  3. Don't give up, I got paid out eventually after 5 years! It was much less than I had worked out BUT I got a letter direct from Santander in march to say they were looking at my claim again! They have made me an offer, which I dont think is enough. I'm trying to find the interest calculators on this site now to recalculate... anyone around to show me where to find them please?
  4. I filled in the questionnaire with minimal details as they have all the details. They are upholding my complaint. They are paying me the rest of what's owed as I started my claim in 2009 and was paid nov 13! Don't give up!
  5. I got my money eventually although it was just the premiums paid plus 8%. Mine took nearly 4 years! Emmtay

  7. Hi, I guess you can mark this as WON now! Email correspondence today.... Dear M&S Thank you for getting me the answers to my questions. Please arrange for the calculations to be re-done using todays date, and I will accept your offer, plus the £300 compensation. Please resend these figures for me to check. I wish for the money to be paid directly into the following bank account, and trust you have the technology to do this today? Account Name- Account Number- Sort Code- Yours sincerely And their reply... Dear...... Thank you for your email accepting the Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) refund and compensatory payment. I have recalculated the refund as of today’s date and the new figure is £6406.43. I've attached the revised calculation for your records. The password to open this document is ********** (case sensitive). I've arranged for a same day transfer to your bank for £6706.43, which includes the £300 compensatory payment. The funds should be at your bank by close of business today. I'm sorry for the delay and inconvenience caused, however I am pleased that we have been able to reach an amicable resolution. Kind regards Nearly 4 years and extremely stressful, but a result at last, and thanks for the ims and citizenB xx
  8. Actually, could that be Emmtay V Colonial/Chatham/Paragon Finance please?
  9. Could one of the site team pop by and rename this thread Emmtay v Colonial/Chatham Finance please?
  10. Hi, still no-one knows who the underwriters for these are? Endeavour have sent back SAR saying they hold no details in my name!
  11. I'm STILL trying to find out who the underwriters were for these, anyone come up with a name yet?
  12. ok, thanks very much for ALL your help ims, and thanks citizenB too. Will post back to let you know how I get on at the last part!
  13. However, I respect your knowledge ims, and would like to know if you were in my shoes, would you escalate to court or not?
  14. Surely as they have admitted they mis-sold the PPI I wouldn't have to prove much? What would it entail, would I need to involve a solicitor? I claimed my bank charges back through MCOL a few years ago but it didn't get to actually going to court stage, so I'm a little nervous about doing it, but £6k is a big difference to the 26K I had oroginally worked out! Also, I feel a bit p***ed off as I have been waiting over 3.5 years for this, so can't help but feel I want every penny I can get from them if you know what I mean!
  15. oh, so basically if I took them to court I wouldn't get anymore then?
  16. But why is the payment date not 21/02/1994? Thats when they first charged me.
  17. Hi Im confused! Using the stat int sheet recommended on here, I put in those figures, which total 4412.82, with a claim from date of 21/2/1994 and claim to date of 24/5/2012, and it says interest is 6472.46, therefore total 10,885.28! Plus the 300 comp, 11,185.28. Cheers Emmtay
  18. Off to bed in a minute as early start tomorrow, thanks again for all your help with this, cheers Emmtay
