One of Them replied to maggie's topic in Halifax Bank and Bank of Scotland
Are you a BOS customer? If so, charges on mainframe only go back to 2004 on there and someone has made a mistake. Also, dont send £10, you dont need to -
Man, dont cash it in at a pawnbrokers, £200 is a lot of money

One of Them replied to kingkee's topic in Halifax Bank and Bank of Scotland
If you've already settled the last claim and been charged again, if you claim it back they will give you 30 days and close your accout. -
Its not a ploy fool, its trying to settle the complaint before it gets to court stage. If you dont accept that, its the last i see of a complaint.

Odd series of events! Halifax incompetence!!
One of Them replied to snootycow's topic in Halifax Bank and Bank of Scotland
Just so you know, everytime someone goes to FOS against us there is a £360.00 charge against the bank, per case. And if we're found to be wrong, we get fined too. -

The end of free banking... It'll never happen!
One of Them replied to thegoodsamaritan's topic in A Word from the Banks
I can tell you honestly that it IS a route banks are considering taking. And the fee's recouped from charges would pale in comparison to those made by charging for accounts. And in that way, everyone loses out. -

Markie vs Halifax - Owed £3032, Offered £800
One of Them replied to Markie99's topic in Halifax Bank and Bank of Scotland
Just so you know, they wont offer a part payment, as they will not refund charges, and the stance is this. The payment you get is ex-gratia, as a gesture of goodwill, if you want to recieve a refund for all your charges you'll have to go down the county court route. The OFT ruled against credit card charges, not bank charges, think there will be a proper announcement about this soon. -

One of Them replied to One of Them's topic in Halifax Bank and Bank of Scotland
They're all complaints, they're dealt with the same -
First time i've seen someone i know mentioned Just so you know, the letters we send you are just the same as the letters you send us, and in some cases, the wording isn't very amicable You just have to realise that we're just following the procedure we're told to, if you don't accept the goodwill we can do nothing more than give you FOS rights and let you go that route or raise a CCJ, it's really demoralising sometimes but theres nothing we can do.

It saves you sending it to branches or trinity road, they just get faxed to Nexus in Leeds anyway, cut out the middle man. -
So its not bouncing around internally, send it to Halifax PLC Customer Relations PO Box 548 Leeds LS1 1WU This is the address for our backscanning department, your complaint will be scanned onto CPS (our internal workflow system) and a complaint will be logged on Solve. It You will be aknowledged within 5 days as per the handling procedure, then it'll get moved to be worked. Just so you know there is A LOT of complaints at the moment, and they're worked as an oldest first situation, from what i know there is A LOT of people working A LOT of overtime now and have had to be taken off several other projects such as endowment complaints etc to deal with these.

Hey, yeah i've been shifted off regulated investments to work these cases. I'd be more than happy to help people who are unsure of procedure or what happens when we get your complaint. I did speak to a nice lady today who was happy, which was nice

Challenging information on credit file
One of Them replied to Ferru's topic in A Word from the Banks
Banks will only register something against your credit file if it in delinquancy for many months, and if you provide proof that you've had it registered against your CF they'll remove it. -
It was just saying that i dont have a staff account, i bank with HSBC, have done since i was a student, i think you're well within your rights to attempt to claim them back, i just think people should be a bit more, well, nice about it, we've started ringing people now to try and get quick resolutions to these complaints, however i've been called all manner of things under the sun and insulted to high heaven over the last week, when i'm simply trying to do my job and follow procedure. With regards to your complaints, they're all on the computerised system and they're deal with on a claim by claim basis, we all work really hard to get them dealt with and we dont just sit here on our hands. I just wish i can go back to my old job because i dont think i can deal with being abused for no reason until someone makes some form of ruling or regulates these complaints. Don't say 'i havent had to live and adult life'. I live an adult life. I was just brought up hard from an early age that if you live outside your means, theings get hairy.
