No worries,

I am amazed how hassle free my claim was compared with the trials and tribulations that some peeps have gone/are going thru - in fact I actually got about 4% more than I claimed for so whether I had not claimed for everything I could and RBS added those I don't know but I will take it:-)

whilst RBS might be progressing the claim, you should progress with the FOS just to make it official - "as soon as possible" could be 2 weeks time, it could be two months. Rest assured as soon as they know the FOS are involved they will sort it!!!

RBS are one of the banks involved in the test case.

Lloyds TSB: S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) - WITH Information Commissioners Office

Thats just my luck! I've read that the FSA will waiver their complaints procedure pending the outcome of the test case which could take forever!

FOS will apparently not accept anymore claims.

So am I supposed to wait for the outcome or is there anything else I could do?

On a side note, Im sure the banks must have something up their sleeve to agree to this test case. Something is beginning to stink...

Ok, after the initial shock of the OFT announcement, I wonder if someone could enlighten me as to when I can start charging interest on my claim?

The way I see it, assuming the OFT win their case,(which probably wont happen owing to our corrupt politically incorrect judicial system) the banks will have successfully held onto my money for another couple of years (going by the average time it takes for the courts to deal with these cases). So, would I be justified in charging interest from the date of my initial claim?

Just hypothetically, Assuming £5000 dated from 16th May 2007, lets say it takes 2 years to sort out, 2 years at 8% of £5000 = £5832

Comments very welcome

Another question, I see from other threads about being told to put your claim in regardless of the OFT/FSA announcement on Friday. NOw this is fine if you have a claim in England or your claim is below the £1500 summary cause in scotland. What would be the best route to take for me now as my claim is approx £5000 and the FOS are suspending all claims?

Im aware of ordinary cause but that will cost a lot of money and Im not sure if the court will proceed with a case until this test case is settled. Any advice please?
