Hi guys just thought that I'd let you all know that I telephoned Abbey Customer Services today (about 5 minutes ago!) on 0845 600 6014 and spoke with a really lovely guy called Steven. I have requested a complete set of bank statements for the last 6 years. He has ordered all of the statements for me, and apparently, I should receive the last 13 months worth of bank statements in the next 7 days and the remaining 5 years worth of statements should be with me in about 4 to 6 weeks AND they haven't charged me the £10 so my statements are free which always a bonus If you do telephone though, be aware that you may be on the telephone for a while just whilst they are requesting the information on the system - i was on the telephone for 16 minutes in total. hi there just found your website - crikey, I had no idea, its been a real eye opener reading through the various threads on the forum. Anyway, just sent my first letter to HSBC this morning (am sending it by next day delivery) asking for refunds of £100 - its not a lot I know, but it would extremely handy to have it back and I didn't have it spare in the first place! one question, do you think its worth faxing my letter over to them as well? fingers crossed !
