  1. Hi everybody I have tried making a PPI claim to Barclays Partner Finance for a car loan that I took out. My monthly PPI payments were paid to Barclays, however they have written back to me to saying that the dealership I bought the car through effectively sold me the PPI and they have passed my details on to them. Is this correct?? Thanks in advance
  2. I had CPP back to when it was People's Bank. I submitted a claim to Citibank, who held on to it for 16 weeks, when I wrote and demanded to know what was going on, they sent me the FOS questionnaire etc... back to me and told me to contact Opus. I sent everything off to Opus, who then sent me back a letter asking me to fill out an FOS questionnaire!! I wrote back to them explaining that I had already filled one out which they have received and I fail to see why I have been sent another one. I've had no reply to this, this was around a month ago.
  3. I'm afraid BMC Digital are a terrible firm, they should be banned from ebay. I bought a cordless mouse off them, they sent one which was faulty, I sent it back, they sent another one, that was also faulty, I sent that back, they denied receiving it and wouldn't replace or refund me, opened a case with ebay, but as this had been going on so long it had passed the time scale of ebay's complaints procedure. In short they are [edit]s.
  4. I've yet to send another complaint letter. Any suggestions as to the wording? As the last couple have illicited no response As always thanks in advance
  5. No I didn't request the agreement in the SAR, I thought a SAR gave you all your dealings with said company. The account is closed, long time ago. Thx
  6. Hi I've just received my SAR from Barclaycard (well after the 40 days). I had a Morgan Stanley card with PPI on it, now, I would never have taken out PPI, but, just to be sure SAR'd them. However, all I've received is copies of the statements, I was hoping they would send me the original application form so that I could check for definite that I didn't apply for it. To be honest I can't remember how I applied for the credit card and was hoping the SAR would shed some light on it, but as I say, all I've got a are copies of all my statements. Any advice, much appreciated Thanks in advance
  7. Yes, I sent an SOC. I've been self employed all life. I had the card back when it was People's Bank
  8. Hi I recently sent off the FOS questionnaire etc... to Opus after following all the advice on this site. I received a letter back and another copy of the FOS questionnaire asking me to return it within 14 days. Should I comply with this request? I think it is a stalling tactic due to the fact that the PPI goes back to 1999 Many thanks in advance
  9. I've sent a formal complaint already, guess it's time for another one! Thanks for your help
  10. I mean If I don't refer it to the FOS and carry on waiting for Barclaycard is there a time limit before Barclaycard can write off my complaint?
  11. Is there a time limit for Barclaycard where they can just write off my original complaint? Thanks
  12. OK, I see, but after waiting all this time, will this be like starting the process all over again? Thanks
  13. I'm a bit confused, if the FOS are involved does it means its all in their hands then and I only deal with them? Or will Barclaycard still be involved and be able to make me a offer at anytime? thanks
  14. Does this mean it is then out of Barclays hands and the only correspondence will be with the FOS? Thanks
  15. Hi I submitted my FOS questionnaire with covering letter etc.. back on 19th January, during this time I've had three letters each apologising for the delay and giving me a new date that they would respond by. I've also called numerous times only to be fobbed off with a decision will be made very shortly. What should I do next? Many thanks for any help in advance
  16. I'd say absolutely nothing if she never signed any contract
  17. Send SAR first to the registered offices. Once you have all your statements then send the FOS questionnaire, Spreadsheet and covering letter
  18. I've had a look at the 'Notes for claimants' post, there's not really anything there that is relevant to me. Should I write a covering letter explaining about not ticking the box? Or should I just hope for the best with the FOS questionnaire? Thanks again
  19. Hi I've just received my SAR from Halifax. Looking at the original application form, there is a section called 'Credit Care' which I assume is the PPI. I'll be able to explain this better if I type out the question on the form: 'If you do NOT want to participate in Credit Care please tick here...' The thing is I didn't tick the box, as I probably took it to mean the opposite at the time. My question is, do you think it would still be worth trying to reclaim the PPI? Many thanks in advance

  22. Hi everybody I've realised that my mortgage with Barclays, that I've had for over 30 years has whats called a 'mortgage care' payment of £30 per month. I've been self-employed all my working life and am wondering whether this a form of PPI and would I have grounds for a claim? Many thanks in advance for any help
