  2. This adraft of the copmlaint letter i intend to make to santander, Any comments welcomed I wish to complain about the actions you have taken on my account. I February i was made redundant, and went overdrawn you charged me a monthly interest fee as well. I recently had a family member help me out to clear this Overdraft. After it was cleared you slapped on new daily charges of£85 that had not been applied before and seem rather arbitrary. It seems that as soon as there was some money in the account you made new additional charges that will deliberately push the account back into being overdrawn creating more money for Santander. I am still unemployed and this will continue to add up. Be assured that I will never bank with Santander again and will never transfer any more money to you. The debt was cleared and was even in a little bit of credit. Also be assured that if you fail to remove this arbitrary and seemingly made up charge that was suspiciously applied after the overdraft was paid I will be making an official complaint to the financial ombudsman services
  3. Hi Angus im not an expert but you have made a request for your CCA which they must comply with they have no choice. Also put in a Stutory access request the fee for that is £10. you can find appropriate letters in the library. Once they have gone over there time limit to reply you can complain to the information commisoners office. Its a serious offence not to comply with there legal duties under the Data protection act and you are entitled to this information there is nothing they can do about it except ignore and hope you drop it.
  4. Ha so there scrounging money off of there customers to try and make it back. That makes a lot sense as to why they behave the way they do. The government need to slap santander down so hard that never get up again.
  5. Yes A&L where a decent bank. Now they have turned into the worst financial vultures in the country. was it santander or A&L who got ripped off by bernard madoff.
  6. Thanks for that one of the things i want to now is where the charges came from as they where applied after the overdraft and pending charges where cleared. Very odd as they havent applied a daily charge in the past until i paid the overdraft off.

Also add that they should correct it within a set time priod say two weeks or you will report them to the information commisoners office as they are almost certainley in breach of the dat a protection act. Copy the letter to the credot referenc agencies, if thye sent you letter admittign there mistake copy that as well to the credit reference agencies. If they fail report them to the ICO and FSO trading standards amongst others. Misreporting your details is ilegal.

I lost my job in February and went a bit over on my account and had a few charges nothing to serious a few pounds interest a month applied over a couple of months recently a family member helped to clear my over draft and all the pending fees at the time two weeks ago. I look at my account today as I want a statement and suddenly there is a daily fee charge for £85 its almost as if I had a bit of money go in and they decide to take it for themselves. Can anyone advice if this is even legal and how I go about claiming hardship. Santander really are the worst bunch of vultures it feels they are doing this deliberately to push me into the red again so they milk me for more money, Utterly immoral.
  9. Draft of the copmlaint im goign to send out any comments welcome. I wish to complain about the company trading as Robinson Way. They are chasing me for a disputed debt on behalf of NatWest the reason the debt is disputed is NatWest failed to cancel a debit card after I warned them about the possibility of fraud. They subsequently passed the cost of this fraud onto me despite it being there fault. This fraud and copmlaint against NatWest is currently under investigation by the financial ombudsman and police (police ref: ). I have informed Robinson way of this but they have ignored my correspondence and continue to send letters demanding payment for this disputed debt and threatening visits to my postal address which is actually owned by my parents and would cause them distress as well as embarrassment for me.
  10. OK an update on this Robinsons way still have sent me letters including another doorstep colection threat. (i have the video camera battery on chrage for that ) Which is the most appropriate/best agency to?
  11. I have had hidden number calls from them all weekend when i answer i jsut says important call for goatan please call. Well if it is important they would have had a human call and im not paying to call them especailly as know it asbout an overdraft that was paid of this weekend.

Hi fellow caggers I have recently had problems with santanders customer "service" thought i would post a copy of my copmlaint here as warning against usign this failure of a bank. wish to complain about your lack of customer service. Your debt department has placed a block on my card. I cleared this debt on 29th yet the card remained blocked I tried to contact someone to get this fixed. The first person I spoke to told a complete lie and said it was impossible and I would need a new card. I have been in this situation once before and knew that to be wrong so I hung up and rang again hoping to get someone who knew what they were doing, the second time I did. They put me through to the card department who said the block was placed by the debt department who won’t be back in until Tuesday. This has caused be great inconvenience and means I will not be able to travel to a family reunion tomorrow. To add insult to injury I have been getting harassing automated telephone calls all weekend from the debt department when I have already paid!! Why can other departments be in to help over the weekend when the debt department can’t be bothered and instead get robots to do their job for them? If they have the authority to block cards potentially causing people significant problems they should then have the responsibility be contactable like the card department. I have never known such insulting, incompetent and downright inhuman customer service from a bank. I will be copying this complaint to various financial publications this is something i have never felt compelled to do in any dealing with any other business.
  14. Its an old card which i had never used for a long time. Im trying to get a SAR and CCA to claim back my PPI and any dodgy charges. It seems i was slightly wrong its not the CCA they are delaying but the SAR (probably as they know the PPI was misold at the least) they have sent a reconstituted CCA today. So why can they send a CCA without a signature and not the SAR i fell i have a justified complaint about that at the very least. Will post the CCA up once i have it scanned.
  15. Oh i know but reading another thread cap one have used the excuse of no sig to delay things for a long time and the FOS said it wasnt unreasonable to ask for one. Just wondering if there was a way to stop there delaying game.
  16. I have sent a CCA request to capital one early in april. They have recently sent a delaying letter asking for my signature. Has anoyone had any success with the CAG library letter stating that a signature isn't required. Also wondering if it is worth initialing it or writting my name in block capitals instead?

  18. Virgin/MBNA did the same with me i paid it off in one lump they then marked the account as settled on my credit files. Then it suddenly reopened with about £80 interest. im in the process off claiming ppi unfair charges etc against them.

  20. Oh very definitely my plan to do that just annoying and a little bit worrying if my Mum answers she has tendency to panic at official looking things and might pay thinking that she's helping. I have made her aware of what she should do . Forgot to say as well I actually got 2 letters from them with the same date. One saying we want all the money and we will send a local rep. The other one offering a substantial discount, no details just says a substantial discount they don’t sound completely confident of their position.
  21. An update to all this, despite me making Robinson way aware of what was going on they have sent another letter threatening a doorstep visit. Unfortunately like a Muppet I didn’t keep a copy of my last letter so I don’t feel I can complain to the OFT about them this time. However I am going to send the standard CAG letter to ward off their visit along with this. The total of this debt is disputed by myself due to NatWest allowing fraud to be carried out after they were warned of the potential for fraud and my card being cancelled. As you are aware from my previous letter this is currently being investigated by the FOS and the police as a crime (ref: XXXXXX) which NatWest my well has been an unwitting accessory to. The OFT makes it clear that it is unfair to continue collection whilst a debt is in dispute which this debt clearly is. Until the FOS and police report back I will not enter into any further conversations with you and I will raise a complaint with the OFT as I would consider your continued attempts to collect a disputed debt that is under investigation by the OFT to be vexatious and unfair and possibly subject to legal action due to harassment. Please do Let me know what you think of it.
