  1. Hiya, We haven't moved house Not sure if he received a summons? His offence was speeding at 33mph in a 30 zone last september, at the time our best friend had taken his own life, my husband lost his job and we stupidly didnt open any letters from the court, Something we now regret, we did send of an I&E form in April hence why they started taking payments out of his JSA, when he started working we then received the further steps notice and wrote back explaining although he was in work we were still on a low income, and asked for our case to be reviewed, but they wrote back saying they had already passed it to Marston's. We've got ourselves into a stupid situation, I'm not really sure what the best thing to do is? Apart from contact the courts and fully explain the situation.
  2. Can any one just advise if its worth contacting the courts again? Or do I contact the bailiffs and try to get them to accept a payment plan which I doubt they will do! I want to try an get this sorted asap rather than run the risk of them banging at my door!
  3. Hi there, my husband received a speeding fine last September, he had just lost his job so the whole thing escalated out of hand, & his fine increased for failing to provide his information, whilst he was out of work the court took so much out of his JSA, he went back to work in July due to him not earning an amazing wage we wrote to the court asking for an I&e form, and offered to set up a standing order for £15 per week. The courts wrote back informing us it has been passed onto Marston's who have wrote to us demanding full payment of £745.00 + £85.00 fees which we are not in a position to pay such an amount in full, i fully appreciate my husband was in the wrong by burying his head in the sand, but I would like some info on how best to sort this out, Many thanks
  4. Gate is locked and padlocked, the vans are vws t25 and a t4 both declared as sorn and in bits with no engines! So moving them is not an option really?? Forms are sent now by email and nxt day delivery, photo copies taken etc, My only query really is that the notice he handed me says marstons but the phone number he gave me is for a company called DJ collections & bailiff services based in stafford i also cant find him on the bailiff register???
  5. Its ok ive found it a form TE9 and a TE7, so thats fine i can do that this evening but what do i do if he comes back in the meantime????? Especially if he comes back with a recovery team???
  6. Paid the parking ticket at matlock, still have my ticket as evidence as when we came back from our day we had recieved a parking fine on the vehicle even though we had paid and displayed! Sent of a photocopy and disputed ticket, as this is going back to 30 july 2012, we have heard nothing untill today, the guy from marstons wants 280.72, a full breakdown of his charges can be given if needed, i told him i was contacting you guys he got rather stroppy i didnt let him back on my premises, he stood at my gate which i locked and bolted he threatened me with police and locksmiths and a removal team, he wrote down the details of our vehicles whilst on the other side of the gate, he then posted a notice of seizure goods and inventory through our post box, i told him he didnt scare me which quite frankly he doesnt, but what shall i do now ?? He has gone away i think
  7. And threatening me with police and locksmiths!!! Please help
  8. well thats the impression my husband got too, the lady didnt even look at him and was rude, we've emailed the relevant jobcentre office, i havnt seen anything about NI contributions affecting your claiming abroad? is this true
  9. hi i am looking for any make sense info if possible? my husband lost his job late august and made a claim for JSA contribution based early in september, and we have found out he has the chance to look for work in northern sweden and is almost guaranteed a job over there, the local employment office in sweden where he would be based have sent us criteria information on still claiming uk jsa and as far as we are aware he meets the criteria and that of the criteria in the uk. so today he went to sign on and asked for an U2 form (used to be an E303 form), he explained the situation and was blankly told no you cant have the form your not entitled to it, you wont have paid enough NI contributions ( how she knows this without looking is beyond me?) and then told my husband he had better start looking for work in the uk or she will make sure he loses his benefits!!! he has been actively looking work and has had numerous interviews. my husband just wants a new start for us all, where we live work is so hard to come by, any advice or solid info from anyone would be much appreciated.
  10. Basically the fines amount upto around £1000 part of it was from a fine from years ago which actually was the dvla's fault, they never updated our details that we had moved, all my husband is on his way now to see the fines officer, i just hope that it gets sorted an he doent get arrested:(
  11. No it says a warrant has been issued for your arrest, you are urgently required to contact the enforcement officer or go an see the fines officer to avoid being arrested
  12. The note advises him to go and see the fines officer which he will do this afternoon
  13. We were not deliberatly avoiding the situation at all, we have had a tough time , an the thought that my husband could be locked up makes me distraught!
  14. Just had a note put through the door this morning from hmcs, saying my husband needs to contact them urgently by phoning the court officer direct or going into see the courts fines officer to avoid being arrested for unpaid fines. Had a stressful few months with post natal depression, a bereavement an my husband got made redundant in august, we've done the usual bury head in sand thing, and didnt realise the enormity of the situation, the fines add upto around £1000 which we were going to dispute, as my husband is out of work any advice on what our next port of call is? Obviously my husband needs to go an see the fines officer asap, but any info wd be much appreciated thankyou
  15. hi all, a quick update ( i've been lucky to have a few days at my mums in wales,), i came home to a letter from the council blaming me for there mistake and admitting they lost my paperwork from last year and never read my previous letters!! and also telling me that the matter of the fees is for me to contact the bailiffs, and that i still owe 626pounds (i dont, we actually owe, around 200pounds), also that on this occasion i am lucky as they will withdraw bailiff action, and they are reluctant to accept payments of 10pounds per week and in normal circumstances they would not accept this and would immediatly refer the debt back to the bailiffs, and also we should consider making a higher offer as now your husband is back in work surely you can afford to pay more?!!! Also had a letter from dukes informing me that they have recieved my formal complaint, and will get back to me within 30days, i also contacted worcester county court regarding one of the bailiffs as he has not renewed his certificate??, they were reluctant to give me any information over the phone and said they would write to me with the details but instead sent me a form 4 complaint form, which of course i am not at the stage to do as of yet. And yes the council has another complaint letter coming there way!!!
  16. the first 2 visits were done by different guys, no knock they posted and ran!!, they called themselves pre enforcement bailiffs??, (the 3rd guy is shortly going to under investigation regards to ridiculous fees (over 600pounds), harrassment and getting the police involved during an incident in 2008, ive contacted the police and they have taken everything ive said seriously and they remember the incident, so we will have to wait and see)
  17. hi that is fantastic, i will be signing all 3, i have a meeting with our local press this week, i really want to stand up and be heard so i will tell them this info and im meeting up with a rep for our local mp next week both the press and mp recieve calls daily about the terrible way bailiffs have acted so lets hope we can get as many signatures as possible!!!!
