hello all i just got a new credit report through experian it showed that i had a defaulted in 2005 with hillsden securites aka direct legal but the original debt was defaulted in 2002 with welcome finance when i checked my report in 2004 are they allowed to keep on passing the buck and adding on dates for the original agreement i gave the car back etc car a right off not worth this debt please help thanks

You might want to go to my thread Ruthbridge -Bullying Tactics under general debt. I am having the same problem( my brother is). We are going back three years on this one. Don,t know if it will help as lots of adice. Waiting to hear from Martin3030.

For what it's worth, they've done the same thing to me.

I offered an ex-gratia payment of £2,000 for a £2,500 debt which is showing on my account as defaulted already and they refused....... a few days latter a default appears for the same debt in Hillsden's name.
