  1. There wasn't an agreement in place with them unfortunately, I paid them a certain amount per month. They wouldn't come to an agreement with me, after a number of months despite me paying them they have passed it now to a DCA. They have placed a default on my credit file should I just pay the DCA from now? I am confused.
  2. Hi, Payday Express have passed my debt to a DCA even though I was paying them back a certain amount per month. I have now agreed a repayment plan with the DCA they were okay being honest. Should I continue paying Payday Express as before or should I pay the DCA from now on? will the amount outstanding owed to Payday Express be cleared when I pay of the DCA in full? Any advice would be appreciated.
  3. I have also three defaults on my credit file wonga, lending stream and payday uk. I have paid wonga off in total and am well on the way with the other two. Can anyone advise please on weather it is possible to remove these defaults
  4. Lukas I am in a similar situation, I have 3 defaults on my file quickquid, payday uk and 247 moneybox. I too would like them removed but I am not hopeful. I am in the process of paying them all off and they will be inside the next 12 months. However the quicker I can get them off my file the better.
  5. That is correct after checking the date of default is 15/01/2012. Since April a D is listed under each month, can I take it then what matters is the default date 15/01/2012? I don't understand why they continualy mark each month from April with a D marker. I defaulted in January as stated surely this should be the only D marker present. Thank you for your feedback
  6. Hi, Stupidly I got myself into a mess with payday loans, I am glad to say I am well on the way to getting out of this mess. I am now determined to sort out my debts and improve my credit which I will do. However there is one payday loan company who have registered a default against me each month since April (I have only noticed it this week after signing up with Noodle for a credit report). This is one debt outstanding to them which I will have paid in full early next year. I understand this is against the law in that there should be one default maximum against one debt, is this correct? Can anyone please give me some advice on how to get these multiple defaults removed?do I contact the payday loan company directly?what other body can I contact? Thank you
  7. Hi,Can anyone please advise I got myself into a terrible mess with PD loans but I have made great progress over the last year and will have them all paid off not long from now. After checking my credit file I have noticed that Quick Quid are marking it as a default every month even though I have an repayment agreement with them and it won't be long until the loan is paid off in full. Has anyone had success stopping them marking defaults on credit file? has anyone had success completley removing their defaults altogether?I find it unbelievable that after paying them well over the orginal loan in rollovers etc. they continually do this
  8. Good news well great news! I checked my banking online account and I have received my PPI in full. I cannot believe it but I have done it. It took two weeks from sending back the acceptance letter for the funds to appear in my account. Thanks again everyone I'll have a great bank holiday now
  9. ims21 you constantly replied to my questions throughout the whole process. The information you provided was invaluable, please realise this. People like you are special and make a difference, yous offer advice to 'normal' day to day people who wouldn't know where to start. Companies out there are making millions on PPI claims it is wrong, the government should put a stop to these sharks. It is the peoples money and not their's. Very well done again
  10. Thank you it is great news. As soon as I receive the money I will let yous know, hope it won't be too long!Their offer is a bit better than I worked out on the spreadsheet. The monthly cost of PPI stayed the same but they awarded £45 extra on the compound interest figure
  11. I have receceived a letter back from HSBC this morning, it's just over eight weeks since I sent in my letter of complaint. To my shock I have won my complaint..using the spreadsheet kindly provided on this site I calculated what was owed to me and sent this of with the consumer questionaire and cover letter. HSBC have replied "I am offering to pay redress of x in full and final settlement of your complaint." It is just below £1000 so I am over the moon I am going to send the acceptance of offer letter back today. It states I will receive the funds within 4 weeks, I am so delighted this amount means the world to me. Thank you with all my heart to everyone that have assisted and replied to my questions through the whole process. This time last year I didn't even realise I had PPI on my credit card. So everyone please check even if you think you don't. This site is invaluable to us all when I receive my funds I will be making a donation.
