  1. Nah. The "brake checking" thing isnt to argue. Its just to wind the other driver into a rage. Sometimes it works, othertimes it doesnt.
  2. You have supremacy of contract. They cant touch you. PPC dont care though. Theyll lie bluff and cheat simply to get money from you by any means. All the communication so far is automatic. Its likely nobody at the one man band has ever looked at your details.
  3. Hey, if youre happy and you have considered the issue fulfilled and closed, well done Just make sur eyou record the call, incase they say anything about you not posting things publically about it. They have been known to do that.
  4. They sent it because they know they are wrong. ALso note that they do not discuss the problem, or even admit any liability or discuss it.
  5. Love to know which lawyers they are, as for what youre saying, they certainly wont be winning any awards, infact theyd get a pretty bad reputation.
  6. Go ahead and try and sue them if its playing out like you said. I hope youre ready to possibly pay out tens of thousands of pounds to the bailiffs, as well as pay your own legal costs. When you could have sorted this cheaply and quickly.
  7. The debts already dead/defunct/unenforceable. WHy would you want to pay them something when you dont have to? If someone is dumb enough to come to your house, tell them in whatever way you want to jog on or youll call 101 for harassment.
  8. Court will be open a little earlier, and duties are first come first served/ . I suggest you speak to the duty solictor, even in you dont intend to use them as representation in the court room. As stated already, you have very possible high penalties for what you have done. A good solicitor can mitigate that more than you could admitting it with a letter.
  9. If you dont want to use a solicitor ( i suggest you get there the second the court opens and speak to a duty solicitor anyway, just to get their take on things), plead guilty, be very apologetic and be totally truthful. They have heard every excuse going, so they will see right through you if you start throwing in hyperbole.
  10. Standard fare from them. Totally irrelevant info in it, and designed to make them look good, even though it has nothing to do with your issue.
  11. Appealing it is the absolute worst thing you can do right now. The parking companies know this, and know you dont. SO they even offer a discount which conveniently expires just before they need to send the NTK, to further try and bluff you. Sit tight and wait for that NTK which will come in a months time ( if it ever actually does). The PPC cannot do a single thing without sending that NTK, UNLESS you appeal. Appeal, and you make their job easier.
  12. Even if they tried explaining what the fees were for, they still cant charge them.
  13. I politely disagree. I live in north wales. One of the worst areas for courts handing down harsh driving punishments. In the newspapers and on the polices own social media feeds, we regularly see poeple getting charged for DUI etc. And yes, even after a ban, a court COULD add on points after the ban has been lifted. They can and normally also do order extended retests after someone has been on a ban, plus in some cases courses. I wouldnt say it if it doesnt already happen in some areas.
  14. SO theyre charging you with the serious offence. I suggest you find and speak to a solicitor asap. You shoudl really have asked for the duty solicitor when you were at the station. You may please guilty thinking youll get a lesser punishment, but solicitors know the judges and ins and outs of it all, they may be able to provide some mitigation. Right now, i can pretty much guarantee youre looking at a strong punishment. Courts do NOT like people DUI for any reason.
  15. They dont have to send everything unless you specifically request certain things. Especially if they think you already have a copy. Lots of companies do this. Why did you send the DSAR in the first place? What issues are you having with them?
  16. Doubt very much he would go to custody for it. Unless the OP was driving erratically, has been in trouble before for it, or had a very heavy reading. However, you can definitley expect a heavy fine, ban and points on your licence. Probably an extended retest as well as having to go on a course. Even if you do please guilty.
  17. Blue badges have no relevance on private land, so you could appeal using it, but dont count on it winning
  18. If robbers way are involved then it's 100% a junk debt. They only go after debts No body else will touch.
  19. No. get it sent in writing. For chargeback, you take a short letter in to your branch and get the manager there to copy it and sign/date it to ensure its recieved and they cannot back out of their responsibilities . Not over the phone. You have a paper trail then, and it will go to the correct department
  20. Ignore them. Theyre a DCA. DOnt even consider communicating with them. Paypal wont go anywhere near court, and wescot can never do a single thing anyway.
  21. What do you mean by 'partner'. Why write it like this? Something doesnt smell right.
  22. Not on the spot. She can be given a producer instead. She doesnt have to say a single word without a solicitor present, and they cannot arrest her unless theres proof that she has committed a crime. They can detain for purposes of carrying out an investigation, such as insurance checks etc, but the old " am i being detained" comes into play. If they say yes, then they MUST state exactly what you are being detained for. An easy way to sort all this, is when shes in the car, just have an a4 plastic wallet with copies of your driving documents in it. Not the real ones. You are under no obligation to actually provide real documents on the spot, and if the copies are true and accurate, they can easily check over the radio.
