hello everyone

I got a letter from Mackenzie hall last week and today telling me i owed a sum of money. I agree i did at one point owe this money, but as i went bankrupt 5 years ago (after i had the debt) surley now it shouldn't be active.

I done a google on "mackenzie Hall" and was directed here, am i glad about that!!

have now binned the letters.....have i done the right thing?

Its difficult to answer you specifically since the info is vague.

You don't say what the original debt was for. Most debts cannot be pursued

after bankruptcy, but things like outstanding fines can and perhaps debts that could not be claimed before bankruptcy. Other debts perhaps

involving child maintenance can be removed only by a Court Order.

 

Take a look at your credit file and see what is listed for you.
