  1. Hi Jayne I am exactly at the same stage as you. Abbey have acknowledged my claim today and they have 28 days in which to file a response. Shocked me a little bit, but oh well nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  2. Thanks London Pam. Just waiting for my wages to clear before starting my claim. Thought it might be a little unethical to use my bank of scotland credit card to pay the court charges!
  3. I have sent prelim letter and LBA to the bank of scotland asking for a refund in my charges. Its not much (£125) this is a forerunner to my bank charges refund (£3,000) but a matter of principle at this time. I need to file a claim with moneyclaim online. I have read the details about what to put if you are challenging bank charges but is it okay to just amend the words 'bank' for credit card. Has anyone else got any experience of credit card refunds from the bank of scotland. Cheers!!!!!
  4. I requested my statement online and received a letter saying I would have them in seven days. Still waiting. Have emailed customer service to be told that due to unprecedented demand a delay is possible and will be with me in two to three weeks. I sent off my DPA letter and £10 last week just to be on the safe side. Just wondered if anyone else had requested their statements online, and if so how long did it take to get them?
  5. I emailed customer services through the website this morning, and got a standard response in reply. "Thanks for your e-mail regarding duplicate statements. You will normally receive your duplicate statement within 7 working days, however at the moment we are experiencing a high volume of requests and it is taking 2-3 weeks. If you have requested information that is more than two years old your request may take longer. " As soon as I have enough money I am going to send a recorded letter to the data protection people, at least then I will have 'officially' set the ball rolling, although I do wish I had done this earlier, then I may be nearly at the end of the 40 day period.
  6. I have had this on more than one occasion. It is supposed to be up to date, but what is on the internet and what is available can quite often be different. Even though they show two balances, available and actual, it can still be different. I am finding it quite hard to explain what the problem is but i have telephoned for an available balance to be told one figure, whilst looking at the internet telling me something very different.
  7. Hi Wintermare Can I just ask what you the problem is with the Child Tax Credit people. I ask because I have an issue with them not backdating my child tax credit award due to the incompentence of their website. I put in a complaint in October and have chased it up frequently by telephone and eventually put it in writing again three weeks ago. Don't worry if its private.
  8. Thanks for that, LOL i guessed that was probably the answer anyway! I noticed that you had been emailing customer service. Could you let me have the email address. I thought I might email them anyway - just to see if they are processing my request at all.
  9. Three weeks ago i requested online five years bank statements. I received a reply from them acknowledging my request and saying i should receive the statements within seven days. Since then nothing! Would you recommend that I now write, recorded delivery, the standard letter requesting the information under the DPA, or do you think that I have already done this and should just wait until the 42 days from my email request.
