I hope someone can give me advice on this subject.

Last September I was struggling with debt and took out a loan to pay all my credit cards. I then cut up all my cards, including my Capital One card after paying all the balances off.

However, I had paid too much off my Capital One card which left me £9.34 in credit, which has been on my account until about a month ago.

A month ago I found a letter from them which included Capital One cheques. I then used a cheque to pay £9.34 into my account.

My balance is now £3.04 as they have charged me £3.00 cheque withdrawal fee and interest.

I know it is a small amount but I begrudge paying them anything for money that was mine in the first place. Besides, I have to watch every penny until my loan is paid off.

Should I pay the balance? I thought I would write a letter of complaint but I am unsure how to word it.
