Hi

Does anyone know about the Morgage Lender - Mortgage Trust

My partner and I have a mortgage with these, and we have aculimated lots of administration fees due to being in arrears.

These fees are £35 a month, if we been in arrears for a few years, trying to catch up, these fees could payback the arrears quite easily.

We already pay extra for the Arrears in extra interest, and they are also charging this Arrears Administration fee of £35

So if anyone has started action against a morgage lender such as Mortgage trust, Can you let us know, and we can follow the same / similar route

Thanks

Regards

Sophie

Thank you

These charges are unlawful provided that they represent a disproportionate penalty. What you have to be aware of is that there may well be moire manual intervention in a mortgage account than a current account.

Even if you know what your charges are you should send the DPA request as this asks for details and notes of manual intervention for your account. If it's clear that they've had to do a lot of work, it may be more difficult to make a succesful claim.

I'm in the middle of a battle with my old mortgage company and it's very likely that this is going to court. There is going to be a real argument about the amount of work that the mortgage company had to do and whether the charges reflected trur cost.

Hiya

Will be keeping an eye out on how your claim proceeds

In the meantime, Will start with the DPA request, and check how much they been taking
