  3. statements requested via phone all 6 years,no prob, kind receptionist, arrived in 6 days from request.£5.00 charge. the halifax suk but a lot of their staff are cool and in the same boat as the rest of us.
  4. so if they take 39.00 pounds from account in seven days they are doing TWO things wrong? , as it stands we may or may not get our charges back, but still have to pay any future charge penalties in seven days, because that is another different issue of grievance with them.so meaning a seperate case to pursue via judgment apart from the excessive charges judgment.? i notice the halifax say that unauthorised overdrafts will not be penalised with a extra £28.00 charge in seven days if the amount is less than £30.00 into the red. so they charge £39.00 in order to make sure they get the extra charge in 7 days on top of the initial £39.00 penalty by taking it over their £30.00 threshold. thats £67.00 in seven days from date of letter bear in mind post, making the warning of intent to hijack my account even less.oopps my wages went in late doh !!!!
  5. "banking code says they have to give a minimum of 14 days notice. another plan of attack for any annoyed halifax punters in here. cheers" james --- In bankchargeshell-- wrote: > > it went to 39.00 along with the demand for taking it in 7 days from youre account at the same time, however,i never recieved correspondence telling me that was what they were doing,it used to be a month or so.very nice of them. > is this true, they cannot demand payment from your account in seven days from letter? for the penalty charge?

  8. i see a lot of discussion is on about the bank charges etc, does the same apply to all other credit agreements,ie store cards, mortgage late payments, loans secured or other,hp agreements, catalogues, and old bank accounts. also is 6 years the max you can file against
  9. how would i calculate the interest owed etc on 6 years of halifax charges that add up to £2,300 for just the charges? as well as any other costs i can claim or try to? i would appreciate some idea from you as to how to calculate it before sending in claim form. thanks. :?
