  1. Sunday: Still laughing about putting compensation on N1 lol I wonder if they will settle out of court or if the fancy challengin me? If they do i reckon a few of you turn up at court to watch and support me, maybe cheer when we win lol
  2. The interest part of the claim is when you got o court. Do not ask for it before hand as it will lok as tho you dont know what your doing and may put your claim in jeopardy
  3. Your very welcome, post a thread under the relevant banks forum where you will find lots of advice and ideas. plus you will be helping other noobies in your situation!! Good luck
  4. In that case i would split the claim into the 3 accounts. I would send prelim letter for each account seperately. When you receive the bogoff letter from then you can then go ahead and send the LBA letter for each account, however this is your money so if you chose to accept the offer then that is up to you. good luck
  5. There is a limit in the courts of 750. However if your bank owes you in excessive of that then divide the claims up into individuals. Im certain this is allowed as lonmg as you dont sign to say u accept an offer in full and final settlement
  6. Hi and welcome As a side from the bank charges, make sure you are claiming the right amount of money to live on. I can be of help with this if you want. Halifax forum prob not right place, however if you want to PM me either in here or AOL then feel free. There si nothing worse than worrying about money, but if we can help then it makes it easier
  7. Welcome and well done for your work up to know. If you scan thru the posts you willnotice a lot of ppl already pledge 5% or donate what theyc an to keep the site up and running, any other ideas for raising funds are welcome Good luck with your claims
  8. HI and welcome Well done for starting the process, althoug what anyopnwe is doing here on a sat night is beyond me lol Post a thread in the RBS forum, its amazing the amount of advice you will get there from others in the same predicament Good luck
  9. Hi Sandy First of all make sure your claims are individual if the exceed 750 (limit in Scotland small claims) re the offer, it really is up to you, if it was me i would decline and send LBA giving them 14 days to refund the full amount or you will begin court action. It can get confusing if there is more than 1 claim so do this seperately (i know its tempting to do all 3 so you get a nice lump sum, however its easier to follow as individuals)
  10. Nice thought....although if we just tell all ppl we know about the system even those without t'internet can claim back whats rightfully theres! Welcome and good luck btw
  11. Thnx Vamp, dont worry you wil hear me lol xx
  12. OK here is the process i followed DPA giving them 40 days to respond with statements Letter asking for repayment along with charges spreadsheet 14 days to respond Ususally letter telling you to bog off within 14 days Letter Before Action (LBA) sent giving 14 notice before you begin court proceedings no response then claim via local county court or online
  13. It can take anything from 3 weeks to 4 months. However it is your money and when you consider it took the bank 6 yrs to take off you why not take your time in getting it back knowing you have recieved every single penny? Have a good read of the FAQs, read the threads in Halifax and Barclays forums and you will get a better picture of what you have to do. Good luck
  14. Thanks Vamp. I wont send you the link now lol
  15. what did u do first, it would help me if you put the process you followed down in datal order and i may be able to help
  16. Well heres the story so far! Watched daytime tv and saw section on caliming money back. Had nothing doing that day so thought wat the hell lets do that! 20/06/06 Sent Data Protection Act Recieved statyements couple days later 01/07/06 Sent letter asking for repayment 1338.00 11/07/06 "generous" offer of 183.00 11/07/06 sent no way letter plus LBA 28/07/06 14 days up, had call from Customer Services. Told them i would only speak to James Crosby (CEO) or legal team on the matter (needless to say i was not put through to them) 03/08/06 Emailed James Crosby asking for his thoughts on the wating of money by his staff 05/08/06 Still no reply from CEO (not surprised really lol) 07/08/06 Filing N1 at court. 1338.00 plus interest plus compensation for undue stress.....well if its worth trying its worth trying well lol 07/08/09 Filed claim with CC. What a lovely woman who was there to help, she even asked my advice on claiming (very quietly i have to add) Used N1 as was struggling with MC. Glad i did cos i gained an awful lopt of info re charges and how some ppl are eligble for help when processing a claim. 08/08/09 Just reading new thread "have you been paid out today" and got really excited about some of them who had been ak 2 days after filing then payed out few days later.....prob cos i put in for compensation i will be the one who goes to court lol
  17. Hi and welcome Nice to see you have read up on what your doing and are ready to claim bak whats rightfully yours. Post a thread under halifax and keep us posted Good luck
  18. Hi and welcome Check out the FAQs b4 u dtart anything. We wil of course be ahppy to answer any queries you have, however its your bank, your account and your money, so it really is up to you to get it back. Post a thread under the HBOS and you will be able to keep all up to date with your claim, read others experiences and be able to ask questions. Good luck
  19. HI Mitch and welcome There is no quick fix for this ( i assume u have called the bank in question and asked for them to levy the charges?) Best thing to do is read the FAQs (link below) and then follow the process shown. There is a letter in there for business' to use like in this case. Feel free to ask questions but as its your money, your bank it really is up to you. I will answer as many queries as i can so feel free to ask
  20. Hi leanneil Best thing for you is to read the FAQs and spend a few days getting your head around the process to follow. Its a costly mistake if you make one! Next post a msg in the section for the bank (or who ever it is) your asking for you money back from, you will get lots of info from there and you will also read other peoples experiences which will help so much. Good luck and well done for making the first step
  21. Hi and welcome First of all read the FAQs (see link at bottom) and spend a few days getting to understand them, we dont want you making a mistake. Then post a thread under the relevant bank in question and spend time reading others so you learn what others have gone thru already. You can post threads in there asking questions based on the bank. Have u got the amount you need to claim back? If so you need to look in the library for the letters templates and send the next one in the process Good luck
  22. hmmm not so sure bout pointless, there is something warmly about knowing the person is happy with what you have said, and also useful if they found it a load of b**** too lol
  23. Hmmmmm not as far as im aware, otherwise we sould not have had some many winning cases! However the report is available to read so have a good look through Good luck
  24. Ok click on the quote if you want to add something on from the msg you are replying to (i have as you can see) this is useful if you want to answer something specifically. Click on the scale if you think im usefull, or dont if i havent lol Any questions you have about the process ask in the relevant thread for your bank, any general ones in here Hope that helps;-)
  25. Hello and welcome Your right it is shoddya nd its our time now so take your time, read all the info u can digest and more then get to work!!! Good luck
