Hello

I wonder if anyone can help me on this, we leased a laptop from PC World through Rentsmart Ltd when our business was doing well. Subsequently our business fell on hard times and we began to fall behind on payments for which we were charged £100 a time!!!! I phoned Rentsmart to ask how much it would cost us to get out of the lease as we could no longer afford the rental on the equipment and since the business was downsized it was surplus to requirements. I was told it would cost us, if I remember rightly, around £1700 (for a laptop which had a retail value of under £1000 when new!) OR we could pay the balance on the remaining term of the lease AND return the laptop:eek:   OMG!!! Not knowing what to do for the best, I foolishly forgot all about it and I believe there is now a default on the a/c. We are still in posession of the laptop, which incidentally has had problems more or less since we got it and won't go online but as our a/c was in arrears we felt unable to go to them and ask them to service it.

These are rough figures given to me during a phonecall which took place months ago, but surely this can't be right??

Anyway, I now wish to send an SAR- does anyone know where I might send this to?

Many thanks in advance:D

How do I go about getting the info then? We're not a limited company, hubby is a sole trader. Name of the business is pretty much his name followed by his trade and any account opened would have been opened by him only, however they do address correspondence to the business name.
