After going through my charges again to detail what they were for, I came across one for £150. It said it was for a mortgage payment........nothing unusual in that, but, I have not and never had a mortgage with HSBC!!!! Went to the branch today, they evenntually after checks etc admitted they made a mistake- so credited back to my account today. They queried why I would be looking at statements that far back ( like they dont know), told em what I was doing etc etc. She then said the OFT has decided blah blah blah.... After reading soooooo much on this site I felt really intelligent when I corrected her

So just to say BIG thanks for all the info on here otherwise I would have believed what she was saying and never have known what they were taking.

They have till the w/end before I send my LBA.

I sent off letter asking for my charges back and included the caculation sheet (this was from Martin Lewis site). After reading lots on this site, I looked at the s/sheets and entered some charges and the totals are different, will it matter if I carry on with the rest of it on this site? Going through loads of posts - but still getting "brain-freeze"!!Thanks

Just wanted to say Hi!

I bank with HSBC and have sent off my letter (mon 12th) asking for the charges. I've been reading loads of posts and have noticed that some people have mentioned about having to wait till April 4th or just after for response. Is there anything particular about this date or is the way to go about claiming is going to change. Sorry if this has been answered already
