  1. Hi, i have recieved six years worth of statements back from nationwide and from HSBC, i do believe i incurred alot of charges before this period though. What would you reccomend to do to get the statements back from this period? Any advice would be helpfull.
  2. Thanks for the info mate, i sent off my prelim letter today without mentioning the interest, it just confused me that the different sites were giving different info. I know the sites are linked, however i think i'll just work from this one in the future.
  3. O.k thanks for the info, i think i'll include her interest on the prelim letter, if this is wrong could someone please let me know. I hope all this works out o.k

  5. Hi, my girlfriend received her statements from HSBC and all the charges total £2116.72, i'm quite confused about adding interest to this though .MoneySavingExpert.com ad-free, free to use, Consumer Revenge! says i should possibly ask for the ‘statutory interest’ when i send my intial letter asking for my charges back, where as on this site people seem to reccommend not to at this stage, could any one please clarify this for me.
  6. Hi, just thought i'd say hello, I stumbled upon this site today and i'm very pleased i did. Today i sent out my initial letter to Nationwide and my girlfriend sent hers out to HSBC to request details. I think the charges these banks impose on us are outrageous and i'd love to get the money back. I personnally incurred most of my charges when i was abroad in the army in places like Iraq and Kosovo where i didn't have access to my account.

I have a couple of questions and apologise if they've been answered else where. 1 ) Can i still claim against a bank if i no longer hold an account there? 2) Does this apply to credit card charges too? Thanks for all this brilliant info.......luke
