Listen carefully, can you hear that?

...Yes, that!!!

It's the sound of an "action-against-unlawful-bank-charges" snowball growing bigger...and BIGGER...and BIGGER!

It's the sound of thousands upon thousands of people, catching on to being duped for years...and beginning to do something about it.

Curiosity got the better of me - I had a look at a thread from 20 January 2006 - BF's reply at that time included the comment "we are only a small group of people...".

We're not now are we?

Sincere thanks to all of you who are making this work,

Regards,

Bean

They will not do anything yet because if we take the figures from Which? of £4.7 Bn being made by the banks in unlawful charges, over £2.6 Million being returned is almost nothing.

0.0554% in fact

Plus you must remember that most of the "legal" work is being carried out by in-house solicitors or solicitor's firms that are contracted to the banks, therefore any money spent by banks on these claims is merely moving round in a circle giving tax benefits too, we should be on commission.

iGroup (GE Money) - AoS Filed late, defence late, amended defence also late despite extra time requested and granted.

Vanquis - Claim issued, no AoS or Defence received

Just a shame that they still are not listening...

Perhaps the banks are not listening yet, but the UK public are.

For my own interest, I have just sketched a graph of survey results over past months and it makes for dramatic viewing. In fact, to keep this on a snowball theme, it looks like a steep upward slope in the Alps!

Bean

I agree that even £2.6 million in these relative terms is so tiny, but this is growing like topsy. £2.6 million is a remarkable testimony to the efforts of the founders of this site and all those who have helped to date. Where is this going to be in 6 months, a year?

Plus it's not just about the money recovered to date. It's about a host of issues including bank credibility, customer service, customer retention, free banking, corporate power, consumer power, due process of law, social responsibility, restitution, and the little man.

Bean

:D :D :D Nice one reload you Joker!!!

By it's nature, this thread will pop up at intervals.

This time it happened because Sophie-Jane is back and obviously frustrated that she has not had a reply to her claim. Let's hope that changes soon...if I can just...reach...my...bat...utility...belt!
