Hi,

I just want to clarify with people just starting out...

Requesting statements over the phone or in Branch is NOT the same as sending the DPA letter, as in the templates folder.

If everyone could re-read the FAQ's who have done this bit and not sent the template, as I'm worried you will not have the appropriate information that you will need incase you get to court!

Copy statements do not supply all of the information which you might later rely on in court. It is for this reason that we tell you to ask for a complete list of charges under the DPA - but this template letter also asks for further information, like evidence of manual intervention.

The manual intervention is important if you need to give yourself a chance of winning the charges back, as you will need to show that the bank rarely uses any man hours when applying these charges or making decisions.

Please, everyone, before starting your claim read this Forum 1st, as the more you know the better chance you have of understanding how the claim will take shape.

Thank-you

Louise
