Hello thank you for taking the time to read this.

I currently have two accounts with MBNA which I have requested a refund of

charges on. The first one the charges are £605 MBNS have offered £340, the

second one the chgs are £315 MBNA have offered £140. Should I accecpt their

offer, if not which letter do I then send.

Secondly both my accounts are with their collections dept and have the

interest frozen. Due to the fact I have financial difficulties, they have

offered to take the refund off the bal. I have read that I can ask for a

chq, can I do this if the account is with collections?

Sorry I'm sure these questions are answered on the website, but I'm a little confused and unsure what to do.

Thank you

Sam

Hello Sam, and a warm welcome to you.

Of course what you do is up to you.

I would advise that you

a) hold out for the lot, you will get it.

b) paying off your debts is not a bad thing, you would knock £920 off the balances.

some have got cheques... but they will try and reduce what you owe.

have you looked in here?
