  1. Hi And thank you.. I have tried to register with shoppr, but I am still waiting for a confirmation email.. Today I received a reply from Welcome!!!! I sent the Trespass letter on Monday, it starts of Thank you for bringing our attention you issue rgarding your HP Agreement, My letter was actually about the Bully Boys coming round and gaining access to a Private block of Flats.. (I have secure door entry system). They cannot contact me as they have no contact numbers available..too right they dont..!! So any charges I find for telephone calls, I will quote from this letter. Karen Peel has asked me to contact her so she can assist me with my complaint.!! To right she will be hearing from me.. I sent my letter to Ruddington/Compliance Department, the reply was from WF/Lenton..Notts..
  2. Hi..great to read your comments Could you put me in the right direction to start a PPI claim? I have started a new thread..but no replies.. I have also done the letter SAR so will see what happens..I am not going to deal with my Local office, direct to the Head Office all my Complaints
  3. Hi, Please could someone tell me the procedure to start a claim against WELCOME fiance for missold PPI. The original HP agreement was taken out in 2007 through Ucan/Car Craft (Do not recommend them!!!) I was told at the time that if I did not take the PPI/Mechanical Breakdown I would not be allowed the Loan/Car!! And it would be to my advantage, well I am now unemployed, and it IS NOT to my advantage, as I have been doing contract work!!! My agreement does not make much sense to me at all.. Charge for Credit for Insurances: £1746.58 Amount of Credit for Insurances: £2911.34 Anyone has any idea???
  4. Well Telecom Plus/Utilities Warehouse (Mobiles) certainly didn't!!
  5. CAME ACROSS THIS INTERESTING READ - Moneysupermarket.com - Welcome car finance Re: Welcome car finance I worked for Welcome Finance for several yrs and came across several people who had been mis-sold their cars or the cars were not road-worthy. I know for a FACT that if you persist with your complaint and really threaten to come and dump the car at their office/refuse to make payments they will act. To be honest we were always told to threaten legal action despite the fact in the 5 yrs or so i worked for them they never once took anyone to court - simply because of the high interest rates they didnt want the bad publicity. The longer you hold onto the car the harder it will be to return the car and more liability you are likely to incur. Best bet is take it back and dump at their doorsteps with the keys with a letter telling them your position. Dont let them palm you off with threats - they are just empty threats of action. Demand to speak to the branch manager of Welcome and tell them you want to return the car due to the fact it was mis-sold under the Sales Act. Im not sure you will get a refund but im sure they will - IF you persist write off the loan and take the car back. Finally my recommendation to anyone reading would be DO NOT buy from Welcome Finance. My own experience was they simply dont care once you sign on the dotted line. DO NOT take out their insurances they are utterly useless and can be found much cheaper elsewhere. You end up paying a high interest rate on-top of an already useless insurance policy. Do speak to a Solicitor regarding your rights or even trading standards should be able to help. I look back with great regret that in my time working there i saw so much done wrong yet didnt do anything about it. They are vermin with little care for anything or anyone bar their targets and manipulating the public.
  6. Welcome Finance owner sets aside £700m for bad debts
  7. Share price is goig down! Lots of shares are being sold!!
  8. Have just seen this on LSE - there is a small Forum there Today 10:54 Today's Update Deloitte report estimates that the Group will need to make a provision of around £700 million in excess of that originally anticipated with respect to the value of customer loans held as at 31 December, 2008. As reported in its most recent interim statement, Cattles' gross receivables were £3.6 BILLION and impairment provisions were £0.4 billion as at 30 June, 2008. The potential additional impairment provision represents the aggregate amount that would be needed in respect of impairment in the years ended 31 December 2008 and 2007 and, potentially, earlier years. So CTT need to borrow ADDITIONAL 0.7 billion? i.e. bit Profile: Andrew Fisher, Provident Financial FD - Accountancy Age There is NO cert bet but... GL ALL!!!
  9. Thank you for this, will send it of tomorrow...
  10. is there a template anywhere on how to request a subject of access ?
  11. Welcome Spies probably have nothing else to do... Shame we cant name and shame some of the staff @ Welcome!!
  12. Well they told me they have phoned me several times at home, but theyI dont have a telephone number for me? How do I get the Subject Access Request? They said they sent me the Annual Statement but I have never received it?
  13. Well my total Credit for the INSURANCES: £2911.34 TOTAL AMOUNT PAYABLE for the INSURANCES: £4657.92 Acceptance Fee £195?? Option Fee: £100 I have no idea anymore what they have charged!! I think someone needs to check my agreement for ???
  14. You must be lucky I have had them round twice, 1st time they got through the secure door entry system (block of flats) 2nd time I saw them hanging around my car, didn't let them in!!
  15. They said I would not be offered the car/HP if I did not take out the PPI. Said it was for my benefit!! We will see, as I am now unemployed!!! But I also had to take the Mechanical Breakdown cover over a period of 4 years. But the funny thing is I dont even have a log/service book!!
  16. I had to take out the insurance/ppi and also the mechanical breakdown, otherwise I would not have qualified for the loan!!! What a fool I was at that time...
  17. I was in a right state yesterday morning, these WELCOME people are just awful, the tone in their voices just prove what bullies they all are. Markiemark1 .. was a saviour yesterday as he put my mind at rest about these people.. Thank you again for your advice..I am sure I will be in touch...let me know how you get on as well.
  18. Thank you so much, I am doing my letters as we speak, as I am also doing one for the Harrasement of the BULLY boys lurking around my car, and entering onto my premises (Live in a block of flats) Car is parked on a private car park area!! Will let you know what happens
  19. What do you do, when Nationwide give you a Overdraft of £3000, then when you are suddenly unemployed, you receive a letter from them, saying they have reviewed your credit and are reducing the overdraft to £1800. and are now demanding I pay the difference asap, and keep adding on charges??????????which by the way are nearly £90 per month!!
  20. Thank you for your reply, do you have the addresses of these companies please. I think the PPI claim will be thrown out, they seem to have a lot of excuses the DIRECT GROUP!!
  21. Hi The same happened to me, I was told that I could only have the car on HP if I had the extra PPI and Mechanical Breakdown cover!! I have missed 1 payment due to unemployment, and the BULLY boys have been round twice... When I telephoned Welcome he told me 2 borrow from Friends or Family...which I cannot do.. I have the PPI so it will be interesting to see what happens next.. I have paid over a 1/3 for the car so they cant take it away apparently without a court order, but I am sure they will!!! but I will not release any keys, or answer the door to them BULLIES...........
  22. Thank you Mark... somehow I think I will be talking to you a lot more.. Just going outside now, as I can see they have left something on the car window... another note as they couldn't get in today.. Welcome Finance..from what I have been reading, I wish I never set eyes on them.... If the staff do have PPI I am sure they have made more than enough moeny from honest paying people... As they say what goes around comes around..so I hope they get their comupance. I will call the police if I see them again, which no doubt will be tomorrow..!! Thank you again for your help. Is there anything else I should do at this point?
  23. Mark thank you soooo much, but I know I still have a big hurdle ahead of me. This weekend I will do the complaint letter to Welcome Finance, and on Monday I will contact Trading Standards. I do believe they need a court order as 1/3 has been paid. If they break in and take it away, I will persue the matter through the courts. But I will make sure I do not sign any documents surrending the car, is this the right thing to do??
