  1. Thanks for the help Citizen. I've emailed them advising unless they provide a full explanation within 5 days, I'll raise their refusal to do so to FOS and the ICO.
  2. So, the 56 days has expired with no explanation from the company. That said, the marker has been removed? Noddle can't provide any additional reason why, just referred me back to Wonga? All seems a bit odd? I know Wonga are under the cosh at the mo from the regulator but is this standard treatment from the company?
  3. Hi Citizen B, Thanks for the quick response. I did email the complaint to the mailbox detailed on their website. The acknowledgement is copied in below. the Customer Complaint procedures they sent me clearly states complaints can be made by email also. As far as I can see, they've had 4 weeks of the 8 allowed for FOS to investigate? I'm just a bit surprised considering the FCA giving them a shoeing a while back, they've decided not to properly investigate? "Thanks for your email on 24/08/2014. Our escalations team is looking in to this matter. We’ll do our best to resolve it asap and we’ll send you an update within 7 days of receiving your email. A copy of our complaints policy is attached. This includes useful information on how we deal with complaints. If you want to speak to us directly about this, please don’t hesitate to call 0207 138 8330. Yours sincerely, Escalations Team Wonga.com"
  4. Quick update. I raised a complaint to Wonga via email, they acknowledged by return, sending me an automated reply saying they'd investigate and respond within 7 days. Despite this being a month ago, i've received nothing else. Is this standard procedure that they don't bother investigating? Also, I raised a dispute with Noddle, the id check has now dropped off and/or disappeared from my credit file? I find it odd Wonga would deal with the credit agency but not tell me anything why they placed it in the first place?!
  5. I've emailed them today asking why they've carried the check out, will see what they say.
  6. Thanks all for your responses, I just thought it was odd as I'd heard nothing since 2010 when I had the loan and haven't been in touch since.
  7. I had a Wonga loan some 3 years ago, all paid off with no problems. I've had no dealings with the company since, however last month they've carried out an Identification check on my Noddle credit report? Is this usual? Why would they do this???
  8. Hi, I phoned FOS, they were fair but are unable to investigate as i'm not a customer. They did suggest as they couldn't find a Credit Licence the company were as dodgy as a 9 bob note and to steer clear. Thanks
  9. Hi all, Quick update. Although i've heard nothing from the FCA directly, I did find this on their website. http://www.fca.org.uk/news/warnings/wagelender-cc
  10. Edited. Thanks renegadeimp. I'll contact the OFT to see what they say. Chuffing parasites. (the company, not OFT)
  11. Hi all, Has anyone any ideas how I can make a complaint against the company wagelender.com? They've sent me 15 texts offering me a PDL in the last week, I've not asked for it but can't find any address/phone number/email to make a complaint to get them to stop? Anyone any ideas? Thanks x
  12. Hi, Has anyone had any dealings with the above company? They're texting and e-mailing me offering loans which I don't want, I've emailed them to ask them to stop but they don't seem to act on my requests. I can't find any address, telephone number, credit licence or data protection reference so I can complain to the ICO? If anyone can help, it would be appreciated. Sal.
  13. Thanks all, i'll go firing on all fronts, bank, ICO and the individual who's data i've received, hopefully they'll follow it up with a complaint themselves.
  14. Thanks for the prompt responses. I'll send the complaint off to the Bank Data Controller later today and confirm to them i've complained to the ICO. Re letting the original complainant know, i'm edgy that this will somehow drop me in it?! Although I've no intention of forwarding on the actual information released to me, would letting a 3rd party know I've received their information place me in breach of the act?? Sorry if i'm being naive here; i'm just looking to protect myself if the bank start playing nasty?
  15. Hi all, Hope you can help, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, or if this thread is in the wrong place. I've received 2 e-mails over the past 3 weeks from a high street bank relating to a complaint, which isn't mine. The information includes bank details, the details/ history of the complaint and named contacts within the bank who have been dealing with it - including the chief exex. The blurb on the bottom of the e-mail demands I must send this back and not forward it on etc. I won't be disclosing the bank etc publicly, but I'm currently in dispute with the same bank and have issued the chief exec emails of details of my complaint some months prior to receiving this. What are my options? I don't want compensation etc for the above breach, but are concerned the bank cannot handle data securely? Should I contact the bank, raising a formal complaint? The ICO? FOS? OFT? The original complainant? I don't want to let this drop, but not sure where I should go? Any ideas and in what order I should make the complaints? Sorry for rambling, I'm still fairly new to this. :?:Thanks for your help.
  16. Both Rebel and Rameses; thanks for your help, much appreciated.
  17. Thanks for your help. At this stage, as I mentioned earlier - it's all gone quiet. if they do come back asking, i'll claim SB and post back.
  18. Rebel11 - nothing on my credit file regarding a CCJ. Rameses_QC - I'm not sure either, hence asking the question! Thanks for the response. I asked FOS to investigate the legitimacy of the debt as the DCA refused to provide evidence of T&C's, they harassed me, refused to provide statements etc and to be honest, I could not recall the debt (I now can). When the DCA did provide evidence to FOS, there were statements showing payments from 2005 and alleged telephone calls from 2006. Regarding accepting the ombudsmans findings, I didn't accept them as there were a number of issues I disagreed with, and since FOS investigated in 2008; it's all gone quiet. I suppose I'm looking for some assurance; if the DCA come calling again, can I claim the debt as Statute Barred? I suppose the question I'm asking, although I believe I qualify for the debt being statute barred under HMRC guidance, would the fact FOS believe the debt exists - take primacy?
  19. Hi all, First time up and looking for some help. I've an old debt from 2005 (HSBC Credit Card) which I'm unsure is statute barred? I stuck my head on the sand for a couple of years, the debt was chased by a DCA in 2008. They however, made a mess of the case, and I raised it with the ombudsman. The ombudsman ascertained the debt did exist but reduced it drastically due to the harassment caused. As yet, it's all gone quiet and i've heard nothing since. At no time have I made a payment or admitted the debt, so, as the 6 year time limit expired in 2011, is this statute barred; or as FOS ascertained in 2008 the debt does exist - am I liable? I should say i'm not proud of my actions, and that sticking your head in the sand is not the way to deal with debt. However, this is where I am and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Miss Confused.
