I sent the preliminary letter for both mine and my wife's accounts (me claiming 572 plus interest, the wife 3425 plus interest) and Halifax have responded promptly with the letter saying that they will look at the cases within 4 weeks.

I have been advised that I should ignore this and send the next letter. Do I need to even mention the letter we've received from Halifax in this letter or just send it?

Appreciate any guidance on this. Terrified I'll do something wrong.

You are doing fine Chris,

Ignore this letter, you dont have to respond to it. Carry on and at the end of your 14 days send your lba.

Thanks a lot for this. Somebody told me to send the letter straight off as they have responded but I thought I should wait for the 14 days to be up like you say. Do you think I definately need to do that?

Regards

Chris
