  1. Nice one Juckster, Amend their letter to strike out the confidentiality sentence. And amend the phrase,.....in full and final settlement of the whole of your claim..... to ................full and final settlement of this claim..... Initial both amendments, fax back and await dosh. Slick
  2. Hi 119Parrot, You need to start your own thread. Go back to the last page, hit the 'New Thread' button and you can ask away with any questions and you'll get lots of help and support. Slick
  3. Hi Firefly, Rec'r letter from Kate today with full offer as promised but I think it was so quick as my Prelim Hearing date is 11th July. They must be swamped so you may have to wait another week or two. Good luck anyway. Slick
  4. Hi Tezl, Regards to Mrs Tezl - shingles is horrid so you look after her and keep her stress-free. Re your post #149, you've sent in your updated SOC to Court and Barclays so now you wait for Coventry judge to review and decide how to proceed next. If he wants an AQ, that's when you send in the Draft Directions. Hang on in there. Slick
  5. Hi Pov, just noticed what you said about dial-up on last page. I can sympathise cos I was until end of May. I would have liked. to spend more time here but was always concious of the minutes ticking by. Now on talktalk broadband which is just as well as I've spent the last month here almost every day reading, learning and getting support and inspiration. Worth it in the end though. Good luck with your claim, Slick
  6. Letter offering full settlement (charges, s.69 int't and court costs) rec'd this am. Marked Without Prejudice but they reserve right to disclose its' contents if I reject offer! Just doing the letter of acceptance to fax back to Kate, wait for money in my a/c, discontinue at court, wait for Mexican Wave from Dar£n, then donate to CAG. Thanks for your good wishes, Slick
  7. Thought I'd try for the prize on YOUR thread. School teacher? Slick
  8. To hell with the hangover for once. You'll hear when my champagne cork pops. Slick
  9. Brain surgeon? Sorry for hijack Rusty Slick
  10. Nice one, Oneofakind. Enjoy that more-expensive-than-usual red wine. My champagne is on ice while I wait for my letter from Kate. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/barclays-bank/70074-slick-barclays-business.html see here for update. Slick
  11. No Saintly, when I get the letter from Kate, I'll be ready and waiting with my Striker Outer pen. On a serious note, have I done wrong by posting my news today. It didn't even cross my mind I was so excited. Slick
  12. Hi BCB, They ARE simply stalling you which is why you stick to your own timescale. Send your LBA 14 days after your first request for refund. Ignore their reply as it is irrelevant. You don't need to include the Copyright marks. Good luck and don't worry if B's can't keep up with you! Slick
  13. No word today from Kate so emailed Dino who promised she'd respond today. She did within 20 mins and with my full claim on offer. See here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/barclays-bank/70074-slick-barclays-business.html and good luck to all. Regards, Slick
  14. Great news Nicethan - full offer is s'posed to be going out to me t'nite. I can't believe I haven't had to prepare all the Court Bundles plus postage. I'll keep watching yours - my update is here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/barclays-bank/70074-slick-barclays-business.html Regards, Slick
  15. Hi Firefly, Have a look at my update - RESULT! Good luck, Slick
  16. No word from Kate today in response to voicemails and emails so sent following to Dino: Hi Dino, Claim No. 7XXXXXXX Thanks for your very quick response yesterday. I have called Kate 3 times but no reply so left 2 messages. I also emailed her at 13.04hrs today with no response, despite the hearing being just 6 days away. I appreciate how busy you and your colleagues are but would just like to know if this means you are not prepared to settle. I need to know so I can take time off work as necessary. Thanks for your attention. Dino was slow today taking 13mins to respond saying he'd make sure Kate replied today. 20mins later, Kate called to say letter was going out tonight offering to settle in full with interest up to today. She had no copy yet of Hearing Notice so I offered to copy it to her (even though it's for Prelim) but she said not to worry. So I've been lucky with the short-notice Prelim date saving several trees in not having to prepare 3 Court Bundles. I'll wait for offer letter and dosh before discontinuing but, in the meantime, Thanks to Dar£n and Saintly who do such great work here. Thanks also to everyone who's threads have answered questions, inspired me and kept me going when doubts were all around. YEEEEEEE HAAAAAAA Slick PS Donation will follow receipt of dosh - worth every penny.
  17. Crisp7, The usual advice is that you have an up-to-date Schedule of Charges ready for when you speak to the Lit'n Team which includes your full claim, interest to date plus all court costs. You can then also ask that they include banks charges incurred SINCE your initial claim amounting to £xxx. Have a list of these charges ready to send to Lit'n if they need. They should add on the recent charges and settle in full. Good luck, Slick Slick
  18. Hi Trueblue, It's a great site - really inspiring. Nice to see someone so laid back and not panicking. What till you get further down the line though. Good luck. Slick
  19. Hi Firefly. I'll watch here carefully as I am at the same stage and I've made similar contact with the Lit'n Team. Good luck, Slick
  20. Boba, Well done. Glad you managed to negotiate a compromise - Great Result. Slick
  21. Vincymum That was a 4th of July question - special lunch menu - baseball? Forget it! How's the boy with his foot injury anyway. Slick
  22. I emailed Dino for 1st time today and he responded in just 8 mins to confirm who's d/w my claim and that he's fwd'd my email accordingly.
  23. Sent updated SOC by email to Dino who replied in 8 mins to say who's d/w my case. Left message with Kate asking her to contact me asap, please. Slowly, slowly - Catchee money. Slick
  24. Nicethan, apparently my Court only has limited resources and they have made more Judges time available to catch up with backlog of cases. So instead of my prelim being in sept or oct, it's next week. Rosemary T-B is the solicitor but I've emailed Dino at the Lt team to ask who's d/w my claim and if they'll settle. Slick
  25. Well done and Congratulations! Slick
