  1. Haven't a clue how you're going to get any type of reference in this situation. Has your current LL/LA give you in writing "you don't have to pay any more rent" ?
  2. Current LL/LA don't have to give you a reference. You stopped paying rent where you currently live which makes your situation worse and will not look very good with any new LL. Any new LL/LA will want to know if you can keep up and pay your rent on time. Any rent arrears the current LL can sue you for or deduct from a deposit or both as I said early on. You could get a section 8 notice read on http://tiny.cc/n1hvtz All I can suggest is you contact CAB, Shelter or local law centre, ASAP for further advice. ...
  3. You can refuse viewing if you want too, the health of your Family is more important than the fact the house needs to be sold. What does it say in your TA about viewings. You could agree to showing people around, the 2-meter rule, face mask worn by All, hand sanitizer, switch heating off, keep all the windows open during viewing and for an hour or so afterwards. If you do agree to any viewing arrange a time and date to suit you, your Family and not them. More importantly you need to get your new accommodation sorted out ASAP It's going to be longer than 6 months before you have to move out, read on http://tiny.cc/7sgvtz Good luck...
  4. While I can understand what you're going through. Not paying the rent is a very bad idea the LL/LA can deduct any arrears out of a deposit, sue you in county court for arrears or both ending up with a CCJ too. You're still liable to pay rent up until the day you move out and as per your TA agreement. You have a health condition you may be able to obtain a HA, local council property, but the fact you stopped paying your rent may affect any application for housing you make to a HA, local council or another private LL. You should seek advice from Shelter, CAB, Local council ASAP Good luck... ...
  5. I used Linux a while back on a pc with dual boot Windows/ Linux set up, and it was OK. Have been sticking to windows on my pc's as none of the games I play and a lot of software won't work on anything else ! New version of Windows due later this year due too... ....
  6. Hello Arty dinmore Tell them you are not happy and to wait until you left the property if they want to take any videos/pictures. They got No legal right to do so unless its says anything in a signed tenancy agreement about taking videos/pictures at the end of a tenancy. When you do leave take pictures/videos yourself, so they can't accuse you of damage so on and make false claims from your deposit. Take pictures of your gas and electric meters for final readings on the day you leave and inform utilities suppliers yourself, don't rely on LL/LA to do it for you. Good luck ...

Yours Sincerely
  13. Mia F It's your home. If you are happy showing whoever around tell the LL/LA subject to Covid-19 rules so on. But you Will not be allowing unsupervised visits to your home by any strangers. If LL/LA/surveyor are unhappy with that. That's their problem not yours. Good luck, keep us all updated on CAG
