Hello there... :)

So I foolishly assumed I'd be one of these people who asked their bank to repay penalty charges and they'd say, 'it's a fair cop' and hand the lot back... Not so :(

I wrote to Clydesdale some time ago asking for copies of my statements going back 6 years. After 61 days I received my statements. I was shocked at how much they all amounted to. Wasn't sure if I was angry, embarassed or excited.

Next day I wrote to them again with a list of all my charges and requested repayment in full.

Another 15 days later and today I've received what I think is the standard "Here are 8 reasons why we've done nothing wrong and it's your fault you got charged in the first place" letter.

Sooooo... Tomorrow's post will contain my response asking again for my money - plus interest this time - in stronger terms! I'm thinking I'll include an offer of a settlement figure in case they feel like not dragging it out to the bitter end.

Trawling through this forum now to see if I can find others who've had similar dealings with Clydesdale... Any voices of experience welcome!