  12. I used the spreadsheet used on this site and filled it out to the best of my ability. At the end of the day it is their word against mine, they are a multinational bank who posted record profits last year so I'm not too confident. I think it's a sad reflection on them they haven't reached decision after 7 weeks, some of the success stories on this site state they have received good news after 2 or 3 weeks.
  13. Thanks for your response, I have done out my spreadsheet and came to a figure what I paid over 4 years roughly £1000 approx. I suspect them to offer me half of this at best, could they offer more? I cancelled the PPI before Christmas and I haven't received a single penny back from them. I called yesterday and they said they are still investigating, they promised a letter will arrive with the decision 8 weeks from when they received it which is fast approaching.
  14. Hi, I eagerly await a letter from HSBC in the next few days regarding a claim I have raised with them with PPI present on a credit card. I cancelled the PPI when I realised it was on place on my card and I genuinely think I have a valid case. However I am not confident, has anyone claimed successfully with them?a work collegue has told me all banks are paying out on all PPI claims now as long as you can prove that you had PPI.Is this correct? Thanks, Phelim
  15. I have sent my claim last two weeks ago to HSBC, I have sent it by recorded delivery but they have not responded yet saying they have received my complaint. Is this normal? someone did sign for it as I checked on the Royal Mail website. Should I chase it up with HSBC?
  16. Hi,Thank you to everyone who have helped out, I sent my PPI claim back last week and I am now awaiting a repsonse. Is the time they have to respond now down to 8 weeks from 12? I think I have a reasonable chance of a refund is there any chance they may respond earlier than 8 weeks or usually do they drag it out (HSBC)Cheers
  17. Thank you for your advice John. Can anyone else please assist.
  18. Hi, I have defaulted with 247 moneybox today they are 1 of the last creditors I need to come to an agreement with. Anyway I have received two calls already from them even though I sent in a repayment proposal over two weeks ago. I found the caller extremely difficult, awkward and bullyish. The second call I received was on my work phone after I didn't answer my mobile. Can anyone please advise me please, I have stated on my emails to specifically contact me via email but they are not listening. Help please:sad:
  19. Thank you I have now filled out the questionaire, spreadsheet and a small cover letter. Should I send now by recorded post to HSBC?
  20. Thank you for posting the spreadsheet. I have now completed it and have almost completed the PPI consumer questionnaire. I am unusure of what the policy number is for the payment protection insurance?can anyone tell me where to find this? Also regarding the cover sheet it is almost five years now since I took out the PPI cover and honestly I do not remember much about what happened when I agreed to take it out..
  21. Hi, Can someone please assist please I need the spreadsheet to work out my PPI claim does anyone have it please? Thanks
  22. Hi, I have agreed to pay Lending stream £25 per month for two loans I have with them, however they won't budge on freezing interest and say interest will not stop until June (loan 1) and July (loan 2) when the loan agreement ends. This will cost me roughly another £130 per month until then on interest alone They said to me they will only freeze interest if I go into a DMP with Money Managed but there is no way I want this on my credit file over a payday loan. Can anyone advise please is there anyway I can get them to stop interest??I have emailed them constantly and phoned them also but no joy yet. Thank you
  23. Hi,Can anyone tell me does the Moneyshop and Payday Express use the same collection team?I think they are the same company is that correct? The reason I am asking is that I am trying to get a repayment plan setup with each of them.Thank you
  24. Hi, I am trying to get into a repayment plan with Lending Stream. Even though I stated on my email to them that communication could only take place via email I took a call today from a lady from Lending Stream who passed me onto a DMP. I spoke with this lady who was pleasant and helpful and she has got Lending Stream to stop charges on my loan and agreed a payment. I haven't agreed to this though yet as I don't want a DMP to appear on my credit report. At the same time I just want to start paying this company off and get on with my life. Could I get them to agree a repayment plan with me??has anyone had much success agreeing repayment plans with this company?? any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
