  1. Hi, My contract with TalkTalk ends in Feb 2015. Ive been advised that I can cancel before that it ends bygiving 30 days notice, and would cost me £46 but they told me I can NOT cancel in writing or email. It has to be by phone? Surely this CANT be right? Please help.
  2. Hi, Not sure if this has been asked before but i applied for a Sim Only 1 month rolling sim as my contract phone had ended. Is there usually any credit check for sim only plans as theres no searches on the CRA's to say Tesco carried out a check. Anyone know?
  3. Does anyone know how long searches are showing for, as i know with experian the searches drop off when theyre a year old. Ive only 4/5 credit searches from aug 2012 till July 2013 but on callcredit ( noddle ) they havent dropped off. I still have yet to get my £2 report from Equifax.
  4. Hi, My husband got his ILR and was wondering if any of you have, or know of someone who has, applied for naturalisation staright after ILR and been successful?? We wanna try it but if its refused ( and 906 is a lot to pay) then only we will get £80 back :/
  5. Thanks for the response, CitizenKain. I just added 2 months more payslips to what she put together and a couple of p60's. Everything went fine and ,y husband got his I.L.R
  6. My husband and I not long got back from the settlement checking service as we are due to apply for ILR in person, very soon. Shes sorted it out for us, BUT shes only put ONE each of our most recent payslips in, and im majorly concerned that it wont be enough. The lady claimed that shes does everybodys case in the same way and has never had any problems. but surely one each is nowhere near enough. Help!
  7. uk border agency. and i have what i need, just only need last 2/3 weeks worth
  8. So should i print a statement off internet banking then get them to sign it, or just get a ' list of transactions' as they say, for the last 2 weeks and make them sign it...which would be better>
  9. Brig its Halifax. And i wasnt sure if you could do it that way, get halifax to stamp and sign it, to submit it to the UKBA. i was always led to believe they have to be proper official statements.
  10. Its a current account, i get paper statements anyway and not signed up for Paper Free. I do have internet banking but i need a posted one as i will need it to give to the UKBA. They told me it takes about a week to arrive, but dont know why they havent took the fiver. When i went in store, they said they could only give me a list of transactions for the last 2 weeks, as my last statement was dated 13th June 2014, or they could give me a duplicate of my last statement. But to get one for the last 2 weeks as a proper statement ithas to be ordered and charged at £5.
  11. I went into my local branch to order a statement from the last 2 weeks, which i was told would be charged £5 for and would take a week to arrive. OK fine, no problems, but the £5 hasnt been taken from my account i wondered if anyone had the same problem and got their statement. ...or if not, when did they take the £5. ..initially i thought they would have taken it straight away!!!!!
  12. No it will stay on my file until March 2017 And I wasn't trying to get it removed!
  13. ** UPDATE ** I got the following letter :: Thankyou for contacting us regarding the information that has been reported to the CRA in relation to your barclaycard account. I am sorry you had reason to complain. I have not tried to call you to discuss your complaint as we do not hold any contact telephone numbers for you. Firstly Id like to apologise for the confusion caused by this matter. Barclaycard have an obligation to provide accurate information to the cra. Having reviewed our records, I can see that your account was reporting as being on a repayment arrangement from March 2009, prior to being settled in full in March 2011. This information is correct and will not be amended. I note your comments that you may seek advice from the ICO. The ICO says you should be in no worse state than someone who makes no effort to pay when an agreed repayment plan is in place. A credit file with a repayment plan in place is preferable to one with a defaulted debt. The date at which the debt is removed from your credit file depends on when that debt is settled or defaulted. So what am I supposed to do now? Can I do anything? Brig or anyone, I would really like your help!!
  14. Well They rang me to discuss it and thats when it was set up in 2009. If i knew back then what i knew now...i would have just let it default....cos now the fact i have arrears and an AP brings my score down....and obv the credit accounts wont disappear until 6 years from the last payment/when the account got closed...making it 2017. I want to be trying to get a mortgage in a few years but its gonna be hard!
  15. I dont know where im looking Brig, but what i have found it says creditors will default after 3 months of breaking the Arrangement to Pay, but i never defaulted at all...and i didnt use a dmp, i set up the original Arrangement to Pay through them, directly.
  16. Well since theyre classing it as a complaint, i would have thought that it will take them at least another 4 weeks totalling 8 weeks to get a final response. what do i do if they say they wont put a default in place of the AP markers??
  17. Update : Got a letter from Barclaycard today who have informed that they havent managed to resolve my complaint as it is still being looked into. So if I dont hear from them in the next 4 weeks, this will make it 8 weeks.....what will my next move be??
  18. You should ring the bank back and get them to put u through to visa disputes or give you a number to contact them directly.
  19. UPDATE:::: Well, A bit of an update ::: After no response to either of my letters ( courtesy of Brigadier) I decided to start again and resend my original letter. I got a response saying my ' complaint ' would be dealt with on or before 25th March 2014, and it come from Customer Complaints Northampton, even though i sent it to the data controller in London... I will await their response but just in case I dont get the result i would like, does anyone know any details of anyone high up in the barclaycard chain ??
  20. I just dont get why the company i paid by mistake would allow such payment when there is no booking reference on their systems matching mine....i dont get that really
  21. The bank said i have to wait till it clears which could take up to 15 working days....then raise a dispute, whatever that means...
