im Stuart xxxx and i need to speak to Mr Gardner regarding a personal matter,do you have id i ask.yes and he holds up a badge from around his neck, can i have it i need to go and check, he gives it to me i close door and come inside and scan it to my pc, grab a copy of the i don't accept personal callers template wait a few minutes go back and open the door with my mobile ready to take a photo, i need to take a photo of you and before he had a chance to react i snapped him, handed him his id and letter and said he don't want to talk to you now go away your on private property, closed door, he puts a little card through the door asking me to call this number. I really didn't give him a chance to say much but of what he did say he was not rude or aggressive in anyway and he took my stance against him well, i was going to post his id and picture on here and all over the internet but the softer side of me says that although he works for a rancid company he's only doing a job and he never acted like a bozo so i shall give him the benefit of the doubt.
  23. Hi can someone tell me where i stand on this please Had letter from Scot call informing me of a doorstep visit so filed this under b for bin. Lo and behold monday some rather large (I mean in the wweight department) man knocked on my door i didnt answer and if my other half isnt around i refuse to answer the door. he stood on my doorstep for ages then went and knocked on my neighbours door fortunately she was out. so then he puts a card through my door contact me etc re :- an outstanding debt got back in his car and promptly sat at the entrance to my drive for at least 15 mins looking towards house to see if i was around (net curtains are fab) once he had gone went and got card had a quick look then filed that in the bin. Today however i wasnt here but hubby was and the prat came again hubby didnt give any information out but was furious that a dca called he kept asking hubby for a contact number saying he would be back having had a read of other threads on here they can't just turn up can they ? should i just ignore them. help would be appreciated
  24. Hi all, I'm in a spot of bother and have been for a while now. Being young and stupid I got a credit card from barclays with 250 limit on it. Over a period of time I messed up with the repayments and life took things to a different level and found myself in debt with 4 other creditors. I have previously paid contributions via payplan but after loosing my job and going self employed ( which seemed like a good idea @ the time ) things with money got worse and so did the letters. I recently moved away and forgot to change my address the person who lives there had 2 people go round the other day making her prove her identity wasn't me, she's 8 month pregnant. They sat outside the house that day waiting for me. Obviously I don't live there and she has said she doesn't know where I am. I'm 7 months pregnant and now really scared that they will come and find me and take the small possessions I have. I want to get ontop of things but with no income other than my partners and no maternity pay due to self employment I'm currently seeking advice to get some income support and maternity allowance though I know this isn't going to be a lot of money. Were struggling. I have a pack from payplan and I have to contact resolvecall as they will go back to previous address as threatened and the person who lives there is not happy. I don't want to give my address to them so when contacting via payplan pre written letters to organise an informal arrangement can I simply put an email address on the letter??? I want to send a 1 pound postal order to them to show willingness but am afraid they won't accept and then with the baby on the way be under a hell of a lot more pressure. So lost and confused.
  25. Hi all, I owe Barclays around £9000 only stopped paying the last 3 months because the apr is 23% and its killing me. Wrote to them to reduce monthly payment because lost my job got a letter saying no speak to CAB. since then I have had 5000 calls and texts, letters etc. now I have had a company called resolve call knock on my home and leave a card and the 2nd time I was in. I said that the person they were looking for didn't live here, he asked for landlord details said Im not giving them out who are you? Never answered. they think I don't live at this address now. Well I think they do he just got off. Do you think I should do anything? Seems like barclays have passed on the debt already? Any advise would be great Thanks all
