We have also been in contact with the FSA so all have been informed of the delightful FLM :/ Well the saga carries on ....our copies of the letter they said not sent on 26th Sept . and a further letter enclosed was recieved by them at 8.22am on the 11th October...on the 12th October we recieve a default notice giving 15days for us and the loan borrower to pay up in full or court papers would be proccessed the letter was dated 11th September the same day as ours arrived with them !!! Mmmmmmmm we thought they have not sent this out until later in the day have they ignored ours...got on phone to Ombudsman and they said the same told us to ignore it but just give them a ring to say you had contacted the Ombudsman and that you had recieved the letter from them ....gonna send this in writinhg too...did that 1st thing which was said are you paying the account ..answer no...just making you aware the Ombudsman have been informed ...reply Why have you got them involved ...answer read the letter and you will find out ...goodbye . We have now got the letter ready to send to the OFT after speaking to them on the phone .... Watch this space folks don`t think all is finished with yet ....Ombudsman have given them the satutory 8weeks to respond to us / them ...so will they ever read our letters mmmmmmmmmm we will see .

Just to say we are reporting another company to the OFT the address is Credit Fitness Team Office of Fair Trading Fleetbank House 2-6 Sailsbury Square London EC4Y 8JX Tell them what you have told on here they are most helpful and they are the ones that regulate the licenses...Ive got thread ongoing atm ...with a certain company FLM the advice on here is brill ...don`t know what I had done without it ...We have also involved the Ombudsman tel no and details on one of my posts...

How much extra have you had to pay if you don`t mind telling ...click on my posts and read my problems ...wehave just reported them to the Ombudsman suggest you do to even though its been to court as the more they know about these people at FLM and the way they disregard the rules the better I say ...Ours is still ongoing ...and anyway you are still getting harrassing calls from them so get on the phone to the ombudsman and let them know !!! THE Ombudsman no is ...0800 023 4567 click option 4 ...free number so you don`t have to worry how long you are on !!

Had a call from FLM tonight ...as we contacted the Ombudsman Friday we are not sure if they will have received anything from them yet , I do hope they have, as they have shot themselves in the foot so to speak ...I will be checking with them tomorrow ! Also they said that they had sent out a IE asked if we had got it today ...we have`nt .. .said they needed it back urgent because it will go to litigation tomorrow...? How can it go to litigation if we have`nt had the forms and if they have only just sent them out over the weekend how do they think we would get them back .. .also we have our own DMP so all our surplus is taken .. .can they demand a IE from us and if the Ombudsman is involved can they go to litigation ? It makes me wonder if they have heard from the Ombudsman and hope that we are not going to know when they did ! But I will find out !
  6. An update....so the calls still come and the threats so guess what we`ve done....? Reported FLM on Friday to the Ombudsman hope they like that one !!! Still no responses to the mail ...further letter sent with more ammo to them as well ...!

Payplan are really good and its free no up front fees to pay and you can do it all online if you wish / they always phone back if you ask and you are made to feel at ease they will take control all you need to do is give them all your finance and income etc details and the do the rest...good luck your not alone
  8. Well FLM they never stop do they !!! I have a post and an ongoing situation regarding FLM and the minions that call you who do not listen although ours is as a guarantor ....do try to leave the paper trail they don`t like it at all ...and if you want to read my post please feel free I will be cantacting the oft and the ombudsman about the disregard they have and how they do not listen ...please do this as well the more people that do the better...regarding your payments on the bottom of your staement you will find that you can pay at a pay point site by just taking the bottom part of your statement you have a barcode on it pay cash at the pypoint and you recieve a receipt they will not have any bank details or anything then and you can be at rest about feeding your family ...paypoints are at most newsagent shops and supermarkets it an easy way to pay and they do not have your bank details as long as you pay in cash Good luck think we all need it when dealing with FLM !

