Dear all

Good news - Abbey have capitulated and paid up - £755.

Story is as follows: sent letter to Abbey in February threatening court action if they didn't refund these charges. They wrote back telling me to bog off.

Started court proceedings through moneyclaim in March. Abbey filed a defence. I did nothing. Then soon after, Alan Squires wrote offering 50%. I did nothing again.

Then this week, a cheque for the full amount of my claim was paid into my account at Abbey Milton Keynes branch. I have had a letter from Alan Squires denying that this amounts to an admission of liability.

The moral of the story folks is, sit tight & they give up. This is the 2nd claim I have won against them. Last year they paid up £1041 after an undefended claim.

I have also recently been re-imbursed £498 by MBNA.

So be of good heart, you will get your money because the law is on our side.
