  1. Hi Kelly, if you go to the FAQ section there is a step by step guide, also have a good read of other peoples threads and you will get a really good idea of what will happen each step of your claim. Good luck and keep us posted!
  2. I love the "It's my money! My husband earned it fair and square!! You are a girl after my own heart! :D Good luck with your claim and keep us posted!!
  3. I would reply to the request to pay you overdraft back stating that the amount is in dispute, I *think* they are then obliged to hold off on any action they take against you. Have a search round (I will too) I'm sure there are other threads on this subject.
  4. Oooh Good point!! As a Liverpool fan that is always a pleasure :D
  5. I *think* Dave means they will challenge the OFT ruling not challenge the claims ..... please feel free to slap/correct me if I'm wrong Dave!
  6. Hi there, I wouldn't worry too much, they have stated several times that they intend to defend in full and never have, I would imagine within the next 28 days (I think) you will receive your refund! Good Luck!
  7. IF they have received it they will probably just ignore it anyway..... they have ignored mine, and I know for sure they have it!! Will be going to moneyclaim in the next couple of days (soon as I get my head round this interest thing )
  8. To change the title of the thread you can pm Bookworm, include a link to the thread and ask very nicely!!
  9. I wouldn't worry too much about it not showing up on Royal Mail as being delivered, if they have delivered a batch of mail it is unlikely they will have got a signature, you can prove you sent it. I would file with money claim now! Good Luck!
  10. Hi there and welcome!! With regard to the manual intervention... this is the banks defence of the charges, they say someone has to intervene for every failed transaction and that is what the charge is for..... but I and others have it in writing from the Halifax that all charges are automated, so if you have confirmation that your charges are automated it will look very good for you IF it gets to court and they try and use that argument.
  11. Have you seen the appeal for volunteers for the Tonight with Trevor McDonald show? http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/announcement.php?f=9&a=21
  12. Hi Tony Yes you can add the £28 to your claim, there is a spreadsheet in the Library section that helps you work out the interest for when you file at court. With regard to them closing your account it has happened to a few people from what I can gather reading round the forum, but you are in a pretty good position by not having an overdraft with them, just open an account elsewhere, if your credit status is a problem (sorry if it's not you think I'm being presumptious!) try a Natwest Step account. Good luck.
  13. Just remember you have nothing to lose just by requesting your information, just take it one step at a time, when I sent my prelim letter requesting a refund I felt ill for days, I just kept thinking "what on earth have I done"! Then I received an offer (pathethic offer) and I felt fine then!
  14. You can always call in a couple of days to confirm they have received it, and just use recorded in future. Good luck with your claims, let us know how you get on!
  15. Hi Maggie I completely understand how you feel, but why don't you send the DPA request and find out how much they have taken from you in charges, you never know they may owe you more than you owe them. You would not be commiting to anything at this stage just gathering information. Good luck!
  16. Where about are you? Have you found anyone yet?
  17. I really feel for him having to deal with Blair, Oliver Scott, they are some of the worst people I have ever spoken to, BT's "choose to refuse" is a wonderful thing though, not heard a peep from them in weeks. Tell him to watch out though if he makes an arragement with them, they will still help themselves to his bank account whenever they want, regardless of him sticking to the aggreement. I would suggest he gets another account elsewhere pretty quick and have his money paid in there.
  18. You could write back saying that amount is not acceptable as full and final settlement but you will accept it as an interim payment, give them a further 7 days to pay up in full and then file ...... or ..........you could just file now! Depends how generous you are feeling at the moment. Good luck!
  19. I know what you mean about the Electron card! Although it is getting more widely accepted, when I first got mine absolutely nowhere took it! The Natwest Step account gives you a Solo... only slightly better than the Electron!
  20. Hi There is no template you just need to adapt the lba, I put on mine "your offer is not acceptable as full and final settlement but I will however accept it as an interim payment." Hope that helps
  21. Why don't you put a huge poster in your window advertising this site? :D
