  5. I never deal with these things over the phone got in writing, I am tempted tho to file for a judgement. I was wondering though would i be within my rights to demand the sum is settled as a cheque rather than a credit for which i will make the payments as they cannot be trusted
  6. HFC settled my claim and agreed to credit the amount to my acc, now several weeks later i have finally heard something with regards to this , wescott who handle the debt have sent me a letter this morning saying that HFC have told them that the charges are lawful and they will not refund any charges, luckily I didn't close the claim and now intend to file a judgement against them as well as writing a letter of complaint to DG solicitors whio handled the matter, has anyone else had this experience and can they offer any advice

  8. I never started a claim, the roll number they quote matches mine, but have never so much as sent a dpa request, its almost as if they are doing a preemptive strike as the letter does ot have the tone of the normal paying up letters
  9. further to last last message if i am entitled to ask for the credit of £152 am i also entitled to ask for the 500 pounds which made up the balance of the debit of £1492
  10. thanks for your reply karnevil i have realised that i have been applying the priniciples from the current account to the credit card acc ooops!. heres a question from another credit card account the total of charges i had paid and relating interest was 1644 also there was a further 500 pounds in unpaid charges plus interest which made up the balance . At the time of initial start up of process the balance on the acc was 1492 in debit so am i rite in thinkin i can ask they credit my account with a further £152 (the difference between the 1644 and 1492) to close the matter?
  11. Sneaky bs had a letter from DG this morning thanking me for accepting the offer and that they would credit the account soon, but no payment sent them a letter saying i want payment as well as credit, as a credit is just the same as me payin charges again has anyone else had them or any other bank do this as i have the same with alliance credit card who albeit more upfront with there intentions to 'credit' the account
  12. Thats an idea i may do thay myself even though it has no weight just for the principle
  13. the latest alliance trick have now credtid , the credit card acc with the full amount and left thew balance at nil and removed the default which is great. wha they havent done is pay me yet as the whole balance of the card wasd made up of charges, i have have argued there shud never have benn a debt to clear in the first place in fact i was in credit onthe acc, therefore i want my money otherwise i shall not retract my court claim. the alliance are bastards excuse my language who even wen lost are still trying it on still im glad they did it this way cause the have less than 2 weeks before the courts 28 day period is up. anyone else had this from them as they pulled similar on the current acc
  14. I think just as a matter of priniciple i shall reject the offer unless there are no conditions attached.
  15. headed by a a peace of paper stating without prejudice which makes the confidentiality agreement inadmissable in a court as far as i am aware. just wondering of anyone else had, had similar
