  1. Apologies on no video yet, I've been monitoring the nest and not seen any activity so I'm suspecting it's dead If it becomes live the video will be forthcoming
  2. I will try but in reality its going to be 2 pieces of 2x2, some string, a can of wasp nest killer and a drain inspection camera attached to a mobile phone Basically one of these but without paying £100 and with a camera on the top so I can see where it's pointing, although I might also add an angle into it so it fits in the space better
  3. Hate to admit it bank fodder if I can kill it it has to stay there The space it's in is approximately a foot tall I have no access to get close to the nest, I have the ability to build a remote sprayer (can screwed to a stick, with remote trigger and a inspection camera for aiming) But getting closer enough to remove it would involve removing solar panels, the mounts, a section of tiles and the under felt
  4. Hmmm Thinking on it not seen many around the garden but did spot one or two hanging around near the tiles Think I'll build a remote sprayer and tackle it carefully to be on the safe side
  5. Morning all Due to having an on off leak In the kitchen I've been up in the loft (nightmare to get in due to loft extension) Spotted this thing and came down sharpish (allergic to wasps) Not seen any really around the garden, or any around it so far What's the likelihood of it being an old nest?
  6. Quick question I notice you mentioned they were alternating between two addresses Are these addresses near the barn? It seems odd that a "much loved" pedigree pet would be kept far from the home Probably not that relevant a question mind you
  7. If it helps Total requested is 1,029.14 Breakdown is Excess and admin for vets now is 317.20, I total excess and fees on receipt 317.20 Excess and admin for Shrubbery vets 146.24 Excess listed on receipts is 111.25 + a vet receipt (details not listed) for 34.99 so 146.24 Petrol costs 65.70 - 6 trips listed in letter no breakdown Burial costs £42 - no receipt other than a claim of £192 to insurance for "vet fees burial/cremation" of which £150 was allowed Cost of cat £500 Pedigree certificate and receipt included for 1x Bengal cat It is stated in the letter that the burial was done by a local company however there is no receipt Tracing it on Google maps the location of the cat is approx 5 miles from the first vets, and 18 miles from the second. Pedigree "certificate" lists history, is missing registration number, the address is a semi detached house. Personally I suspect its someone who brought Bengals themselves flogging the kittens without registration, but there was a tica registered breeder with that name years ago (but apparently no internet presence)
  8. Quick question Page 4 of the appendix is an insurance claim for vets fees for burial/cremation One of the notes from the vet says the cat was taken home for burial Have they claimed some fees they weren't actually charged?
  9. I wouldn't worry at all about small claims btw Not usually that intimidating and usually fairly easy to go through, if they haven't got the evidence the judge will throw it out One question @dx100uk, is the protocol still notice 14 days before filing a claim? Just I noticed that one of the text messages said the paperwork would be taken to @danyboy72 house within the day - wouldn't that be in breach of protocol? apologies if I'm incorrect I've only done small claims a couple of times
  10. Just to add extra information This has come up before, not sure of outcome Woman fined for not understanding Home Bargains' Welsh language sign claims she was 'misled' - North Wales Live WWW.GOOGLE.COM The sign has even caused confusion among Welsh speakers The sign at the entrance is Welsh only There is from streetview a single sign in English retrospective permission for the cameras was given 2018 https://planning.denbighshire.gov.uk/planning/search-applications?civica.query.FullTextSearch=LL18 2DF#VIEW?RefType=PBDC&KeyNo=27702
  11. The keyword to use is "time to pay" that is wording that they use for payment plan
  12. I wonder how much renewables would produce if homes were allowed to put wind turbines on in the same way as solar At the moment it's a fight through planning permission, and despite the fact I would be happy to have a turbine on (and have brackets for a pole already on the house) I can't be bothered to fight through it
  13. Might not be a great help and I'm sure someone else will be along soon with more details but I would recommend a polite complaint to owen.woodley@postoffice.co.uk I tend to find that if customer services is dragging slightly the executive team has a little more clout and I usually get a quick and decent response from them
  14. And after a break of severals they decided rather than a deadlock letter they would aqueous and put the twin rates back until the new supplier takes over (which was this morning)
  15. Had an email from them saying that they will not be changed my tariff back and that they have not changed my contract simply corrected my contract and therefore those terms do not apply Asked for a deadlock letter
  16. Which apparently hasn't stop them switching me to single rate today Quoted a section of their terms and cons to them which says if they make any changes to my contract that disadvantages me I have 20 working days to switch supplier before the changes take place Advised them I want that honouring and my dual rate re-enstating or a full explanation of why they won't follow their own t and c And still nowhere in those t and C's does it say I need a storage heater
  17. I'll be honest after calming down ice semi resolved this by putting in a formal complaint (re the threat to back bill) and moving supplier
  18. Ok I'll apologize as this is long I have an economy 7 meter, I've been on economy 7 for the last 16 years, 3 of those with British gas Yesterday my fixed rate deal ended, i emailed the person in the executive team I usually email my meter readings and simply ask if the smart meter part is working yet Get a message back that says "sorry we don't support two tier smart meters, you are being moved to single rate" After a brief discussion their reasoning is, I don't have storage heaters and they're a legal requirement for economy 7, I explain that's not the case then get told "it's their policy" Admittedly I did something silly then which was told them I had one but only just put it in, hence a demand for photos of a serial number, it plugged in and working or no economy 7 He also said he would back bill me for 3 years then backed down when I explained he couldn't do that, I did try to record that part of the call but I think my phone has unfortunately had a mess up as I've got a recording but its blank It's really annoying me as I've got solar panels and charge an electric car so use about 80% of my power overnight Anyone got any advice or simply any pictures of their storage heater and serial they care to share?
  19. Caravan fuel cans full check Battery charged check 12v usb chargers fitted check And it's usually topped up.with canned stuff
  20. Go to the bank and invoke the direct debit guarantee Don't take no as an answer if they say it's a contractual dispute. Show them the letter and say you are not invoking it because of the dispute but because of it being taken on the incorrect date
  21. It may also be that the last owners are not the actual seller Copart buy vehicles via several websites (sellthecar.co.uk etc) once they sell the car to copart via them its no longer theirs and copart auctions it on Personal experience of that So you might not be able to blame the person on the v5
  22. Curiousity question from myself here Isn't there a possibility of putting a claim in against the car place for improper processing of personal data? I seem to remember this being done against parking firms a while back and being in the region of £750, in this case wouldn't it be reasonable to ask for more as it's resulted in extra costs relating to a vexious court case? Apologies for the quick steal of the thread it was just a sudden thought
  23. Apologies I was hoping the whois info would give more contact details Unfortunately the website is simply registered to a hosting company
  24. Daft question what was the website If it's a limited company it might say in companies house
