1. I've just picked up an answerphone message from NatWest regarding my SAR. I used this template; http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?387306-Full-Subject-Access-Request Under the account/ref number I also included "previous Address - xxxxx" any ideas what this could be about before I call them back?
2. Thanks, I didn't realise that! Thinking about it, it has been a while since I last got a letter asking me to tax or SORN it. I'll send a letter to the DVLA anyway. Thanks both!
3. A few years ago I dismantled an old car of mine, sold the parts and cut up/scrapped the shell. At the time it was SORN, the reminder came through and I just re-SORNed it. Somehow I misplaced the V5 so for the past few years I've just declared it SORN. A red V5 came through a while ago so I decided to report it scrapped to the DVLA, but it seems the option to do this yourself has been removed from the document? What can I do? I don't really want to have to SORN it every year!
4. so should I send a CCA request to Vanquis as well? Would this harm my chances at negotiating a 50% payment to clear the account if everything turns out to be in order?
5. Thanks. Letter sent this morning with a blank £1 PO. I'll update this when I get a reply.
6. OK, I'll CCA them . Pretty new to this so please excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject. I found the following template in a different post.... (strangely there isn't anything in the letter templates forum). [removed] Is this sufficient? Do I need to include a line saying 'This account is in dispute.' ? Also, I presume I send this to Robinson way. Do I also need to send it to Vanquis?
7. Date of default from Noddle I should have said this earlier, but before the debt was passed to Robinson Way, I had a few letters from Vanquis offering to close the account for the same amount as Robinson way (approx 50%). I'm not sure if i still have them but will dig out if I can.
8. So what should I do? Are you saying I can challenge them and possibly not have to pay?
9. Thanks for the replies! the debt isn't that old and I know that the credit card was at -£1500 before it was cancelled. So the offer amount is definitely less than the original debt.
10. Hi, I've recently had a letter from robinson way, offering to close my account and to record partially satisfied. Ideally I'd like the default completely removed. I'd like to know if this is even possible, or is it a waste of my time trying to negotiate this with them? Thanks!
11. I've drafted the letter for SAR, but I don't have my policy number anymore? How can I get this? This is from Experian, its quite helpful in terms of the dates, monthly repayments and the total cost of the loan.
12. Hi, I believe I was mid sold PPI on a loan for a car. I took out the loan over the phone and was told that PPI would increase my chances of being accepted for the loan. I've had a read through the stickies in this forum but couldn't see a plan outline of the steps to take. Although I did find .moneysavingexpert. I don't have any details of the loan anymore, as it ended in 2009. Although my credit file from experian still shows it, including a few missed payments I found this on the NatWest website http://personal.natwest.com/global/ppi.html Should I just fill it in with the information I have? Or is there a better route?
13. Ok, thanks. I've sent an email to repayments@sunny.co.uk requesting to clear the outstanding debt for £200. I'll update you when they reply.
14. Ok thanks again! I will contact Sunny and propose to settle the debt for £200. I'm hoping if I get this closed pretty quick it wont appear on my credit report (as it hasn't yet). just logged into my sunny account and have found this.
15. Ok, I'm slightly confused now. I'll try to condense the above ^ I took the debt out with Sunny at the beginning of the year. Missed a couple of payment's and it defaulted. The only communication I've had is; 1. 17/9/2014 Sunny sent me the email above (which went into junk mail) requesting a total of £267 2. letter from MMF (who say they are representing Sunny) requesting £462.74 None of this is on a credit check. I've signed up to Noddle, Equifax (free 30 days), and Experian (free 30 days). What is my best course of action? Should I negotiate with MMF or contact sunny directly.
16. OK, so I should be able to pay Sunny even thought the debt has been sold on to MMF? Can I negotiate with Sunny? i.e. send a request for the debt to be cleared for £200? or can this only be done with the debt collection agencies? Thanks for your help!
17. Ok, this is interesting. I was just taking a look through my junk mail and came across this from Sunny (who the original loan was with). This was sent about 5 weeks ago. MMF are requesting £462.74 for this debt.
18. this is Noddle (CallCredit) and the same debt in Equifax.
19. just a small update - got the job, the salary never came up in any checks.
20. I received this on the 10th for a loan of £914... We can confirm that you have been affected. What happens next We will automatically clear any outstanding debt you have with us and your balance will be set to zero. This will be done by the end of October 2014. You do not need to do anything. We are working with the relevant credit reference agencies to remove records relating to this loan from your credit report. We expect this will take between three to four weeks to be completed. This will be done automatically and there is no further action required from you.
21. The first debt I mentioned (Sunny/MMF) has been sold on. Sunny to MMF. All I have is a letter from MMF. I assume they have added penalty charges, but I don't know how much. (this debt isn't on credit report). The second I only know about because it's on my credit file. I haven't been contacted about this, although I possibly received a letter last year to tell me I have defaulted on the repayment. The credit report has Payday Express as the lender, so I assume this hasn't been sold on yet.
22. both are payday loans. The first MMF/Sunny isn't on my Noddle credit report, but the second is. Both are pretty much the same as far as dates/debt. LENDER BALANCE UPDATED STATUS Payday Express £543 20/09/2014 Default Account type Advance Against Income Account number **** Account start date 18/03/2013 Opening balance £ 428 Repayment frequency Monthly Date of default 17/08/2013 Default balance £ 428
23. Ok, Thank for the information. No I haven't requested a CCA. Is it too late to do this now? I was loosely basing my 'plan of attack' around this post thread 20758 (I cant post links) As both debts are around £400, I'm in a position to pay both off immediately. So I was hoping to get some debt reduction, then just pay both in the next few days.
