  1. I have just phoned them:madgrin: Did a sales consultant come to see you? Where did you sign the contract?
  2. Can you post up their "Terms and Conditions" of the agreement you have with them. Cheeky sods asking for 3k. Have you signed the contract as a business or as a private individual?
  3. I don't hink you should spend a penny of your own hard earned on a SAR because they wont pay it back. Don't put yourself out for these cretins. If necessary, let them rack up costs doing their stuff because when it comes to the crunch, the debt isn't yours and they wont be able to prove it either and if a judge ever sees sight of a claim from them, no doubt you will get a bucket load of compensation.
  4. Is the multi-room business with charges etc to avoid sky being ripped off by the situation for example someone having sky in their home, and then using the multiroom box say for example in their caravan whilst working in England? or both?
  5. HMMMMM........ According to companies house a small company, registered to a little terraced house, and their main clientele seems to be little asian run businesses like post offices and corner shops with a few hairdressers and cafes thrown in.....

  7. Exactly, There is no greater argument supporting your theory than the name "John Smith" being incorrect so the chances are, you have no argument at all.
  8. it is no longer acceptable for a company to effectively mislead people by saying things in big bold letters on the one hand, and hiding contradictory information away in the small print on the other.
  9. If I was in your shoes I would only do this: Dear Sir, Your contact with me is harassment. Your continued harassment is causing harm to me. I have told you I am not the person you think I am and the onus is on you to follow debt collection guidance and ensure you are chasing the correct person. I do not have to do this for you nor answer your snotty stupid letters. Should you contact me again, I will log each contact and report them to the police. I will also reserve the right to make a claim against you for compensation for the harm you are causing by your harassment. (Protection from Harassment Act 1997) Yours sincerely, Andrew's wife. PS (Optional) You are driving me bloody mad and if you contact me again I will come around to your place and smash your teeth in with a baseball bat!
  10. I can't imagine that many caggers will sympathise with an attempt to not pay a debt that you owe, However, With a name like Smith, especially a J Smith, one would expect the creditor to take every possible step to verify the identity and match the paperwork of the debtor to ensure enforcability:|
  11. I think you should let your MP know about this too.... HMRC seems to be behaving in a way that is contrary to the Government's message of supporting small business! 20 Quid per phone call is disgusting.....

  13. I'll find the thread and post the link then you can ask cagger who knows about it yourself.
  14. Take out an insurance policy...? The problem is that most people don't get a chance to just lose a holiday and take extra time off to have a replacement one. Compensation doesn't cover that.
  15. If they are telling you when to work, where and how, then you are employed. The key feature of self employment is that you determine everything about how you work.
