  1. No Advantage Gold here but I did have continuous unarranged borrowing fees throughout 2002. Upto and including 30/09/2002 it was listed as "unarranged borrowing fee" and from 31/10/2002 it is listed as "charges with a date and my account number".
  2. Hi I used a different template and it started like this; Claimant has account xxxxxx conducted on their standard terms and conditions. Claimant is claiming the return of £xx in penalties and £xx in overdaft interest taken by Defendant in charges over 6 years. HTH Mel
  3. The claim was issued on the 22nd August and it will be deemed to be served on the 27th August. Natwest has until the 10th September to reply. As the claim is under £1k I have my fingers crossed for a speedy no hassle payment like other people have been getting. I haven't sent my spreadsheet off yet, will give MCOL a ring later to double check where to send it. Mel
  4. Happy Birthday, what a great present.
  5. Figures crossed that it all works out for you, wishing you the best of luck.
  6. Fantastic well done. Did you file a claim on the 4th of August? As I filed my claim with MCOL last night so I am just wondering if they settled that quick. Mel
  7. Hi Warms, I'm going after Barclaycard and Natwest too. My Natwest statements took 3-4 weeks to arrive which was really frustrating as I wanted to add up the charges and get the ball rolling, however they have been really quick with their replies to my letters and have just claimed with MCOL for Natwest whereas with Barclaycard I have just sent off my prelim letter as I had to give them the full 40days to provide my statements. Good luck.
  8. Hi Maria, They are just saying that because they want you to give up and not carry on to reclaim your money. Good luck and I would expect you to have a few more rudes letters from Monument before they cough up.
  9. Hi Leppo, We are at the same stage with Studio as I sent off my prelimary letter today, I'm only claiming £60 but everybit helps.
  10. Hi, I emailed them on the 6th August asking for a full trading statement of my account and I received the statements on Friday 18th August with a letter saying that the charges are detailed in their t&c's. So I have sent off my prelimary letter today, I have only £60 in charges but I started this for my bank charges and have decided to reclaim the money from anyone else who I might have paid charges to.
  11. Sent the prelimary letter off to Barclaycard this morning, I'm hoping that they reply with the standard letter that says that £12 is "fair" and that they are going to refund £8 as good will per charge, as I will be able to work out how many charges I have picked up.
  12. I decided to file with MCOL as there isn't a county court local to me and it took me a while as I wanted to get everything right. I have read that some people have been posting their spreadsheets of charges, are they posting them to the court that is holding the hearing? And will the exact court that it is being held in show up in MCOL? I found the actual process of submitting a claim quite nerve racking as I didn't want to make any mistakes.
  13. Fantastic, good news, I'm just about to start MCOL so it is good to hear about the results.
  14. Found my Monument statements and there was only 1 charge of £24 so sent off the LBA and I received a phone call today saying that the charge was being refunded to my account and I will receive a letter to confirm this, so 1 down 3 to go. I have come to the usual halt with barclaycard and not received my early statements and their 40 days of the data request is up on Monday. But after reading one of the other posts about how someone else is estimating the charges I have been back through my bank statements which unsurprisingly I have 6 years worth sat right next to me and as I paid my Barclaycard by bank transfer I have noted down if the payment is on or after my usual payment due date. I don't think that there were many times that I exceeded my limit so I am going to put in 2 of these charges as well as an estimate. It would be good to see how other people are doing with their estimated claims but I can't find any cases that have been won with estimated claims. I would feel happy explaining to a judge about how I have estimated my charges from my bank statements.
