Has this happened to any one else? Limit over £3000 only owed £160!! Received a letter today to say limit decreased to, wait for it!!! £260 from 1st September. I had used it to pay daughters "House Removers" and it was declined!!!! The inconvenience etc., it was the only card I was had on me at the time.I phoned them and they said apply for a limit increase in three months!! This was after being cut off once and being really rudely spoken to a second time. All they could say was well your Master Card has still a reasonable balance!!! I didn't have that with me. Is this the Credit Crunch?What would have happened if I was abroad, or in a dire emergency, as it was it was bad enough. I am so angry. Pinada golf lady:x

I have now received refunds from three mis sold ppi policies from the Cooperative Bank. They also sent me a basket of Fair Trade food products. How is that for a result!!!!!! Don't lose heart,persevere and be polite. Pinada Golf lady x:)

I involved the Financial Ombudsman after getting nowhere with the Coop Bank. I contacted them in October and received a confirmation of misselling of PPI last week. They said I had reached 65 ..and it should not have been sold to me. I am now awaiting a cheque for 2 years premiums plus interest.Result!!!!! I had also provided medical evidence to the F.O. which I shall refer to regarding the earlier PPIs. I intend to claim 2 earlier loans back on medical pre existing conditions. :D Iwould like to thank everyone on the site for the encouragement and support, I can't believe I have been able to get so far and to win:) Pinada golf lady x

PPI claim with Coop . Bank with the FO since September, sent loads of information to them. Telephoned today, they have already written twice to the Bank asking for info., so I think cases must be moving reasonably quickly. Halifax Visa have just offered the full amount including 8%!!!! I refused their previous offers and referred them to the FO. who acknowledged my letter 29th September and today I received a full settlement from the Halifax ,including two late payment charges I hadn't asked for.Originally they refused to pay anything. The FO. answer the phone and are so helpful.Something of a coincidence they settled after my writing to the FO.!! I too think you have a good case for a pre existing medical condition, I have also added that to my claim for ppi and have sent lots of medical proof to the FO. My claim is with the Coop. Bank. Good luck. Pinadagolf Lady.

What a mess the court system is in!!!! I have just sent my credit card claims by recorded delivery to the Financial Ombudsman today.They had all offered a pathetic refund!! It may turn out to be quicker than the courts!! Pinadagolf lady:mad:

Hi everyone, I have 1 credit card claim with Halifax .I sent letter refusing their offer and 2 Barclaycard ones also with poor offers. MY local court is ALTRINCHAM .I don't know whether to file an NI there ,OR MCOL.I have read such a lot about everyones experiences at their local court, it's a bit scary!! The credit cards should not be affected as I understand it, but some are! Would I stand a better chance at a local court? Any advice would fantastic. Good Luck everyone, Pinada Golf lady

Pinada golf lady F Ombudsman received my correspondence Sept 5th ,replied today ,to say they had received it and said they will provide a full response as soon as they can.

It was implied that taking out a ppi was essential in order to obtain a loan from the Coop Bank .I wasn't asked about any existing or previous medical conditions, which unfortunately I have. I h ave sent 2 letters ,starting early in June! I took the loan out in 2005,retired on health grounds in 1990. Today I have filled a Financial Ombudsman form in, their last letter ie. Coop Bank, after a14 day deadline, was a delaying letter!! I :) have also sent copies of correspondence. I feel there is a good chance of mis selling. Ido hope it doesn't take too long!!!
