  1. Wasn't going to draw attention to it but since you asked, I donated a small amount a week or so ago. Very grateful for the support on all of the issues I've raised here.
  2. Oh I know all about those. Hopefully the info in this thread will be useful for anyone in this position in future too though.
  3. Josh Kirby at gsmfb@hi-birminghambromsgrove.co.uk has just emailed me a fullscreen screenshot of his browser, tabs, windows applications etc., but central to it all was this: So you can mark this as sorted. I said some nice things about ParkingEye to the Ceo, so I'll wait for his reply before I tell him it's been sorted. Cancelled.pdf
  4. Ah they have confirmed they're looking into it, after I sent them a faux-stressed email about it.
  5. I kind of just want to make work for them really. So you're saying no harm in doing so (as long as the driver isn't given away) but also not much point?
  6. The 14days reduced fee thingy expires on 13th. Worth me plopping an appeal into them provided I don't give any info away? I've used it as an excuse to chase the hotel up anyway, but thought I'd check on the above.
  7. Cheers dx, I have no plans on moving for several years and if/when I do I'll ensure to let the idiots know.
  8. Having seen the success a SAR (and associated LoC when they screw up) can have, and in the assumption that 6 years from the pcn (Jan 23) is the end of all this, should I put a cheeky SAR into TPS at some point? Or should I keep that in my back pocket?
  9. Can confirm I have three separate debt collection agencies after me for these and my credit rating is as immaculate as ever. There's no need to stress at all, but if you get a letter of claim (or similar wording) post here for advice. From what I've learnt from the experienced people here: the threat of court is 99.999% of the time just that. They don't want to risk the cost of court for a small financial win. And if they do eventually make you go through with it, there's a decent chance you'll win as the company will have screwed something up at some point.
  10. It can't have been, neither can the signage, as we weren't aware of it whatsoever.blockquote widget
  11. No, I've had no response to my email, but I've also received no follow up from the fleecers, so maybe they've cancelled and not told me. I'll follow up on the receipt of the next letter. Scratch that, I've sent another mail laying it on thick about the cost of living.
  12. Probably not a particularly interesting one, as I expect Holiday Inn will sort this out for me, but sharing nonetheless. 1 Date of the infringement 24/09/2022 2 Date on the NTK [this must have been received within 14 days from the 'offence' date] 29/09/2022 3 Date received 03/10/2022 4 Does the NTK mention schedule 4 of The Protections of Freedoms Act 2012? [Y/N?] Yes 5 Is there any photographic evidence of the event? Yes 6 Have you appealed? [Y/N?] post up your appeal] No, but I have email Holiday Inn, see below Have you had a response? [Y/N?] post it up Not yet 7 Who is the parking company? Parkingeye 8. Where exactly [carpark name and town] Holiday Inn "Birmingham" - Bromsgrove For either option, does it say which appeals body they operate under. BPA POPLA Good Morning, I have this morning been issued with a Parking Charge Notice for my car being in your car park whilst I stayed with you on 23rd September. Nothing was mentioned to me at check-in about the car park having any costs associated with it, your website (snipped below) states that the car park is free of charge, and I was a paying guest at your hotel, so do not see why I should have to pay "Parkingeye" any charges for my car being there. I'd like to request that you reach out to Parkingeye and ensure that this charge is cancelled immediately. My registration is BLAHBLAH and they've included a ref of 123456. You may also need to speak to your reception staff to ensure this is mentioned to all guests going forwards, otherwise some might be taken in by this bullying tactic by Parkingeye. I look forward to your response, PCN / NTK attached. parkingeyebromsgrovehi.pdf
  13. I'm a newbie to all of this. But have they confirmed they were the driver? Only that they entered the car park, and they made the payment? Or is that the sticking point? Sorry, just keen to learn.
  14. Thank you. Is it your expectation that this will just continue in a cyclical nature ad infinitum?
  15. I have a reply to my latest snotty letter. Ignore I assume? I've also had the below response to more pressure on the planning people: They don't seem to want to help. response to sl 20-09-22.pdf
  16. May have just re-worded that from someone else's kind offer of a SL the first time round...
  17. Have had a new Letter Of Claim (attached). I've also put together my own snotty letter below (any comments positive or negative would be appreciated so I know I'm doing the right thing). 2022_09_06 16_18 Office Lens.pdf
  18. Does it have to specifically say those words? If so I'll stop posting letters until that point. Will keep copies though.
  19. No reply to the tesco letter yet but have received this. Horizon Stourbridge.pdf
  20. Decent point, but yeah my wife spoke to them. The show was in the Crown Centre which also houses Tesco. The Tesco carpark is actually for the whole Crown Centre, including the Town Hall. It's not strictly a "customer car park" but Tesco run it.
  21. I am the keeper. It's ok to admit that I assumed? They know that from the DVLA.
  22. In another thread, and in person about Tesco Stourbridge and the Town Hall, I've heard of others who have had similar charges waived due to being legitimate customers. I've drafted the below to be sent to tesco's manager, but will only do so with your blessing as you all know this far more than me. Have been intentionally vague with details, and everything mentioned is provable correct. Would this hurt? To the Manager, RE: Parking Charge Notice, Vehicle Reg XXXXXX I'm in receipt of a parking charge notice from a company called Horizon Parking for the date of 25th February for my car XXXXXX for overstaying in your car park. On this date we did some shopping in your store, and attended a show at the Town Hall. The show started late, and it took some time for us to leave the car park due to long queues to the exit, which I assume is the reason they believe we parked for longer than we did. The show was not cheap, and neither was my shopping, so the driver and I would rather not make it even more expensive by having to pay a charge for parking when the overstay was not our fault. As both of us are loyal Tesco customers, shopping in your store regularly, I’d hope that you could contact Horizon Parking and ask them to drop this?
