  1. well went to my apportionment, sat there for nearly 2 hours to see the woman for about ten mins, ive got to call in 2 week time just to keep them updated on my situation and see if they have received that i am no longer getting jsa
  2. yes i said that to them, if i do sign off before the appointment, would i have to still go, they said yes because they wont have the change in circumstances thing
  3. well just called the work program provider, i have still have to go in even though ive signed off before the appointment they have to receive the change in circumstances how long does that take to happen or am i better signing off today
  4. i am on the work programme, but i am changing to carers allowance, which starts on the 26th of this month, i know the last day off my claim will be the Sunday, but i just go and sign off on Friday but i have a work programme appointment, would i still have to go to this
  5. changed the advert but still using this scheme, tk maxx has pulled out as of tonight
  6. yip these work experience schemes have conditions, say you say no at the first time your mandated to go on it, your tune it down no money for three months, do it again for a second time no money for 6 months, do it for a third time 3 years
  7. they are back tracking saying it was a mistake, it should have been work experience with a guaranteed interviews, but still for jsa and expenses, they also said in the last few months they have used 1400 people through this scheme but took on 300 people
  8. DWP pay the bus fares or what he expenses are, tesco dont pay nothing
  9. im not sure the hours but they say 30 hours a week under this scheme so if your under 25 its 53.45 a week so its 1.78 an hour over 25 67.50 a week 2.25 an hour, plus bus fares
  10. have you seen the story about tesco advertising a night shift job for jsa + expenses, now they are back tracking saying it was a DWP error is it not time for al these businesses to pull out of the scheme
  11. i just think this scheme is a total [problem], who in there right mind would want to work for a couple of quid an hour in this day and age in the uk, if when ever when at the work programme provider asks me about going on a placement i will be asking to prove to me, if i have any employment rights, i am covered under health and safety laws and am i covered by the companies i am at liable insurance, but if for some reason i went back to the place, ive worked at previously doing a placement, it would cost me more than a weeks benefit to get there
  12. i rad that when going for the security course and pass, but you only get the licence when you get a job through igneous
  13. what do you make of this, even though there is a couple of court cases going against this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2083871/Work-dole-Jobless-work-free-risk-losing-benefits-years.html
  14. i have been reading about this, and its being challenged in court, wonder if this will work for the 4 to 8 work experience which is in the work programme, and the CAP which will be used for all in 2013 but getting trailed in 4 places in England from this year
  15. hi there i have a vanquis card at the moment, and i went a bit daft and went over the limit, the now im just 58p over it, and few last times ive had to borrow to try get it underneath the limit, i applied for the card and got it, even though i told them i was unemployed and i was accepted i pay for this repayment option thing, but im finding it bit difficult to get it under the limit at the moment, and also have the cpp protection as well, should i cancel both these things, and im not sure if i am covered by the payment thing
  16. i dont know it was on the money saving expert forum, this person seems to think the 2 years while your on work programme, and the payment of the benefits is taken into consideration, saying that you will be working for the equivalent while getting benefits for those 2 years i don't know where they get this from, but from reading the story it says if you haven't found a job while on the work program you will be forced into this community for for 6 months at 30 hours a week and taking 67 quid for me into consideration that's just over 2 quid a hour
  17. OK im getting confused by this thing, on another forum some one was saying that they take in this 2 years of benefits into consideration when people are put on this community work thing this is from another forum Since you appear to be really struggling, I shall put it in the most basic terms Person is given £5,000 per annum Person only works 26 weeks a year 5,000 divided by 26 = 192.30 Therefore for the work done, person earns equivalent of £192.30 per week. Despite it being divided over 52 weeks. Surely even you can manage to work that one out. but they way this person saying this that the 2 years on the work programme, and paying benefits will be taking into consideration for the equivalent mouth of work for these 26 weeks or is it bull crap
  18. i was reading something under there own regulations where does it say we must work for benefits, seen this This article extends the scope that all the work for your benefit schemes under Section 17A cannot be enforced due to conflict between different clauses of the law. Whereas jobseekers can be requested to undergo “training” (employment programmes) such as the Work Programme and Mandatory Work Activity; they cannot be forced to work for their benefit. Under New Deal and Flexible New Deal MWRA jobseekers participated in work placements – regardless of the criticism of such, the placements were solely accounted for as to help jobseekers gain employment via new skills and more experience, rather than simply earning their benefits. This new Section 17A conflicts in law with the main provisions of the Jobseekers Act 1995. Regulations (if written correctly) can force jobseekers on a scheme made under Section 17A but cannot lawfully force a jobseeker to work for their benefits. Likewise, Jobcentre Plus cannot lawfully impose benefit sanctions on participants refusing to work for their benefits as long as they attend without prior refusal whilst just withholding their labour due to a lack of lawful authority. This is because the conditions for Jobseekers Allowance makes absolutely no mention of “working” to receive your benefit. Other than the main clauses, jobseekers are obligated to register for both employment and training. There is no such clause requesting jobseekers to earn their benefit by working any amount of hours. This is the reality that the Conservatives and the Coalition Government has to live up to – and thats ultimately the Work Programme will fail or be scaled back as a bare minimum.

  20. have a look at this http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/282607/Jobless-face-community-work/
  21. i think she phoned the equality and human rights commission and told them what happened and they said she has got a case
  22. well i found out a bit more tonight she started in September, 2 week's later she told them she was pregnant, and she says it went down hill since then, she had a meeting on Monday to discuss her job, and her hours, and she even has a rotter for her work from sep to Dec with her working 3 till 7, she said that they wait till the Thursday or Friday to ask her to work weekends, they she should work till 8 even though she's pregnant (and she also said that she didn't get enough to eat so it was stressing her out more), they didn't take that into consideration, she didn't get extra breaks, or even had a risk assessment done, so today she's got a letter saying they have terminated her contract as she wasn't committed to flexible working hours, she has phoned equal oppertunites and they she has a case for discrimination, and it wasn't through an agency her friend got her the job
  23. i am not sure if they have anyone in her place, i am not sure how long she has worked there as it was through an agency, and i think she had to work 13 weeks probation period, but im not sure as i don't know the ins and out of it, yes i am sure she told them she was pregnant, but i don't know when she told them, i have been trying to look into what this paid off for not meeting business requirments is, but no luck so far, but ive got a feeling its an excuse, but they have been hassling her about her job, even though her contract was 3 till 7 monday to firday
  24. hey there my friend has recently been paid off for not meeting business requirements, she was contracted to work from 3 - 7 Monday to Friday, from what ive herd they have been trying to get her to work a hour longer and at the weekend, and she also is 13 weeks pregnant any help would be great
