  1. Read your contract again and see what they say regarding payments whether they debit the full amount, or only the interest until you phone in and tell them to collect in full. 0845 834 0998 is their phone number, which is listed on their Contact Us page. I phoned it, was on hold for a few minutes before getting through - so they are answering their phones.
  2. Peter Tuvey is the owner of Cash Genie. Interesting that he's tried to phone. May just be for the best to see what he wants?
  3. I think you've been given some solid advice there so that should be enough. You can always just supply more information later if need be. Good luck
  4. You took the loan out six weeks ago? Surely if the loan is for a month you would have only rolled over once? I know some companies have it in their terms that they will only take the interest payment until you tell them to debit the full amount, so can't you just ask them to take the full amount, less the interest you've paid so far?
  5. Going with Sillygirl's snowballing method I would suggest offering £20pm to Cash Genie and £10pm to one of the others. If they're the smallest loan try and get rid of them as soon as possible so you can concentrate on upping payments to the bigger ones.
  6. Yes!! If they have access to your account they will raid it any time there is money in there. New account, and most likely for security you'll need it to be with a new bank.
  7. £827?! How did they come up with that figure?! I would keep saying to them every time they attempt to make contact that you have a letter dated recently giving a £182 balance and as far as you're concerned that is the most you will be paying.
  8. It is strange that they are rejecting your offer of repayment because of the payment dates. Is there anyway you can send them proof that your paydate has now changed if this will help things? Sorry I can't be of any more help than that.
  9. The bottom of their site says they are Payday Exchange Ltd. A quick search of their company: they just look like a brand new payday loan company, established in November according to Companies House. Odd that you are being charged for a text though - can you not just unsubscribe? I would post the data I found, but it appears I haven't posted enough to be able to do it.
  10. Good to hear Doubled! I'm glad that you're getting your life back It will make the social life all the better knowing you've earnt it!
  11. I too fell in to default with several PDL's. I managed to agree to a payment plan with 1Month Loan for £20. They said this was the minimum monthly payments they would accept. I was able to set it up via Standing Oder too as I had cancelled my cards and refused to give them my new details. Is £20 something you could stretch to, as it would allow you to stop worrying about them and focussing on the harder to agree with companies? Hope this helps.
  12. Didn't Toothfairy Finance get heavily fined a couple of months ago for pretty much the same thing as is going on here? Stick to your guns, offer them only what you can afford to pay and if they keep threatening you, threaten them in return with complaints to OFT and Trading Standards!
  13. It is a good site. Long time viewer but only just started posting! Hope you're well and you'll get some good advice on here
  14. Waking up and finding my other half has switched the radio station to Radio 1! If there's one thing I don't want to hear in the morning it's Chris Moyles' smarmy voice.
  15. Thank you for this post. I've had my fair share of problems with payday loans in the past but am pleased to say I'm through the worst of it now and the future is looking rosy for me. Glad to hear you're on your way too
