Because it'll show you don't have the oustanding balance they claim you owe. Vodaphone are wrong in not suplying written evidence of no debt and should be reported to TS, the OFT and your MP.

I'm having problems with Capquest. They started ringing me about 2 months ago asking for payment on a debt that doesnt belong to me. Its for a Vodafone contract which I apparently cancelled?! I have spoken to Vodafone who said they have had no record of passing my information onto this company & Vodafone have said that my account with them has never had any problems so they had no reason to pass my details on [accounts only get passed on if they have been suspended/missed payments etc]. I have told Capquest that I have nothing to do with the debt and that I am not paying it. They investigated the matter with Vodafone for fraud & didnt find any issues and are now demanding payment - sometimes ringing me up at 8.30 in the morning! I have repeated my self so many times to this company & also wrote them a letter but they are still wanting payment. I have asked Vodafone for a letter to state that there is nothing wrong with my account so I can prove this to Capquest but they said they cant do that.

 

Will having capquest after me affect my credit rating?

 

What am I meant to do? I have never had any problems like this before.

 

 

 

 

If you search these forums widely enough you will find many many people in your same situation.

Crapquest are the parasites of the industry and settle at nothing to make you believe that you owe something. Their favourite trick of all....... cut and paste a logo onto a piece of paper and make up an old statement to make it look genuine, thus convincing you its real.

Do not send them anything, never speak to them on the phone, they rely on phone calls to convince people they are right.

 

Ok first things first....

SAR Vodaphone, this will confirm in writing that no debt exists or ever existed.

SAR Crapquest, if you get a reply ( probably wont) it will give you all the evidence you need to go one of two ways depending on how you feel about the issue.

Vodaphone will confirm no details therefore open and shut case, Crapquest will fraudulantly show some info.

Route one....

Take allincriminating evidence to the local court house and immediately file for full compensation from Crapquest, siting breaches of Data Protection,CCA and damages for harrasment and stress involved.

You will have a watertight case with the above situation, look forward to the winners circle.

Route Two....

Send said copy of Vodaphone SAR to Crappyquest and ask nicely that they refrain from any further contact and crawl back under the rock from which they emerged from.

 

I know which route i would take, if there is one thing that this excellent site has tought me and thousands of others like me, it's to fight these parasites head on and never back down until you win.

there's a chineese women at capquest with a right ****ing attitude , a few months ago she was ringing me everyday at least 15 times / day chasing a credit card debt ,i explained to her that the matter was in the hands of some specialist solicitors who deal with unenforcable credit aggreements and that basically i wasnt giving them jack, sadly this ****ing witch would not stop pestering me so i had to go a bit Don Logan on her telling her that if she carried on pestering me ,i would cut her ****ing hands off and use them 4 ash trays. Ive not heared nothing for the last 4 weeks.