Hi It still rumbles on and on still the calls ....but one thing I wanted to ask is this and hope someone can clarify for us...the borrower has acknowledged that he has financial problems and has instucted a DMP company to deal with things and he is putting FLM on his plan as a creditor ...we have our own DMP in force since last year and they have said to us that it is not policy to put the same creditor onto 2 DMP`s so they have said to us to send a token payment to them seperate this we have done( £2 )...Flm are wanting to know why we are not paying them through our DMP and we have told them that the Loan borrower has placed them as creditor on his and they will have to wait until the paperwork has been sorted out ...So basically is this correct? Hope it`s not too jumbled

Oh and the charges ar £7 per letter & £20 late payment even though this is only 1month in arrears as this is when the borrower started to enlist a DMP company and were told about it straight away! More charges to come as it will be 2 months soon ...not sure how many chrges of £20 have been put on as we don`t have the statements the borrower has them but we have requested them in our letter :/

Thanks again MARTIN3030 After posting our letter this morning had a call from FLM asking why we had`nt reply to the letter so I told them that ours was in the post and we would converse in writing only....annoyed yes he was wanted to know why / what was in the letter / that he wanted to discuss over the phone etc...found it rather good to be able to be a parrot and keep saying we will deal with it in writing only! He was`nt happy at that and asked why so I said we wish to do it in writing only I don`t Have to discuss over the phone if I do not wish to ....his reply was well we have rights too and I want to discuss on the phone to this I started again by saying in writing only please... Can only say I can`t wait for the next one so I can say it over and over again!!! ( I can really as it wears you down but hey f they don`t want to listen then thats their problem )

Had a letter over the weekend this is not the reply to the one we are sending out to them....it states on the letter which is dated 21st September 2011 That the only way court action can be avoided is by you and J... pulling together and getting your loan back up to date today.you need to call our 24hour payment line now on ..... press 1 enter no. ....this will stop all further action and lift the weight off your shoulders . I do not want you to think that charging you each time I write to you is something we do to make more money.Actually our charges are small in comparison to the cost of all the extra work I`m doing to help.If we could afford to ,we would avoid charges altogether. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Also on the bottom of the letter our username and log in details are printed surely this is a breach of security and on the comment they have made extra work to help it`s a joke all they have done is harrassed by phone and not listened to anything the loan borrower or ourselves have said to them. Advice & comments welcome on this one please!!!

Thank you for all the info ...letter written and letter of sorry obtained if needed have told them we have this letter in the letter we are sending to FLM ...we have given them 14 days from receipt of our letter to respond to us with all the documentation asked for as well. Will keep all informed as to how this gets dealt with on this forum hopefully it will help others with the same probs. from the same company. Feeing happier now thanks

Hi just another quick question regarding the above posts ...as we are the guarantors for this loan is there anything other that we need to say in our letter to FLM so that they won`t try and quote the rule book to us and that covers us with our token payment as the calls are to say the least aimed at us not having any rights at all !!! Thanks for your help so far the letter will be going to them on Monday by recorded delivery so hope you can rely back asap.

  18. Thanks for that we will write to them and put those things in you have suggested. The point is they will be getting money from both parties then so they should be happy to get that ....we are not going to be bullied by them....oh is it right that they nearly had there licence revocked some time ago ...wish we had known if true.

  20. dx100uk ...thanks but you don`t seem to have put an answer ? FLM are a loan company and unfortunatly we have been silly in acting as guarantors we know but need some answers as to what we do next .

FLM ...we acted as guarantors for a friend of 30 years ho needed a short term loan until he sold one of his homes.. ..foolish now we know so please no comments on that .. .at first we paid his payments and then he was able to pay them himself.. .he did ot sell this house and collected rent instead this has been fine for the past 2 years . Since this though our own cirumstances have changed and we are on a debt managment plan of our own and we have just in the last 2 weeks been told that our so called friend started the proccess of debt managment...we have been inundatd with texts /calls they say 3 letters we only recieved one and we think this is harrassment. W e have told them that we are on debt managment and we hav`nt the money to pay the months arrears which will soon be 2 months and our "friend " has told them he is in the process of being on DMP. Please can someone tell us where we stand as the people at FLM do not seem to hear when you say what has happened all they say is that we signed up for it so we have to pay even though we have told them that our crcumstances have changed and we are unable to commit what we were able to before . We are not trying to get out of this and they will get some payment from the person who has the loan even though once it is dealt with will not be as much as the required payment we just cannot do what we said due to our own personal change in circumstances with all that is happening with the state of the country. They have said that they would not recognise DMP ...surley this is outside of the law and my understanding is that if you are willing to pay on the account the offer cannot be refused or hold up in court...we have told them we cannot pay so to take us to court. Help we need some answers please ...do we have to pay anything if the other person is paying what they can afford ? The person who has the loan still has 2 properties !!!!!
