Hi there, thanks for your reply. Luckily, I was able to access the money the next morning with no problem!! So now officially concluded
-
Apples, my son and I received the same on Monday, checked our respective accounts today and yesterday, both our accounts were credited with the full amounts claimed!! (we have not received written notification of this) Keep checking your account

Checked my account today and found that Halifax have credited my account with all charges/interest/court costs claimed. This was despite receiving notification from the court on Monday of the Halifax's intention to defend. :) I am unable to access MY money at the moment as I was requested to return my cash card the moment I started action against them. They have also put a stop on me transferring funds too. I am going into the local branch tomorrow to speak with them. I posted on what happened this evening when I spoke to the bank above. Will donate soon (hopefully)! Thanks to everyone again who has helped - without you, we could not have done this.

I have been refunded all my charges but bank have denied me access to this money. Cant transfer it either. I have just spoken to bank who were going to put me through to head office and I was told to contact Robinson Way - I refused and asked them to put me through to head office or I would write to the court - I cannot believe that they have just put me through to Oliver Blair Debt management company without my knowledge - what can I do to force the bank to speak to me and enable me to access my money?????
-
I have also just come across this post by googeling the above company. I have received a letter from Robinson Way threatening Court Action. I have also received many phone calls from them of which I do not answer. In my case, it is the HALIFAX BANK who are using them to try to recover monies accrued on my account in unlawful bank charges! I am just about to file my MCOL with the Court service against the Halifax

Thanks for your speedy reply Aardvark - I will send another LBA with revised schedule of charges and allow them another 7 days... thanks for that

NEW QUESTION !!! Hi again, Have not been able to keep to my timescales due to illness & am now ready to put in a Court Claim. Since sending the LBA with schedule of charges, I have had further charges applied to my account therefore, could you please tell me whether i need to send my Bank a new schedule of charges before court action commences & if so what sort of letter would I send with that ? Thanks in advance

Frustrated Customer v Halifax
Tilly1959 replied to birmanmad1's topic in Halifax Bank and Bank of Scotland
Sorry to hijack your post but I too had sent my LBA and included £34.00 (exact amount of interest charged in overdraft interest), I take it then that this is incorrect to add 'any' interest at this stage? Can you please confirm this? I was aware that you can only add the 8% interest on application for court but (wait for it ) thought - christ what was I thinking:confused:. I will re-read all the information again with a view to improving my understanding of it. Many thanks in advance. -
I wonder if anyone can help? Roughly 3/4 years ago I was made redundant and had an overdraft of £2000 - Not sure how much was due to bank charges; a time came when I was unable to keep up payments and the debt was sent to debt collectors. I have been paying very small amounts and interest was obviously frozen. I assume my account was then closed. My question is: Does anyone know whether I could still pursue the Abbey for all Bank Charges incurred at any time throughout my banking with them? I could use that money then to pay them off

Hi I agree too - that withouth this site, I would not have known where to start! Will donate as soon as I get a settlement from the Halifax

I am glad I have come across this thread! That's great news Drivers. My son has had problems with extortionate charges by Renault Finance but because he is not a third of the way through his agreement yet, we are holding tight. I will be watching this thread with interest and when the time is right for us, we will go for it.
