I requested CCA's for my debts after they were passed around many different DCA's, and I wanted to make sure they had the right to collect them, and I didnt want to take these people on face value (especially as they were rude and agreessive).

Hi all Recieved a response today from RBoS, it is as follows, Dear Luminol Account xxxxxxxxxx,xxxxxxxxxx,xxxxxxxxxx We write in response to your letter dated xx/xx/xx The balance currently outstanding on your account is £14807.87. This is the Judegement of £14897.87 less payments of £90.80. Since the Judgement interest has been frozen and not applied to the account. We apologise if the statement which has now been sent under changes to the Consumner Credit Act has caused confusion. Our staff are available to take your call blah blah blah... Yours Sincerely Recover Manager. So this seems straight forward, although I have no idea why they have to send statements showing what they may have had in interest if it hadnt gone to court, is this for internal audits? Give it some thought before you stop making any payments seeing your not actually been chased, we had no choice, as financial circumstances left us totally unable to make any payments after essential debts, although you are entitled to have a CCA, so I understand your position. No nothing been paid, and has been passed to DCA, I wont pay until I see a valid CCA. I have advised them that the account is in dispute, they advised me they would refer it back to HSBC and I havent heard anything since. I'm glad about this, I could push them further as I imagine there are charges and interest but I have 3 ongoing fights on atm, so Im happy for the break to be honest.

I agree with 42 here, you have to report them for this regardless, otherwise theyll just keep on doing it, if not to you someone else who may not have found CAG. Good Luck Lumi

Hey Fretful, Im in kinda the same postition (Ive had exactly the same letter), I SAR them for a Credit Card debt, they wanted signature, Im refusing to give it them and they still havent found CCA that was 10 months ago now, so Im in Stalemate, I always wonder that if I gave them a signature whether a CCA would turn up days later, not wishing to imply anything ofcourse.
