Hi Guys N Girls!

Newbie here - so impressed by what I've read so couldn't resist......

After haunting these enlightening forums for a while I've now sent off DPA letters (with no £10 fee - no mention of it) for 2 accounts to Linda Young.

Got one letter back saying they would supply statements for one account today, no mention of other as of yet.

Let the Games comence!!

Hi,

Welcome to the forums.

When you say "no mention of £10 fee" - where are you referring to? The general consensus here is the the £10 fee IS included, as it is receipt of this (or acknowledgement that it was waived) determines when the 40 days starts.

That aside, keep reading the FAQs, looking around and joining in. Good luck with the claim...:)

Hi Spiceskull

Thanks for the welcome.

It's my understanding after talking to some legal eagle friends that the £10 is purely an "administrative cost" (& interestingly could be interpreted as a "fee"!!) and it's the receipt of the letter itself which kicks off the whole 40 days notice :)

I might be wrong in my understanding, after all I am a bear of very little brain.

Hi

I got my first lot of statements through.....

Really sorry but have read FAQ's and still have a stupid question.

Can I reclaim debit interest on the account as well as all the other "charges"?

Ta muchly

KK:-D
